2.8L is kind of a small displacement for a twin turbo setup is it not? Unless it's at the max bore for the block, you would think they would have gone for atleast 3000cc
Its originally a 2.6L so its stroked to 2.8L. You can get kits for 3.0 that are popular for drag builds but i believe that it messes with power delivery and max rpm the higher you go, so it sounds like a good balance between power and delivering that power for a track car
@@Mxkuh if im not wrong it was gt racing regulations that required certain displacement, and they had to sell a certain number of homoligation cars (skyline, supra, etc) to run in the race (i could be off here its been a while simce i read about this)
It's 2.8L and R34 Z-Tune has RB26DETT Z1/Z2 which is another bored and stroked RB26.RB28 is an engine for R33 Skyline 280 Type-MR which was based on RB25DET.
I mean why not mod it to make it look cooler and more of your own style. At the end of day its just a car. Also he didnt mod too much to point where its ruined. Most of the car still oem 400r nismo. He just changed wheels, suspension, and maybe added few engine parts. Looks better in my opinion, if this car sits most of the time then why not just go for the looks.
@@brink666 based off this information from the video the 400r has a 0-60 time of 4 sec and a 1st gen viper has a 4.3 and the 1/4 mile for a STOCK r33 was 12.7-12.9 and for the viper a time of 12.6-12.7 and on circuit (Tsukuba circuit) the STOCK r33 has a time of 1:05 and the viper time of 1:07. But it doesn’t rlly matter it’s whatever wins ur heart. (the times could vary but it doesn’t rlly matter these are the best times from both cars that I found)

the words 400 are placed on the car in to many different places. Over kill. 😂
Gee i wonder if this car is a 400R?
😂that's what I was thinking 🤔... I wish I could ask the guy or girl if they used enough emblems telling people it's a 400r

@@NathanJorgen just asking because for european inline six's, 2.8 is pretty average for displacement. S54's for example run at 3.2L
Max bore is 3.6L
Like the Supra

Isn't a 2.7L for 400R.
And R34 has the RB28?

If that's a real one, why would he mod it? Due to its exclusivity, that will decrease its value.
Not modded this OEM+
Buddy, its not modded. That's the 400r
@@kenny_jayyyyit might be the stance is a lot lower than how it should be and the rear light housing is carbon not painted
@@kenny_jayyyya stock 400R doesn't sit this low
