For starters thats a spiny lobster not a shrimp. Next to all the people saying "why don't you just stab its head?" while thats a valid concern you can't really kill a lobster like that. Lobsters have a distributed nervous system so they don't have a brain in the way that we do so even if you stab it in the head or decapitate it the lobster will still flop around well after it's been cut apart, which is why most of the time lobsters are dropped face first into boiling water, thats the fastest method I've heard of.
Also that isn't grunting or sounds of distress being made by the lobster, thats just the exoskeleton rubbing against itself when it jerks around, lobsters dont have a way to make noise or vocalize in any way.

The lobster isn’t experiencing anymore brutality than it would being devoured by a natural predator. If people wanna focus on unnecessary brutality in nature, look up what big otters do to baby seals.

I'm not sure if you know this but lobsters do poison their meat once they die and they do it fast. That's why boiling alive or cutting tail off while alive is important. Do the research. Lobster poisoning is real and can kill you. Not everything in life is sunshine and rainbows. Life is tough and harsh, wear a helmet.

    • @bogdankarnaukhov95
      @bogdankarnaukhov95 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

Geez, this seems so inhumane.. Causing a creature this much pain is something I wish we’d agree should be illegal. It’s one thing to kill an animal for food, it’s another to cut it in half while it’s alive and leave it screaming on a table while you clean it.. If it’s conscious, it suffered a fate worse than any of us will ever be able to comprehend..
Specifically, I’m recalling a time in history when humans would cut up dogs, as they screamed in agony, humans believing the wailing was the same as the wailing a broken machine makes.. Some people still do this, but for different reasons.. Some people also used to believe humans of certain races were mindless, and could be mistreated because their suffering was less worthy of consideration..

Let's not pretend that this person couldn't just as easily have put his knife into its head before butchering it. It doesn't take more than a couple seconds and saves the animal from a world of pain.
And for all the psychopaths out there, yes... They feel pain like any animal on this planet. It's a survival mechanism that is common across almost all species, it helps us to tell a good thing from a bad thing.

As a chef, I see SO many things wrong here! An animal is giving up a life to provide nourishment. This man has no respect for it!
Can’t even be bothered to put on clean, rip free gloves before absolutely 100% messing up the cuts of lobster tail. Poor lobster deserved better than this!

sometimes i dream of some superior beings, LoL, that cut people open while being alive just to give them the same cruelty that some people give to animals....

@@UFO339 Precisely why he quickly finished with you before starting to "Prepare" you is that it is said Human, why did he not make you suffer unnecessarily
if you are going to kill something to eat it, ok, but you have the options of "Make it suffer all the time that you are going to be dismembering it until it dies by itself" or "Kill it quickly and easily before you start cutting it" so that if the animal is in real pain (it's still up for debate but it's clear that it was) at least their last moments do not become hell

So, was the entire top portion wasted & used only for presentation?? Yes, in America many practice - Waste Not - Want Not. Loaf of bread going stale? Cut in cubes & put in oven @170 about 3 hours & vacuum seal. U have bread for stuffing. Crumbs from cubing same - same process & put & mason jar & vacuum seal. U have plain breading that u can add spices to many dishes from meatballs & meatloaf to fried chicken etc. Potatoes starting to go bad? Peel, cut away anything questionable & blanch, flash freeze & either put in freezer bag or vacuum bag. It will take half the time to make potatoes.

That's too bad that he didn't kill it immediately. Seeing it try to resist the knife in the back was slightly heartbreaking. Why can't people just end the animal quickly and then do all the cutting after? I mean, in China they literally cook dogs alive so I shouldn't be surprised at other country's inability to humanly kill an animal for food.

Invertebrate anatomy is different from our own. They don’t have a brain like us, rather, it is distributed throughout there body. This is actually the most humane way to dispatch it. Any movement after the fact is a reflex.

The only part that I disagree in this video is how the clerk basically cut the body apart from its head but not kill it right at the scene beforehand.
This has nothing to do with the one who's filming this. I respect how the locals prepare the food, but I disagree with the method they use.
You can hear a lot of painful sounds from it when it has its body separated from it. Yes, I did search it up, they do make sound like this.

Only reasoning i see as to why they didn't stab it thru the head is for the asthetic plating to show it was a fresh kill. While I think its cool I do agree on humanely killing it too. Only other way I could think of is putting it in an ice bath to put it to sleep then go to work.
