A good use for the port on the dongle, albeit a little niche, is for people who use mixing software like Elgato Wave. If you monitor your audio and use the audio source directly from your PC, you get hit with about 80ms in delay, which isn't too bad but is definitely noticeable. However, if you use the 5mm jack on the Wave XLR or the Wave microphone, you get the added benefit of zero latency monitoring.
With most wireless headsets on the market, the only way to get the zero latency monitoring is to plug the 5mm cable directly to your headset which defeats the purpose of having a wireless headset, but with the jack being on the dongle as well, you can plug in the 5mm cable to the dongle instead and still keep the functionality of the wireless headset AND get the benefit of zero latency monitoring.

A major problem I have (dealbreaker) is that this brand new $250 headset meant for PC gaming doesn't seem to support Windows spatial audio (Sonic/Atmos/DTS:X). That's ridiculous. Also there is no wired USB audio support. Also the Equalizer only has 5 sliders and there is no "Link EQ Sliders" button. Logitech really needs to fix this stuff.

The 3.5mm Aux-in in the dongle is ideal if you are using an audio interface (Focusrite, Eveo4, Rodecaster Pro tc) as your main audio on your PC but want to use a Wireless headset. The only other headset that does something similar is the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless with an Aux-in in the base station. Wish all brands did this as it's a MUST for me personally.

The 3.5mm input on the adapter is HUGE. A lot of streamers use a mixer, like a GoXLR to mix all of their audio. Then a single line out goes into a stream PC. With a setup like this, can't really use wireless headphones. There are very few headsets with an aux in. Another reviewer mentioned that the 3.5mm input on the dongle is only at 80% volume. Can you confirm this?

I find the Logitech more comfortable over the Audeze and part of that is the light weight and design. The sound is fairly close but you will get more volume out of the Audeze and better sound overall but if you can save $100 and get the Logitech Pro X2's on sale it's probably worth it! The mic on Razer is better than both, I'm curious to see recommendations on Wireless Headset + MIC Combos! I would imagine this headset plus a Quadcast s would be top tier combo and if wireless is not an issue probably PC 38x or Tygr R open back with quadcast or elgato wave3 mic. I like that this still has the 3.5mm jack over the Razer and would find this useful for some devices and if you were to use this on an Airplane for in-flight entertainment.

having a hard time with Xbox Series X compatible headsets. 1st i got was TB Stealth 700 ( 1st gen). nice, lots of features, good mic, but NOT, comfortable, made my head around my ears hurt, after a couple hours max. next, Razer Thresher for Xbox.. loved them. got 2.5 yrs out of them, and the plastic fitting that holds the head frame to the speakers, broke. just. .. snapped.. all i did was pick them up, kind of like plastic in the sun. killed me.. i loved them..
i had bought, last Prime day at Thanksgiving, some Razer Nari Ultimate ( haptic ). held them until, my others died, broke. etc..
OK. great sound, i mean, really crisp, very nice spectrum, and I have bad tinnitus, so "highs" are hard to hear along with vocal ranges. the Nari's were, well, are, great, in that. even more comfortable than the thresher, and i loved the thresher.
BUT........ the damn Nari's have a known, unfixed flaw- the Microphone hardly ever pairs up with your Xbox. you have to try,, 5-10-15 times, over n over, before finally, it pairs up.. then, its fine ! ! good sound, but, apparently, they know about it, and have no fix for it (Razer)..
i like Razer products for Xbox.. i have a new controller waiting to be used, my old Wolverine Ultimate has been beat to death for 2yrs+, and still working ( kind of amazing, it has 1500 hrs ?? of gaming on it ? and i am not gentle, been dropped a time or two, no repairs of any kind ).. Razer gaming chair ( for my PC )..
but, i bought a pair of 20th Ann Xbox headphones.. and just not... great... sound is OK,, maybe almost as good as the Thresher, but highs are a little weak. big issue is the microphone. its boom is Way toooooo short, and lands about at your cheek, no where close to your mouth. so unless you REALLY SPEAK UP AND ALMOST YELL... you get " dude, i can barely hear you.." :"Man you sound so far away"...
nothing IN GAME isnt maxed out, so i cant DO anything else. sending it back just because of that. earcups are OK, need to be about a 1/2 inch wider, really, as they are Oblong, which i dont care for. i have, average ears ?? maybe slightly bigger than average ?? but its the fit around my ears, pressing my head, that bothers me.. thats where the Razers have shined..
so i am trying the Wired HyperX Cloud II headset.. no, not top tier, but, i cant shell out almost the price of a new Xbox Series S or X, for headphones.. my ears wont know the difference.. and the Hyper X have an "in line" adjustment for muting, surround sound, voice volume, game volume, which i really like. so details to follow.. lol...
love your channel by the way...

Hey I had a tb stealth 700 and they just snapped so I'm in the market for a new headset for my Xbox, you got any recommendations because I've been looking at a lot and it's kinda stressing me out lol, I want a headset that won't snap on me but is still good ya know

    • @RodgerRamjet
      @RodgerRamjet ปีที่แล้ว

@@dolfuny well, i actually bought 4 pairs of wired headphones, to do my own test..so far, the only one worth using, is the Steele Series new Arctis Nova 3. not my fave, ear pieces are a tiny bit, tight on the ears ? sound is excellent, Mic works well, but, for me, wasnt the best comfort. Razer wireless in general, have been my "go to" headphones, but, my last pair, Razer Ultimate Nari with haptic ( you feel vibrations in your headset ), WOULD have been awesome, BUT, they have a bug, i didnt know about- the Mic takes forever to Sync with your Xbox. its a genuine struggle to get it to recognize ( think restart the headphones over and over, and over, and over ). sound is awesome, controls for chat/audio/environment, lights up when you mute your mic. But that constant "MAYBE;' it will connect, maybe it wont" with the mic, is terrible.
i DONT recommend, Razer Kraken X Ultralight ( Wired ), feels incredible cheap, sound was OK, at best. Logitech G Pro X- sounded great, felt great, look and feel premium.. Mic didnt work out of the box.. very disappointed.. they were the best of the ones i tried so far (all wired, again, not wireless ).
i would look at Razer Kaira Pro,, if you want to spend $130-$200, Razer Hammerhead or Razer Blackshark V2, you can find some "renewed" on Amazon, and save 30% or more... also...Steele Wireless Series 3 or 5 ( 7 if you like to spend money ).
also, its an old model,, like 5 yrs old, but, Razer Thresher for Xbox, i had those for 2.5 yrs,, until they broke- i am not the most gentle on my headphones, and got my moneys worth , easily. great sound, great mic, never a single Sync problem with my Xbox One X, or my Series X.. $80 on Amazon, same as Nari ultimate ( which are better, but, that mic connection issue, is a pain in the ass )..

@@TheTechne for £249 it does not seem reasonable maybe with the 20% logitech student discount for £199 . Razer kraken v3 pro really stands out for me for £189, 179 from john lewis but they couldnt ship it to me. I had problems with my pro x wireless but these problems seem to be for most users, white noise is very noticeable on most wireless headphones not on the kraken v3 pro, unless you turn the headphones hardware volume (scroll on headset) to max its slightly audible, but still beats most wireless headsets. Pro x wireless had only volume control for software hardware blasts speakers at 100% with no option to adjust, i believe these set volume only for software too not hardware, i see this has a different clamp on head design which probably doesnt squeeze your head as much as the last iteration to give you a headache, a bit of improvement, but kraken v3 pro gives more for a cheaper price. LEDS Good bass, haptic feedback, very customizable, leds. If these v2 lightspeeds were a little bit cheaper maybe i would try it out.

But it's also useful if you have a device that doesn't support audio over usb; you can plugin the 3,5mm and use a different power source or a usb on the same device for power. Both sound very good. Hope that helps you!

The only gripe I have with the OG G Pro X is the comfort. I don't know what's causing it but these make the top of my head hurt after a while, to the point where I've started to just game with wired Apple EarPods. The 2nd gen seems to be great but I don't want to run into the same problem comfort wise.

Hello, can you confirm that the ear clips are now metal and not plastic like the first model? Thanks

  • @thebigdlu

Although it may seem like a minor thing, that ear cup swivel is a huge upgrade. I owned the previous version and it was a terrible design flaw with the fixed position. When removing one earcup to hear what was going on in the room, there would be tension between the metal headband and the plastic piece that was held together with two very small metal screws. It broke within 9 months and I taped them together with gorilla tape. Logitech replaced them with eventually the same result. :(

  • @larryhawley3238

For the price...we should have cloth pads automatically, the pleather pads shred way too fast. And the pop filter (windscreen) should be primo without needing to buy additions. With the price increase on such a nice pair of headphones, there should never be a need to pay more to 'upgrade' one of the most expensive headphones on the market.

That mic test was so disappointing. If they were going to majorly upgrade anything, it should have been that. The mic is the area where most headsets are really lacking and where Corsair excels. At my job I sell so many Corsair headsets on the mic alone. Any company that nails the mic will set themselves apart in the current market. If the mic had been significantly better on these, then I could see justification for the upgrade, but I really don't think graphene drivers are really enough to sell people on a new versions of these. There are simply better headsets out there.
