Lovely card. A win on so many levels. Great tutorial for mixed media, layering, use of a prompt, complimentary colors, If you also gesso the the lined side of the card, I don’t think you would have to worry about bleed through.💜🐞

I have been wanting to include more mixed media in my journals but hesitant because I don’t want to mess up in a journal. This seems like a great way to try things out. If I ruin something I’m not out a part of a journal.
Yes! You can also just make an art journal out of a $1 composition notebook or even a magazine and gesso the pages for a clean art surface. On my list this month of things to create. Happy art-ing 😀
This turned out so beautiful. I actually have a stack of index cards, I might have to try this. I wonder if gluing 2 cards together before starting with the decorating would make the card more stable?

Great tip! I don’t believe I have enough to do that and I want to use them up but I’ll keep that in mind for another project. This are fairly thin.
