I remember when my uncle set out to hunt one of these devils, he was quite loved in the family, and even with a burnt face and chest and two missing limbs, somehow, he is still a favorite in the family
I'd imagine that hard armor would be a pretty effective defense against their scales. Sharp edges are great for cutting through large amounts of soft material like flesh or cloth, but there's a reason you cut vines with a machete and trees with an axe. Seems like the Peppermen and the Kalo came to the same conclusion.
Audio for this entry was definatly much better, absolutely loved learning about this dragon, there is such variety among your creatures and the unqiue ways they have specialized to take advantage of their respective environments make them feel like real animals
This man as created over 40 original dragons for this codex. The curious archive only showed some of the more popular ones, and it was released before a lot of the dragons were made
11:24 Okay thats awesome!! About time someone had a dragon that makes wasp like nest structures! 12:08 What a cute little bastard!! Overall I really like this dragon. It's definitely one of my favorites you've done. The bitterhide kelo is awesome too! I was wondering when ground sloths would appear since they're perfect for the world! Overall, another smash hit in my opinion!
In my opinion, the Music is to loud and you voice is too quiet. This is an easy fix if you just make the music quieter. But it seems like I am the only one with this opinion.
I have always loved this kind of deep dive into fantasy species lore/documentary. Also the audio is much more balanced and now your narration is no longer overpowered by the BGM. Great improvement!
Love the work, sounds better this time around def. Also the general vibe of this project reminds me of a old PS2 or PS1 game. You know like that really good game you remember from your childhood, with the crisp pixel textures but high detail and love put into it that gives it an overall style that's unforgettable. Kinda like if blood borne and gen 1 monster hunter had a baby.
@@sawyerleeart Explains why you dragon designs are unique, they are oddly fascinating-especially your witty placements of holes and features around the dragons body.
Awesome video, its always a pleasure to learn more about the dragons and lore from this project. Also, I can see an improvement with the sound quality, now its much better, and also all the ambiance sounds and musics really do it for me, you are improving with each new video! The painted blood-letter is an amazing dragon, a really unique one in every aspect of the term, with and unique biology and incredible lore. The ancient giants really caught my eye too, now I'm intrigued. The art, as I always say, is absolutely amazing, and cant wait to see more. Finally, and with a lil question, have you ever thought of creating a discord server or something like that so the community you have creates can chat and stuff? Anyways, amazing video and cant wait for the next one!
Fantastic as always, maybe the sound still needs some tweaking, but it's getting better. I can't wait for a certain angry purple boy to appear in a video, that one is especially brutal...
Amazing! Are they the only dragon species on that region? Also, have they expanded to other nearby regions? Because I feel like they could thrive in a variety of different enviroments without much issue
Dam i would not have thought the bitterhide was a sloth and would a bloodletter be able to be ridden if they had like a special saddle to stop the spines from stabbing you?
My own idea for a world of dragons, called "Dragons of Wine" The primordial beasts hath feln, Her Vengeance had dragged them by the claw, to Akiyon, and The Lifebringer has overthrown, drowned the world in blaze, and only the Havenborn, the Hairy, and the Hellrisen move on, except one, the great one, oh one so feared, so respected, so viscious, the Ancient Dragon, She birthed her daughters through from the flames, the 6 flames, sustained by Life, raised by Vengeance, fueled by blood. The 6 Flames, they survived the blazing Era of Fire by ripping, tearing down everything else, the 1st Flame chased the Havenborn, the 2nd Flame prey on the Hairy, the 3rd Flame had a greater hunger, reaching for the stars, the 4th Flame ravaged Akiyon, devouring all who dared call themselves "righteous," those who deserved the blaze, the 5th Flame ate the Hellrisen, and the 6th, she hid, cowered, appalled by the Wrath in her sisters' eyes', she tended to the wounds of passersby, poor undeserving travelers among Hell Primordial Beasts: Dinosaurs Her Vengeance: An immortal being who's only immortal through necromantics, and constantly in pain Akiyon: A mythological interpretation of the Moon(in my world) The Lifebringer: An immortal false god character Havenborn: Birds Hairy: Mammals Hellrisen: Fish The Ancient Dragon: Dragon Ancestor 1st Flame: Dragons, the 4 limbed, firebreathing kind 2nd Flame: Drakes, the flightless monsters of the lands 3rd Flame: Sky Serpents, residing high in the heavens 4th Flame: Basilisks, slithering through the dirt 5th Flame: Leviathans, demons of the deep 6th Flame: Fey, small, lovely little peaceful critters, excluding the Bonefey Era of Fire: The years immediately after the Mesozoic Extinction
But yeah I’m like 99% there was a vid on the scarlet lasher and wailing bishop but I think he possibly took them down because people were giving him criticism on things like audio being to quite and background noise being to loud, which is a shame because the vids were still really good and I hope he has the chance to remake them if he has the time…
Okay, I like that you're projecting your voice more, but it's still not perfect. The music is a little too loud and the quality of the audio/mic you're using isn't good. You sound too tingy/boxy here. Technical issues aside, this is good stuff. Keep it up man. Just fix your audio, that's all.

Exactly!
It feels like chain mail could work too; it's meant to stop slashing attacks, which seems to be the bloodletter's MO.

You're not the only one. I thought the music was too loud too, especially the first track with the flute. The second piece with the piano was better
I agree
Agree
Definitely agree
Same here, the Channel has great potential tho
I must say, this is probably one of if not my most favorite series in TH-cam
I wonder if lighting fires during their mating seasons increased the risks of attracting these dragons.
These dragons are amazing I hope we get to see the holdtaker or the ashen hagwyrm as the next dragon.
The pepper men culture gives me some serious Fear and Hunger Ma'habre vibes, super interesting just like the dragon!
The yellow mages?
@@elverdaderoechomikeoscar yep, I like how aesthetically similar they are
the birds-eye view of the dragons looked awesome, vibes of a giant spider or crustacean
a great improvement fixing the mic issue, good job!

Let’s goooooo, I’ve been waiting for this video
Yup I think the audio balance is much better. I absolutely love this series keep it up!
stayed up til 3 am reading all the deviant arts lol. this is def in my top 3 spec evo projects. also u should do the hagwyrms next
Reptilians and blades! Two of my favorite things!
Ah, good to finally start catching up on this series! Was the more semi-common rearing of captive bloodletters as guards to farms retconned?
FINALLY I was waiting for this and it was worth it.
I really do enjoy your work and hope to see more videos in the future.
This is so Deadly Nadder coded❤
I can see that and rattledread would be definitely be equivalent of the gronckle of the dragonslayer codex .
My favorite dragon you've made. I wanna fight one in monster hunter! Or get to play as one!
I guess that would be Seregios?
@@davidthor4405 seregios is barely "scratching" the surface man

I wouldn't want to fight it. This thing would most likely be bleed incarnate, with even a small scratch causing the effect.

There are no purple dragons in the Codex?
@@Trosvvo One species, it is true that it has other shades but reddish purple is the most representative, it is even shown that way in manuscripts.

Primordial Beasts: Dinosaurs
Her Vengeance: An immortal being who's only immortal through necromantics, and constantly in pain

Havenborn: Birds

4th Flame: Basilisks, slithering through the dirt
5th Flame: Leviathans, demons of the deep

better voice projection, try using a fuzzy-poofy-microphone-cover so you can enunciate with a softer pronunciation register.
