10hrs on New Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Suites | A330-900 neo

- Today i'm taking the very first flight on Virgin Atlantic's new Upper Class suites over to Tampa, Florida. I'll give you a full and comprehensive review of what it's like to fly on their brand new aircraft, the Airbus A330-900 neo. Delivered just a matter of days ago, join me onboard their most luxurious Business Class product. Or well... that's if you don't include the new retreat suite which is available only in the first row of the aircraft... perhaps a toe in the water for a Virgin Atlantic First Class? It's certainly an interesting proposition.
We'll also take a look at The Loft which is a unique product in itself, providing seating for 4 and space for 8 in a lounge like area, just behind Business Class.
I'd like to thank Virgin Atlantic for inviting me along on this special inaugural press flight. As always though my review is my honest reflection of what I think to the experience.

The seats are definitely a huge upgrade from the miserable coffin like seats facing the aisle. I avoided Virgin because of them. That "lounge" looks like wasted space on the aircraft.
Normally that would be a galley at most, but never seats since there are doors there
The height of the seating in the ‘lounge’ is a poor design concept meant to bring you more in line with the crew, whereas in reality means your legs are dangling off the floor. Not quite sure which genius signed this off ✅ 🤷🏻♂️
@@danvalentine2997 It seems they wanted something close to bar stools but that could have seatbelts. The lounges are good ideas for those 12+ hrs flights where you want to encourage passengers to walk to prevent leg blood clots plus having a space for passengers that don't want to sleep and want to chat a bit, but they need more comfortable chairs
Ive been watching a few airline review channels. I got to say out of the three I've watched you're the best current. One of the other guys was so entitled and his reviews were mainly complaining about how the stewardess weren't beckoning at his every call. He would've trashed the entire review and said it was terrible if the thought of him making his own bed was there. You paid attention and did it yourself and didnt let it affect your video at all.

My family and I just took a round trip flight from Tampa to Heathrow on the A330-900 in economy plus seats and it was the best fight we've ever taken! Those Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines are SO QUITE and smooth!!! And the flight crew was amazing! Syncing the very large entertainment screen to my Airpods via Bluetooth was a breeze! We will defiantly book again!! Way to go Virgin Atlantic!!!! BTW, they have some exclusive podcasts to listen too as well. I love the bit about Abby Road Studio!!

My family and I flew from Gatwick to Tampa and it was amazing we love going back to Florida, and it was amazing considering we were meant to go two years ago

The new A330-900's certainly do look like really good aircraft - I'd expect this London - Tampa route to be quite popular specially during peak tourist season!
Tampa is the airport with the highest potential for European airline companies among all the US.
I am italian and I used to spend my vacations in Tampa bay area, I remember fully booked Lufthansa flight from TPA-FRA during summer.

Great video as always. I’m flying to London from LA next month and my original flight was a 787-7 with the old herringbone style seats. I switch to a more expensive itinerary at no additional cost that is an A350 with the nicer and new seats. Can’t wait, it’s my first business class flight.

I just booked my flight from NY to Heathrow and then afterwards I found out its their 787-9 planes they are so outdated, is there anyway i can change it into their new planes ?

I love the virgin lounges. Good memories of some wonderful trips. However, last time I flew virgin the toilets were absolutely filthy.

Be interested to hear your view on BA F verses this new VS upper on this style of upper.. VS have really pushed the boat out with this new seat, however, the LOFT looks a total waste of time, unlike the QATAR business equivalent bar area.

I see.. it’s the same design that United used for the Polaris cabin. Although on UA the odd number rows are the more private window seats, looks like on Virgin it’s the the even rows.. looks like virgin stepped it up.

Looking at it more closely it reminds me of a classier version of the Delta One suites
Well DL does own a majority of them so probably helped negotiate for them. And agreed classier. Delta one just feels a bit cheap and plastic. Not top notch quality materials. That was a cost saving choice.

Thank you. The intention is to split out some of the more focused aviation content. I havent reviewed Business Class on the main channel in close to a year, so this will be the home of Business Class and behind the scenes content (i've filmed a video on some 777 cargo planes too)

I would have found that annoying.
Personally Im a little superstitious so I'd be a little freaked out by a cover from a band that whose members died in a plane crash.
what is included on the flight? Lots of nice stuff on the menus in the lounge and onboard but how much of it is included in the price?
All food and drinks are complimentary, even in economy. The only extra charge is for wifi

Love your vids! I have noticed that the latest videos have been all over-edited and voice over style format. I much prefer the older ones of just you speaking live as things occur. These newer ones feel like a “short”story version. Too clean, and polished and not as interesting to me. Sorry if I offend, but honest feedback. 😅
No offence taken, I edit videos to optimise performance and this is what I’ve found works best for the overall audience, new and old

Tampa airport is almost as close to WDW as Orlando International, so this is a very viable alternate airport (MUCH better than Sanford!)
Not even close. Few use Sanford. Vast majority use MCO which is a 20 minute drive to WDW. You can also get transit on a bus for $16.00 if you don't need a car. TPA is a good 1.5 -2 hour drive and you get caught up in all the I-4 traffic and getting out of the Tampa area.
