Little trick for fishing quests, if you drop the quest fish, you can catch more of them. Meaning you can get a ton of all the quest fish and never have to go seek them out again
When playing multiplayer, me and my friend figured this trick out. We'd send one of us to fish for the quest, drop it, and then fish for each other's quest item so we could double our daily turn-ins for fishing quests without both of us manually fishing for the quests. Or if we did both fish for the quest, if one of us got 2 before the other found theirs we could end the fishing faster.
I always did three at a time. One in the trash slot and one picked up in your inventory and you can pick up the third. Usually that's about the right number anyway. Easy to get in one day and you can work out of two or even one chest for it all.
Just finished the video and saw this comment and went back up to check, this dude only has 200 subs and this video only has 2k views rn my goodness, hopefully this video blows up 🙏
Great video! Fun miserable fact, you can avoid using the pwn hammer to spawn the mech bosses by covering your world in chests except for a small region around an exposed alter and force a meteorite to land on the alter destroying it. Sounds fine until you remember the only way to get the chests is to craft them... using bamboo. Keep up the great content!
its not as bad as it may seem, as chest cover a decent area, and meteors cant spawn in the middle of the world. it works out to around 12 chests needed if done optimally on a small world (assuming my maths is correct). each chest can also be replaced with an npc if you want to reduce it further, and you don't need to cover the dungeon
I appreciate your commitment to the bit. Throwing away pickaxe/axe, refusing to use naturally spawning furnaces, spending a bunch of in-game days just collecting bugs.
This was so impressive, I usually watch challenges like this for Minecraft where all that matters is patience and game knowledge, but you are CRACKED at these boss fights! Great video!
This challenge was never attempted before simply because so many hate fishing in terraria (I think it’s not that bad) however, keep up the good work, I was pretty invested in this video overall and I’m claiming my small channel bragging rights later on, “I was here before it was cool”
Very well play through, stay true to the title. I often got disappointed with "can you beat... with only..." then 3 seconds in they start using tools, crafting armor. Keep it up. Edit : by the time im done watching this video his sub went from 900 to over 1k. That's a really good sight.
I mean since the shimmer exists you have a lot of flexibility, you can get a lot of potion ingredients including glass and sand, but you still can’t get any wood
@@Mobo___ he goes through the trouble to not even get simple items through other means than fishing. Shimmer that would skip most of these grinds is obviously not allowed in his rule set. The items gained from shimmering wouldn’t be obtained by fishing, which would defeat the purpose of his run.
The quality is amazing, your editing style is on point, commentary is entertaining but not overexadurated to put it short MAN I LOOOVE this vid so much, wish You all the best and cant wait for more ^^
Great video. I’m just “finishing up” my playthrough on master, only 333hp too. I just beat Duke Fishron pre-mech so the playthrough is pretty much over. I’ve collected all of the fishing rods, quest fish, every possible item obtainable from fishing quests, (with the exception of bottomless honey bucket and shimmer bucket), and every single weapon/accessory and crate available. I am now working on collecting all of the fish in the game. Terrasvr says I’ve done 120+ quests. 36 hours
TDLR: keybind exists for healing potions With healing potions in your hotbar the whole run, I thought I'd let you know, there is a keybind for consuming the best healing potion in your inventory. "H" by default. There's one for mana potions too. Great job on this playthrough too! Love the commitment
I spent the first 15 minutes of hardmode, wondering why you weren't using my favorite weapon in the game, the Crystal Serpent, obtainable by fishing in the Hallow, only to realize that there is no way to obtain fallen stars to create mana crystals, rendering the weapon essentially useless. Fantastic video and a great watch!
This is great, like actually. It reminds me of a challenge run I had a couple months ago. A friend and I played a shimmerblock challenge together and we only started with 8 or so ice bricks and a puddle of shimmer. We had to fish for maybe 30 hours of our 46 hour run and this is just pretty fun to watch seeing someone else grind (for a fun little challenge) after our grueling playthrough
Hey Frostburn. Great vid, but I'd like to mention something. Albeit rarely, Lihzahrd power cells drop from the flying snakes and Lihzahrds themselves. When combined with the hoik into the temple, the challenge is actually possible with just fishing!
I did this before with slightly different rules but gave up at Moon Lord because i would wait for hours upon hours for it to rain but it just wouldnt. Amazing video man
A very fun mod is the Unusacies' Battle Rods, which has its own fishing rods that'll hook into enemies and has an entire class dedicated to it (with armors and accesories). I liked the mod a lot, and did a full playthrough with the mod a while back. Very enjoyable run. Might be a fun idea for a follow-up!
Great video! I think you could have allowed pillar fragments and the ancient manipulator solely for moon lord boss spawners, since it would just be a time saver. You already have to kill the cultist and the pillars each go, and as long as you didn't use any fragment weapons like a Daybreak or smth it would just serve as an effective simulacrum of all the work, getting more mileage out of each event. I get the perspective that it's using drops, but really it's more of a tool along the lines of "I did this two or three times already, I've proven I can do it and have done it multiple times, so these items (which act like that whole song and dance, earned from that said song and dance) are a placeholder for what is effectively just wasted time."
this video was great! some criticism I want to give is to brighten the screen when u fight at night, it’s hard to see the dreadnautalis fight among others. anyways, keep it up :)

BRO! I actually did a run similar to yours a couple months ago To be honest, I didn't want to waste my time fishing for hours on end, I didn't see the appeal in that, so instead of only fishing, it was only fishing gear. That means I was only allowed to use weapons and tools, armor, and accessories obtained directly from fishing. I also allowed myself a couple of exceptions to expedite the experience The very first thing I did entering hard mode was containing the corruption and the hallow because I was going to spend a lot of time fighting Duke fishron for his drops. My final loadout was some wonky frog leg items with fishron wings, I could reach the moon in one go lmao Also, love your vid, wish you had more stuff to show us 👀
A little harpy told me that if you gain access to the dungeon and create a pool or find one of those water traps (in the dungeon), you can get dungeon crates which are the same as the dungeon chests meaning you can use the muramasa, blue moon, and magic missile (magic missile is not the best weapon for this run because of the limited mana, unless there is a way of obtaining fallen stars , mana crystals, and/or any mage gear that increases mana, including modified accessories). Although I do think you need gold keys to open them.
Please ReLogic add a new Jungle Temple Fishing Pool to get the Power Cell🗣️😭 Nice vid dude, your voice feels oddly familiar but I've never watched you before
It's worth noting that if you allow yourself to use the Shimmer, you _can_ get stone by repeatedly shimmering ores, meaning it'd be possible to make a furnace.

Great video, pacing's good, but I think using less youtube audio library music would help make them stand out more, video game soundtracks are pretty much always free to use, remixes often are and there are some great musicians out there who just ask for credit, that could hugely help your videos I think!
