Man I was trying for an hour, I finally had gotten tired so I looked up on how to puta chain back on a bicycle. Well the first video had never said to make sure that the logo faces outward and you did so I appreciate you telling your subscribers because you helped a lot . Thanks!
Thank you for this short and very well explained video! It sure helped me figuring out the proper way I may route my chain back. I know it's not completely in this topic but before mounting the chain back, it's a great moment to clean the chain and also the front/rear transmission parts.
OH MY GOD. Thank you so much for helping. I don't have a tool to break my chain, so I was doing it with the chain beeing a loop and this video helped me finish it. Thx alot again.
You are a beautiful human. I have been arguing with this chain on my neices new 7 speed trike. I've been fighting with the "instructions" You saved us a headache! Thank you!
Just got a mountain bike all it needs is the chain set i used to be able to do this all the time but forgot its been a while since i had a bike thanks for reminding me again
Woow... I Really Need To Know Ur Name... I Just Used Ur Video And Solved A Bike Problem Just Now... I Really Appreciate U Bro. GOD BLESS U IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
That was really helpful! The one thing I'm missing is info on how many links should I remove if my new chain is too long? I got rather confused trying to fit it as I thought it would be the correct length. It's an 8 speed chain, so it should be the right chain for gt avalanche 3x8 speed, right?
I just want to reiterate, does this hold true for newer 11 speed shimano chains? I have the HG 701. So the correct orientation for installation is having the shimano logo facing outwards, and right side up? Thats how I know its on in the right direction?
Can a chain be installed if it's already been connected together? I have a 15 speed mountain bike from Walmart and it does have a derailer. Or do I have to take The master link back off to install it?
I have a shimano chain but I don't have a shimano logo horizontal on any of the links, just either "HG" or occassionally "UI" which are both multiple orientations. I'm assuming it doesn't matter which way I line it up then?
A lot of these videos keep forgetting to mention that the back part can get unchained too. Make sure to check that because my from part was fine and I was confused
Thanks for this. I actually routed my chain the wrong way and it was outside the small guide bar at the top jockey wheel. Caused a bit of noise for 100km or so and have now fixed the problem. But... I can now see wear on the metal bar where the chain rubbed. Any concerns with that other than cosmetic?
was looking for this, i did the same and now i can see indents from the chain, I think it should only be a cosmetic problem but its kinda annoying me that i routed it wrong
I’m enjoying the bike so far th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
I looked at countless videos and this is the only one that actually helped me
That's great to hear, glad we could help
@@tredz 😊😊😊
Literally this
Wish more videos where just straight to the point like this
Same so many videos talk to much before and don’t even show how to put it on if it’s already off this was also the most helpful video

Ffs finally ! Took me 20 minutes just to find a video like this😤
a pair of gloves would come in very handy when fitting an oily chain? interesting video thanks
Excellent video! Way more clear than Park Tool's explanation.

What gear should the bike be in when fixing the chain ?

@@ianmoran9679 I know what you mean... was annoyed at myself. But yeah, only cosmetic and just use a black market to darker the aluminium on show.
Thanks alot
Thanks bike man, I should have watched this 1st.
You're welcome :). Hope this video has helped!
Thanks ❤❤
Now after routing it, how do i put the chain's screw thingy back on
Good time to clean the cogs too
TNX ❤
How do I rout the chain on a derailleur that has three jockey wheels?
Thanks you dear ❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks
I have the chain on my bike in this fashion without the rear wheel on, but cannot put the rear wheel on. I don't understand why?
I wish I’d watched this BEFORE I routed the chain around the wrong side of the little plastic tab thingy.
Hey Nice toturial but my derraileur doesnt Line up with my chain😢

THANK YOUU
To the point! Great!
And what if it is in gear 1?
Thanks I was able to do it!
Bought a new bike and the gear got stuck in the spoke. It abruptly stopped..what happened
the back of mine just flicks right back up to like the 2nd biggest one once i start pedaling and it shifts

Another video says to not go through the tab between the two rear derailer wheels .
Im 4'11, which should i get
Why the smallest cog? Why are the others there?
Try doing it with the chain attached
Bro you are terrible at explaining things the park tools video really helped me
Pair of gloves would be handy
You should have done this without breaking the chain. Not everyone has the tool for that.
Make a video that doesn’t cut the chain
Use gloves as well :)
THANK YIU SI FUCKING MUCH
👊Yay,😺👍
kk
This does not work
Fuck iv been trying to fix my bike for 3 hours and when i found this vid i did it in 20 min 😅😅😅
Don't drink and drive duis and riding a bike sucks
It'd be great of you actually showed how to put it on at a direct angle so we can see what you're actually doing 😐
