- The Camera Lenses on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra are not what you think... Get protection for your smartphone TODAY: www.dbrand.com... The Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year. The Android Flagship to rule all Flagships. But this year - Samsung appears to have been sleepin on the job. With the Galaxy S25 ultra pretty much the same as the S24 ultra. Yeah - they included a bunch of AI stuff that nobody wants. But I'm thinking maybe use some better glue on the camera lenses next year?

As a Galaxy user since the S1 and the Note 3, it's been frustrating. They give you awesome features, then slowly take them away, but always asking for more money. Sensor downgrades, IR blaster, swappable battery, headphone jack, SD card slot, camera downgrade, SPen downgrades. Maybe ok in their base "normie" model, but the Ultra isn't feeling very "ultra".
Totally didn't expect such "unnovation" from Samsung....

Imagine knowing they were too cheap to make the buttons titanium.
I’ve enjoyed Samsung phones, the S7, S8+ and the note. But something about Samsung lacks the quality assurance of Apple. I know that Apple would never glue camera lenses to their phone.

So much so they actually nerfed the long range zoom on the S23U via software updates, with the biggest and most obvious one being the 6.1.1
I thought it wouldn't be much different but the S25U has been a big step up from the S24U. Better camera, faster charging, battery is lasting significantly longer, screen is much less reflective and doesn't show fingerprints nearly as much, easier to hold with a more premium overall design... it was a good upgrade IMO. Outside of being decorative what did people really think the rings do? I don't see what's fake when they're not trying to be anything.
As a Samsung user, this is quite disheartening. I didn't expect such poor manufacturing (especially for 1300 bucks), just hoping it's the earlier batch of them. Good day to own an S24.
Edit (5/2/2025): I came to a realisation that Samsung was focusing on One UI 7, so much that it's literally the selling point of the S25. One UI 7 is so much more different than 6.1 in a good way, I'm currently running the beta on my S24. However, they got sloppier with the quality control and the engineering decisions for the Ultra. Really scary how much they will DOWNGRADE the newer series. Till then, I'll use my S24 till Samsung realises they messed up, and actually upgrades back the S-pen. S25 series just disappoints me.

True though. Get used to it Americans. In fact when the inevitable trade wars kick in we can all get used to much higher prices now.
@@a1white Spoiler alert: Korea isn't on the sanctions list, nor are India or Indonesia last I checked
Most of your home appliances and devices are completely safe. We don't need China crap or bootlegs from the bootleg version of our country either
We been paying higher prices for the last 4 years@@a1white
Not true though. If you expect the price to rise by only $200, you're probably in for a rude awakening. I'd expect at least a $500 increase.
Ahhhh, didn't Samsung say the s25 had a "New & improved" glass screen!? 😂 And they put those rings on the lens bc everyone bought protective rings from Amazon for the s24 last year.
6:56 wtf is that ?
easy to repair i guess 😂
seems like 300 dollar budget samsung phones 🤣🤣
@@whatitfeels.I literally have one and its more durable than this garbage
Basically every Samsung phone has automatic back cover ejection after 1½ years. My S20 and S22 magically opened by themselves when I removed the cover after 1½ years of usage
its called bad engineering ig
This video is being referenced in almost every news site dedicated to Android/Phones/Samsung. Good work! I hope Samsung uses it as an incentive to make better decisions in 2025. Let's wait for the s26.
"Daddy, Daddy" so sweet. I wish to see an episode where your kid does this to a toy phone with toy tools.
ok creep
It's such a weird ass comment to comment.
2:10 excuse me, the galaxy what now?!
🖖
Finger ring
try finger but hole
The fact that there are Samsung fans that trying so hard to support all the flaws and the downgrades of the new model with silly excuses and by saying that others do the the same is crazy...
Wait in order to tear down, you have to remove the camera rings?? Harder repair?
At this point, Jerry’s knives have scratched more Samsungs than a clumsy cat.
His name isn’t Jerry 😂 Do you know what Jerry Rig means?
Galaxy: S Pen not inserted
Jerry: Trust me bro it's in there 😂😂
His name is actually Zack not Jerry 😅
Having raised cameras rings with just enough space underneath for dust to collect is a dumb idea, especilly for those who don't use cases (like me!) and who want to keep their phones looking clean. Maybe picking a dark color would alleviate that problem.
That back cover popping out when he tried to remove the camera ring makes it look like a budget phone😂 what a downgrade
Camera rings😂😂😂 really they look like aftermarket cheap 1usd camera rings😂😂😂
Story of the whole s25 lineup
@tullo5564 Samsung have been lazy lately 😂
Samsung used to be unique, now they just look like those cheap iPhone clones
@pixels_per_inch I stop buying one the moment they remove the headphones jack. There is no excuse they can't put a headphones jack on their phones anymore.
Do you think the employees grit their teeth before clicking send when they know it’s going to appear on this channel
1:36 love the way he breaks s pen like a chocolate🤣🤣
It's NOT an investment, it's just a purchase.
You forgot to test the dip scratches on the fingerprint sensor
0:20 did it annoy anyone else that he didnt stick the razor in the little gap?
First touching a phone with knife while unboxing it is diabolical man😂
That made me cringe lol
The metal ring around the camera bumps could maybe be protection for putting the phone down? Camera bumps necessitate having a case and maybe adding a thing bit of metal that would hit the table before the glass does away with that? Just a guess
8:11 fair warning for anyone who buys this Dbrand case: just know that it might arrive in your hands the same time you choose to upgrade your next phone. Took forever to get my case.
If you're in the US, like me, dbrand will take time to arrive. If you live on the Westcoast like me, it will take even longer to arrive. Dbrand is located in Canada, that's why it takes longer. It took 2 weeks for me to get my case. But it also broke after a couple of weeks so never doing that again.
I pre-ordered one at the end of November and I got it this week. Yes, it takes a while, but considering the fact that I PRE-ordered it, and it had to be shipped to Europe, it didn't take as long as expected. There is (or was) a big demand for these cases, so ofc you have to wait a bit.
@@diagnostician001 2 weeks? I probably got mine 2-3 months later in the US. Sure Canada is a different country, but there are many companies that ship across borders all the time without this much delay. I don’t think they are fit to be in the case game and should stick to cutting out 3M stickers
Yea im not buyin another case from them... they take too damn long
@@diagnostician001 Yeah that brand sucks
3:52 less time than it took samsung to design s25 💀💀
He should’ve said took more time. Now that would’ve been funny!
@@lifethroughalens2000yes but guess he was sarcastic
6:18 (Those Fake Camera Rings) Kind Reminds Me of That Fake Engine Noise That Some EV's Try To Do 😅😅.
No one can roast Samsung in such a way😂😂
Test the camera quality after lens removal please
I was here so early I’m practically part of the production crew now.
As a loyal Samsung user, I'm disappointed with the recent trend of downgrading quality in their products. It's concerning to see that the back panel can detach so easily, even when simply attempting to remove the lenses. The issue of the back glue deteriorating within a month of purchase is also unacceptable. If Samsung doesn't address these quality control issues, I may have to consider switching to Apple 🍎.
That's the point I'm at. I am considering canceling my pre-order and buying my first apple.
I’m on the S8+ and waiting for the S25 Ultra to upgrade. Look like I’ll be waiting another year or go with the Pixel.
5:40 my man cured my short-sightedness. Thumbs up for that.
