This is more than common, it's a daily occurrence on every build. Nothing will split or break.

Никогда так не делайте. При таком креплении саморезы будут испытывать постоянную нагрузку на срез и в итоге лопнут. Да и вообще каленый саморез не для дерева, используйте гвозди.
Ну да ,для дерева калёные саморезы не подойдут,а вот для травы самый раз,ну или для кирпича.
@@xyi-vam каленые саморезы хороши для монтажа легких конструкций и отделочных материалов внутри помещений, причем если надо закрепить на дереве другой материал, металл, гкл, гвл и т.д. Использовать их в наружных силовых и несущих конструкциях верх глупости.

Ну, справедливости ради, каленый там только в прихвате, временный, два фиксирующих - шурупы. Но гвоздь я бы добавил, крепить с натяжкой на шурупы, ну такое...
Приблизительно так я собирао шкаф производства г. Пенза модель ШК603М! Мои родители за всю жизнь ни разу не сквернословили! Со сборкой мебели и наполнением от Икеа не было проблем!
Но тут я вспомнил детство и юность! У меня выросло несколько астральных рук, ног, крылев и мощных хвостов! Так-то я даже Шкафы Бэста от икеи усовершенствовал в части крепежа к стене! Но тут люди лет 50 лепят унылый товар, ни инструкций, ни сверловки, ни фрезовки! Как врагам! 😂😂😂 Я потом напишу писульку, этим пенсюкам пензюкам! 😂😂😂

@@emm6155 the videos keep popping up. I don't look for them. The issue with drywall screws is that they are thin, snap easily, not structural fixture and must not be used in construction apart from plasterboard/drywall installation. I've seen big structural failures where people used drywall screws for fastening timbers, plywood, even roof battens and tiles. Drywall screws only for drywall. This guy has good ideas but bad screws

Если будет сухо, то норм... Чёрные (оксидированные) саморезы не = говно.
Чёрные, белые, жёлтые саморезы делаются из одной стали..Цвет-- это развод для тебе подобных)))

Both boards are turned the wrong way. If you look at the end grain, they should be facing the other way toward the blocks
i realized the other issues with this (tension in the wood, potentially splitting it by drilling into the end grain, etc) but i was not aware that wood had a front and back side to the grain longways. if you have the time could you explain why that is? i love learning.
i think they are building temporary framing. by the gloves it could be masonry. you are right. but i don’t think they care

@keithreckord4788 theyre just phosphate covered wood screws. Drywall screws come in 1 1/4 inch for 1/2and 5/ 8th drywall. and 1 5/8, and 2 inch screws are for double layer half and 5/8th, respectively. Anything larger is just a phoshate covered wood screw

Dont screw into end wood. Put them in at an angle.
Always predrill the hole a size smaller than the screw so the wood doesn't split when screwing in the screw

Old masters 50 years ago connected wooden structures without self-tapping screws using so-called “Dowel joints”.

Два навеса собраны на 'каленых шурупах',черных саморезах.
За 6 и 5 лет ничего нигде не лопнуло,не повело и не перекосило- зимой на них снеговые нагрузки.
Ещё раньше на чорных саморезах была собрана угловая полка под тяжёлый телевизор,и всё в порядке,пока его не заменили на панель.
Вообще много их было закручено- за всю жизнь их лопнувших припомню штук 5,длинные без сверления.Проблем не создало.
....может,вы все на них дубовые шпалы собираете?...

Uh. Also, don’t drive a screw directly into the end grain. It’ll hold for now, but thermal expansion and humidity will eventually split the grain around the fastener.

Люди, человеки 😏, эти шурупы только для лёгких внутренних отделочных работ, где нет сырости😊, для наружных работ и серьёзных нагрузок этого делать нельзя 🤔, ваш дом через год, два, весь начнёт разваливается, и этих роликов, и подобных тысячи в интернете, это очень плохой вариант и плохой пример для подрожания😊.
Где тут серьезные нагрузки? Да и откуда вода в вентфасаде (насколько я понимаю)?
Саморазрушение не держит по направлению волокон дерева, надо либо шпонку напротив самореза..
Я как специалист с 50 летним стажем, говорю что это все туфта.

Doesn't even matter about the interior or exterior. It's the fact that it has no structural integrity
@isaacmai7961 but it's not just a demo. Plus, even if it was a demo, he could take the screws out and save them for later. And people on the internet will take things as they see them. So, if they see he used those screws, then they will use those screws as well.
@@Nameentered Not really bro. The screws will be worn in some way, even just slightly, by screwing and unscrewing them. And if the people on the internet don’t know how to do this, I will also bet that they couldn’t differentiate between different types of screws anyways.
The only drywall screw that was used was the one that he put in for leverage and took out. The other two are screws for structural purpose.

Но гвозди прочнее, чем винты. Есть конечно массивные винты не уступающие по прочности гвоздям.Все нужно смотреть на месте. Если временное сооружение, то на шурупах конечно лучше, открутил их без проблем, а с гвоздями нужно потрудиться. Короче, гвозди забывать нельзя, они твои лучшие друзья, шурупы прикалены и могут отломиться, а гвоздь никогда.
Это нужно помнить всегда.
Ничего подобного.гвозди по мере высыхания дерева будут гулять.а тут все намертво.еще и подтянуть можно

Never screw or nail into end grain of timber
Lol have you ever seen walls being framed. Every stud in your house is nailed through the plate into the end grain. Top plate on fences nailed into end grain on posts. Rim board of your house nailed into end grain of joists. Every engineered plan I've ever worked off shows some type of joint connection where you will be fastening into end grain.

Мало вероятно, что треснет. Древесина дуб достаточно прочная. Жалко что так ее используют. Тут и сосной бы обошлись...
Длиной саморезов можно решить конечно, но чтобы не напрягать древесину, я бы МШУ, 125 мм, с лепестковым кругом, потом вибро шлиф машинкой. Наверно вывел бы

The issue is at the screw you used to pray against, you could have just done an angled screw from the back piece into the piece closest to you. and accomplished the same thing but better and stronger AND faster. lol
