Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazingly beautiful and wonderful pieces of hidden paper clips. I absolutely love ❤❤❤❤❤ each and every one of them. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤❤
Those paperclips are so neat! I do have so many embossing powders that have been sitting in my craft space. I love the different ways you used them. They turned out great against the watercolor paper. That purple with the hints of black look perfect!! tfs
Very cool! I love embossing just pointlessly shining things up lol. There’s something magical about it even though i know it’s just melting ground plastic. I believe that the finer ground is for more detailed images and the larger is good for less detailed. Also for anyone who doesn’t have an embossing pad or fluid, you can use anything including water if you’re quick enough. I use vegetable glycerin on an old stamp pad and it works perfectly.
What great tips! Thank you! I like the shine too-embossing powder gives my paper beads that extra bling! I’m pretty happy with these clips-they can be anything from grunge to pastels -it’s all about the color choices!
Utterly unique as always Ms. Peg -- I'm not an art journaler but I'm *always* inspired by what you come up with -- I for sure have embossing powders -- & Magicals -- I've never used and I will try this in a different configuration for the kind of stuff I do -- *thanks* as always for sharing your adventures
Thank you so much! I'm glad I could inspire you to utilize those supplies that you've never used. As I look around my shop - I need to do more of just that :-)
Oh no! I got interrupted when I was watching this video and just today realized I hadn't finished it. Sorry about that. Perfect timing though. I am participating in the Junk Journal January challenge. In a couple of days, the prompt is embossing. One of these fabulous paper clips will be perfect. I made an embossed frame using an embossing folder, but I will want to figure a way to include an embossed paper clip. I am sorry to see you haven't posted for a while. I hope you are all well. I hope you were able to enjoy the holidays and had a very happy New Year. God bless you! 🙏🥰
Thank you! All is well here just a bit overwhelmed with the retirement, holidays and such! Finally got a day in my studio today!! Hope you enjoy that Jan challenge!
That’s exactly why I bought them and, like you, never used them! I’m making an effort to “use what I have”. I’m retiring Jan 3, I need to adapt to a bit more frugality😂!
Wow, are you me or am I you? LOL I have the same items at my house that I have never used plus a bunch of glitter. Thank you, I haven’t watched your video thru yet but I wanted to quickly comment. Back to your video now!!!!❤
Too funny!? I think a lot of us by things for a special project we want to do and then use a little or never get to, or forget what the special project was🤦🏻♀️
I don't have "real" colors but i have a couple variations of white and clear. I may have pink. I haven't looked for a long time. And i think i've used some once in 2 or3 years. I inherited from my daughter-in-law when the downsized into an apartment while building a house. Now, i may just have to get some colors, and maybe some - is it mica powders? !! One question: do you adhere the embellishment such that it is totally above the page when attached or does the paperclip go all the way onto the page? Does that make sense? I made paperclips with the paperclip on a folded piece of paper then put another "top" on the inner paper. They turned out really wonky. I haven't tried them with the paperclip between two pieces and glued in. Just wondering how far they stick up over/outside the page. Live the colors and the shiny finish. I'm a sucker for shiny! ❤❤❤
They stock up over the page! The embossed part on the finished clip is only about 1/2 -1”! The pigment powders are called magicals. I would paint and stamp your water color paper for the “color” and use your clear embossing powder for the shine! These are fun and quick little embellishments to make! I think you will enjoy!
Very cool! You have inspired me to get my powders out.
Thank you so much! I’m happy you're inspired! I love using what I have on hand! They can be great for grunge!!!

What a wonderful way to use ordinary supplies in a magical way. You always inspire me. Fabulous project.
Thank you Christy! I appreciate you!
I’ve never thought to do this. Great way to utilise unused embossing powder.
That’s what I thought too!! They are super easy and look complicated!!

Thank you! Good to hear from you! I, too, have a stash of embossing powders I never use!
Love these ❤ Just what I needed for my grungy journals. Off to make some right now!

I purchased those magicals too because I saw a TH-camr use them years ago, but once I got them, I never used them. This inspires me to get them out!

Fabulous idea! I can't wait to make some!! TFS
Glad you liked them! Great project for when you don’t have a lot of time!
Nice video, I use lots of embossing powders especially in my card making, love them.
I had a ton of them but hadn’t used them for awhile. I keep rearranging my studio and uncovering items I forgot I had!
Thank you x that looks so much fun x
You’re welcome 😊 it really is a fun project!

Great idea!
Glad you think so! Hope you give it a try!
I bet you could make those with Brusho
I think you are right! I don’t own any brush but I think it may be similar!
