Nick my man, why haven't you been doing more of these peripheral reviews? You are amazing at it. I want more!!!! As for the headset, I never thought I'd find a headset that would replace my Arctis Nova Pro wireless. These are so damn good. I'm working on my written review too.
Thanks for the review! Finally rotating pads for these types of headsets! This design that almost every brand ships nowadays, screams "clamping effing headache!" But with the rotating pads, it may fit better for most people. I do hope the plastic(?) parts where the adjustable metal headband slides in and out from is more durable this time. The original one had the very same breaking issues as on its G9xx predecessors. That part there should made from metal, especially for that price.
Can I use these with soundblaster software instead of the logitech software? I don't mind the logitech software, but I have a soundblaster x4 dac/amp, so I'd prefer to use that software.
Oh wow all of those voice eq presets look so unique and different 😂. These are MUCH more reasonably priced... might end up yolo-ing for pc/ps5, solid roundup!
Hello! Can i ask you something? Is 3.5mm connection works in bypass mode? I mean, does it ignore any headset's electronics and allows you to listen just like standard wired headphones with all work done by sound card/phone/amplifier?
could someone please explain why some "ordinary" bluetooth headsets makes it not recommended for gaming because of the latency: does it really make an huge difference?
I loved the pro x, I just got my third pair because I lose dongles. What is really keeping me from just going for it it the EQ. I use the advanced EQ daily. Is this an option for the PRO X 2?
I have both the X Pro and X2 Pro. I couldn’t handle the 30 hour battery on the last gen. The comfort and sound is way better on the new gen. Plus 50 hours battery life.
Nice video and great points as so many things are subjective. If not using the Pro X or the Pro X2, what other headset would be a viable option? I've had a couple steelseries and they have both been a letdown.
The razer blackshark v2 pro 2023 edition is great as well as the steelseries arctic nova pros, Ik you said that the other headsets have been a letdown but the audio on the nova pro is pretty crazy. Something like the audeze Maxwell’s are insanely good too
@@Statzer999 Blackshark V2 2023 user here, the hinges (right ones specifically) are really poor in quality and they fell apart after 6-7 months of careful use. There have been many, many reported cases of the same issue on the same exact hinge.
i use them with dolby atmos and they are incredible. You have to use usb audio device driver for headset instead of logitech driver though. Dolby atmos for headphones helped my Razer blackshark v2 pro 2023 and these g pro x2's so much! Highly recommend.
I would like to ask that if I have already set it up like downloaded the software and then turned blue voice on then set it to headphones, so it means that if I bluetooth on my phone then I would have blue voice already enabled?
Hi! There are people say that with the latest firmware update, you can now save the EQ setting to the headset which can work now on PS5. Could you confirm this? Thanks!
I ordered these then ordered the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro 2023 MIC standalone for $22. I usually like abit of bass on my headsets, so lets see if I can create the perfect gaming headset. Hoping this works :D (I used a Arctis Nova Pro wired and they broke less than one year at the hinge. On a Arctis 5 at the moment and they are shit only using them cause I got it cheap on marketplace) Never using Steelseries Again.
What I'm most interested in is the lag when you play games. Is the sound of a shot delayed when you connect with bluetooth? Is there any sound delay at all? I have a pair of Jabra 7 pro in ear bluetooth and the delay is terrible with them.
I cannot decide if going for this Logitech G Pro X2 Lightspeed or the corsair virtuoso XT. BTW these are the only two good options I could buy in my country
It's tough to go wireless when you're used to a frequency response range of 5 Hz - 40KHz and also have to accept a mic worse then your webcam. I guess I am stuck with a cable :P
since you have 4 headsets could you compare the static hiss of the X to the X2 when nothing is playing. I cant stand the hiss and if the X2 have no hiss i will buy them on the spot! that also might be why the volume seems to be a bit lower on the newer model. the wireless version of the X has the drivers locked at 100% gain with no way to adjust it, which creates a hiss/white noise when nothing is playing. lowering the gain on the X2 most likely fixed this issue. ive tried 4 wireless X's and all of them hiss, but i havent tried the X2 yet.
I have an issue with this headset when im in discord or ts my friends can hear every sound twice. Because the mic is recording the sound what comes out of the headset. I tried everything in g hub but nothing works. Has someone the same issue ? If anyone have an solution for this problem pls help me.
Quick question for anyone who uses this along with a mixer. Is there any way to control the volume on these without controlling the entire system volume? Like for instance, my arctis pro wireless set, the volume wheel just controlled the headset volume, didn't touch anything on the actual PC. Workaround to this or am I returning these?
The 3.5 mm input on the original Pro x wireless headset only output 80% of the volume being put in. Can you confirm or deny that this is the same? Of streamers and even just gamers use mixers nowadays and need a output from that mixer into their wireless transmitter
Thanks for the review! Awesome job! Just a question though, you mentioned that the pro x2 can be connected through bluetooth. My question is can you connect them to, let's say your phone, while they're connected to the pc? For example to watch youtube reels on your phone between league/valorant/r6siege games
@@GearSeekers so would that mean you cannot connect it to your phone and pc at the same time or does it only play audio for one of them? because I have that with a different pair of Headphones, they can be connected to phone and pc but only play audio from one of them depending on what I am playing

I have a question is the mic quality that bad? I have another studio mic I use but want a backup mic just in case that fails so what do you think about it as a backup microphone just in case
Does anyone knows if the Logitech G pro X2 is compatible with Dolby Atmos for Windows I'm unsure due to the G Hub software, and does it work well with that headset?
i got mine today i love em. the mic quality isn’t as bad because i got it set up through a go xlr mini but man i’m facing a problem right now with it picking up the game audio no matter what after i adjust the game volume, the mic threshold and noise gate.
The lack of Windows spatial audio (Sonic/Atmos/DTS:X) support is a dealbreaker. Very bizarre that a brand new $250 headset mean for PC gaming doesn't support that. Also the 5 slider EQ is not good enough. Need at least 10 sliders to be useful and a "Link EQ Sliders" button. Also the lack of wired USB audio support is disappointing. You can charge via USB but not get audio via USB. Wired USB audio would have higher bit depth/sample rate audio.
Windows Spatial Audio like you mentioned works on any "audio device" you just need to plugged it on the correct ports to work properly. For DTS:X and Dolby Atmos - works on Bluetooth whatever Bluetooth audio device you connect it with, it will work. For DTS:X Ultra: only works only in 3.5mm jack. In Windows, Home Theater spatial Audio needs an HDMI to activate - understanding how software activates is important, there's very limited to none spatial audio support to USB, USB ports doesn't work that way!
My opinion: they aren't that great for gaming. Here's why: The bass is great, I can easily hear footsteps, but when it comes to weapons firing at any distance, they sound terrible. I have tried tweaking the EQ a bit, but I've honestly never had to tweak an EQ for my old headset which still sounds 100 times better right out of the box.
