you should add a "make ur own dragon" type page at the end of the book, would be fun and interesting to see everyones creative work inspired from yours
hearing about the tail makes me think of the potential of a thundermaw rat king. considering how one theory for rat king formation is the grasping reflex of the tail.
I gotta admit I’m absolutely enamoured with this series, and the more I learn about this world my desire for further details only grows. Of particular note I love the shear diversity of body plans we see in dragons, yet they all retain common features that makes them all feel like they belong to the same group of organisms that share common ancestry
Me cap’n say he lost his leg from one of these “thundermaws”, (we call em barnacle birds). As soon as he lost his leg one O’ these flame teeth serpents came outa no where and dragged the poor thing to the depths.
I really wish a dragon hunting game could be made with your setting, your dragons are some of the very best I've ever seen and a game with them would finally give monster hunter a bit of healthy competition, this might be my favourite dragon so far, it's between this and that razor sharp dragon
God, this dragon is so cool. I've always loved thunder dragons, and the Thundermaw is a perfect electric dragon. I really liked the veilwright because it was a hervibore and much less agressive than your typical dragon, but seeing a long living, agressive, terrifying dragon is also cool. Its long lifespan makes me think about how many legendary dragons this species must have. A family that tried to take one down for generations, one bigger than the rest that becomes a myth and is feared even after its death. it just has too much potential. Also, altough they don't live in the same region of the world, I would love to see a fight between a Thundermaw and a Kinsbane.
I love it when indie creators make some story or story project and actually puts some depth into the world itself whether it may be the people, animals, culture or even the magic system its incredible and because of it feels more real, presenting these fictional things and making it feel like an actual culture, place, ecosystem or anything i just love it and seeing it is just amazing to me
Are you gonna publish the dragon slayer codex as a book? If yes I’m gonna buy it. P.s I also wanted to know who is the strongest dragon in your series?
Thank you so much for all the amazing content. Can’t wait to see what the next egg will be. I always love you expand on this world. It’s so cool and the dragon design designs are very unique. 10 out of 10 would adventure to this land
My interest has been peaked. Considering you’ve mention humans living underground multiple times, did they originally evolve in a subterranean environment in this world? If not I’m curious where they got their start. An open Savannah biome like our world seem far more dangerous when the planets ruled by such fearsome aerial predators. Also what do the Thundermaws eggs look like? In my head I’m picturing craggy black or grey eggs to blend into the cavern rock, or a slick black appearance almost like oil over water. Sorry about all the questions, but a darker more realistic setting like this really gets my brain going 😅
Really cool dragon! Although I’m surprised that for such a long reproductive rate the parents wouldn’t be more protective of their young. Definitely an easy weakness for humans to exploit
Maybe make a dragon that uses metal as armor, or some other kind of material. I’m thinking of the armor wing from HTTYD or something similar. It’s weak without its armor but when it builds its suit it is almost impossible to defeat.
Hey love the content and by some miracle this ends up becoming an indie game in the future (just sayin monster hunter tri only had 18 monsters) I would put my life into this game. I could 100% see a mix between monster hunter and the Witcher gameplay. But also your ecology is genuinely amazing to me and this is so inspiring for my own worldbuilding
I like semi-aquatics, and this one uses its electric organ to full effect. My favorite dragon is the sideblinder, or I believe that is what it was called
I love this beast a lot, damn is it fascinating to observe. I have made thunder dragons of my own but they are far more like weasels than electric eels, mostly cause I envision them using their electrical energy to boost muscle activity in order to make up for the energy demands required by such beasts. Doesn’t help that their body is highly insulated (to protect from its own electricity and that of others) meaning that when it discharges, it releases highly concentrated bolts of ionised air. With saliva or other body fluids including toxins they collect from their meals to create noxious clouds to stun and weaken small prey or hinder larger prey. Though they are a whole subfamily compared to the tassled (many are semi-aquatic and in the water act like electric eels due to their long bodies and tails making it harder for them to swim fast)
You should do stories perhaps in one a slayer hasta tangle with a dragon it hasn’t fought before or you could do a story like that of big Al where we follow a particular dragons life from egg to adult
Hmm… so this is an animal that is dense it is negatively buoyant in water, but it can fly? I don't think theres any way to make that physically plausible short of mile-wide wings. I understand that you have to bend physics a bit in general to get dragons in the air, but at least with most you can add hypothetical air sacs, hollow bones, and massive wingspans and flight muscles. Here, you only get the last one, and i dont think it’s going to be enough. I think you would be better making the Thundermaw flightless, which also allows you to give it wings specifically adapted for swimming, an idea I've always liked. I really enjoy this dragon design and the lore youve crafted to accompany it - it really is next-level worldbuilding. Hopefully my two cents (if you ever read it) provides constructive feedback on the great work youve done. Cheers!
Question: the swallow-tailed fishbird? Did you take reference from the Gannetwhale seen in The Future Is Wild? Because it looks like a redesign of that.
In a prolonged fight- Kinsbane. In a quick encounter, Hullbreaker. Those punches really work against the armor of a Kinsbane as well- in a way talons or fire doesn’t!
Will you be covering any if the non-dragon creatures in your world, or would they only be mentioned when relevant to a given dragon like you've done previously?
How do they shoot out bolts of electricity? I get how they can make discharges in the water or shocks with body contact on the land. But how can they shoot it? Do they have to be partially submerged? Or do they have to have their body’s wet enough or something.
This is just speculation as he doesn’t say in the video but it’s possible it could shoot out a jet of water that it then charges with electricity from its organs
Banish Thunder Dragon Dark via any vard effects, Thunder Dragon Dark effect will triggers to search Thunder Dragon Hawk. Active Thunder Dragon Hawk effect from hand, discard itself to special summon the Banished Thunder Dragon Dark, then Special summon the Thunder Dragon Collosus from the extra deck by tributing the Thunder Dragon Dark. Oh wait, wrong thunder dragons.
I love how he doesn’t even dare to give a length and just labels the tail as “l o n g”
Bro, I love this project so much. It’s always hype when a new video comes out
Hell yeah thank you!
Every time I see a new video I always almost scream out loud
you should add a "make ur own dragon" type page at the end of the book, would be fun and interesting to see everyones creative work inspired from yours
I like how you can HEAR the air quotes in "Heroic"
I simply cannot wait for more dragons
Soon!

Thanks dude! The most fun part is maintaining a unique visual identity for each species while keeping them anatomically bound to their ancestry
I actually enjoy you show us how to defeat the dragon instead of it not being shown and depicted. The image really helps convey it.
Haha I’m glad! It’s a quick doodle but I think it’s better than nothing at all
I really like the design of this one
I literally can't wait for the Ice Puncher ... I think that's what it's called
Hullbreaker ;)
the best content on youtube
Babe wake up, new species profile just dropped
I know right

Glad you like it!! I hope to keep providing
I knew I struck a Gold mine when I found your book and channel, great content man!!
As always my love of dragons from the early 2000 i back again , it has the same aura
I’m a sucker for em too
Are you gonna publish the dragon slayer codex as a book? If yes I’m gonna buy it.
P.s I also wanted to know who is the strongest dragon in your series?
I haven’t been watching these in order so this is the first dragon I’ve seen to actually fly lol

YEAH NEW UPLOAD FANTASTIC! Thanks Sawyer!
Of course!!

Their biggest Achilles heel!, or the weak link in their armor, like Smaug’s missing scale.

this does not make me want to hunt this dragon, it makes me want to get as far away from it as possible.

that seems cool as fuck
Way too under appreciated, this is awesome man.
By far my favorite dragon of the codex so happy to see it
Curious Archive brought me here
Love that guy

Will you make a video explaning the different regions of this world?
Yes
Man I wish you could’ve been a part of the live action how to train your dragon movie that’s coming out soon
Dream job tbh
So a slightly less dangerous hippo dragon
great uniqe take on lightning/tunder dragons, i really expected it to be hosted in a desert like usual lol
Thanks dude! I always wondered why lightning based dragons wouldn’t be found more around water- seems their strong suit!
Can you do the armorshewr next? I would love it since the crab was mentioned in this video
I almost didn’t recognise it I thought it was a different type of dragon and not the thundermaw
Let me hear your majestic voice louder Sawyer! Be confident in what you’ve created here😊

It’s a homage to the spec evo trope of fully aquatic birds
So that trope in general, not just the gannetwhale. Cool.
In your opinion who do you think would win hullbreaker or a great kinsbane
In a prolonged fight- Kinsbane. In a quick encounter, Hullbreaker. Those punches really work against the armor of a Kinsbane as well- in a way talons or fire doesn’t!
will you cover the giants in separate videos/ or one long video going over them individually?
Wait, this has been out for 2 months ? Why is TH-cam only showing me now ?
i am hoping you do the hullbreaker
This is amazing
Does wearing a Rubber Suit help Defend against it's electrical abilities?
I assume thick clothing would be helpful
Proud of you, mate.
I love the music in this episode , wheres it from?
About time you did another one 👍
Quality content
Haha I love this it's almost like the 12 mouths of dragons hahaha. You're welcome my codex maker.
Wait are you the actual guy that made all of this? This is awesome, I remember your work from a curious archive video
Yes I am! I love CA and his channel
Will you be covering any if the non-dragon creatures in your world, or would they only be mentioned when relevant to a given dragon like you've done previously?
I’ll talk about the non dragons! Some creatures compliment the dragon profile best/are made with them in mind but others can definitely stand alone
Eu e que agradeço amigo por você estar se dedicado tanto pelo projeto Dragon slyer .um abraço ❤
Love this series!!
Is your book at barns and noble?
Hopefully one day it’ll be

@@roomtempwater1 that seems likes a good way to create a source of conductivity that the electricity could travel through.
10:08
It’s breath could ionise the air of water in a line that its lightning discharge then travels through.
