Could u use a hammer to install that link because my chain tools pin keeps 9n moving around and wint make contact with the shimano connecting link
And do it slow and careful. I pushed one of the plates out a little, thought screw it that's the best I can do. Couple of weeks later it ripped my rear derailleur off. Get one of those clip on connection like KMC do
You’re driving the pin in from the wrong side.
