When I saw your Thumbnail.... I KNEW that a great Woman had to be behind this GREAT idea... WOW... I literally gasped when I saw your thumbnail... thinking Dang... Girl... that is perfect. I have started not taking 2nd best of anything... I have seen many people, just "Truck Camping" ... which I have never heard and I have been camping for over 50 years... This is a turning point for me... I personally think it would be easier for me to TRUCK Camp... than to tow around a tiny camper... Thank YOU so much for sharing this great video... "You Go Girl" ( I tell that to all of my ACTING Students)... God Bless and be safe.
Just binged all your truck videos and subscribed and I’m in love. Thank you for sharing, seeing other black women truck camping is freeing and the representation needed for me to know that “girl I can do it💫”! A million thank yous
Love it! Can’t wait to see you actually use your setup. I’m waiting for this Texas heat to go away so I can try out my truck camper. I have a stand alone screen room that I plan to use. You have really inspired me.
What a good idea, now you can pick a place and back in! Love the two ARB's now all you need is a breezeway across the tailgate (of course with a see through top panel for stargazing) to join the two ARB's so you can have full access without going outside (and zipping and unzipping).
love that deluxe screenroom idea, great suggestions on idea ways to turn them into rooms love that seating/ bedroom/bathroom/ changing area and yes who can forget a living quarters for the dog ,I love everyone of your possible ways in which you could utilize the screen rooms/camping tents, thumbs up and thanks for sharing and staging those rooms setups with us,there’s nothing better then visual creative suggestions.
New Subscriber That looks sweeeeeeeeeet !!! You went from truck camper, to a whole home! (even a chandelier LOL) You have real style going on. Love and Blessings to You and Yours.
I look forward to your videos. You have been the best inspiration for truck camping over all the rest. Most are guys and they don't cut it with comfort, style and practicality. Have as many screen rooms as you want!!
Just found your channel, always excited to find other "people of color" sharing their experiences camping, traveling, Nomading, adventuring or just having fun! 😀
I have a rooftop tent with a living pod on one side of my car, plus ARB room on the other side plus a decathlon 6 berth shelter attached to the back, and that's for my slide out kitchen in the boot off my Dacia Duster, I did have it all on my Peugeot 208 but the car started to struggle hence my partner car is the go to for Europe when we camp in France, Switzerland and Italy... 😉👍 Great vid ... Why not use every available space, it's free 🤟😎
Ms Dawn that is wonderful thing u decided to put on another ARB so if you can’t get one when u go camping again u can get the other I’m so glad 🙂 I found your channel and subscribe u make me see that u can enjoy 😊 life and naysayer are going to talk regardless I think it’s great u gave different ways of set up and that was very useful hopefully I will purchase one for my cargo trailer/camper thanks 😊 again enjoy next camping outing with you and Slay
Just found your channel, loving it!!! I have been wanting to travel in my Dodge Grand Caravan, but haven’t done it yet. Watching you gives me the courage to just do it❤️❤️
Love it!! Fling up as many awnings as you desire girl friend. That's how we roll. If you ever get down this way,I'll come Camp with u in my Cadillac. Whatever works lol
Isn't there a "Room" that the Door goes in front of your truck door? So you can go inside and out of your truck if you want to... is that right... or is that another ARB Screen Room?
Awesome video Dawn!, I had the same dilemma. Thought having the awning on the passenger side was perfect, until it wasn’t. Went ahead and installed a second one on the drivers side too. Gives you options, and in reality, I’ve spent more $ on a pair of LL Bean boots!
I have brackets on both sides plus the rear. Then I have multiple bolts set on the awning for each & mount with wing nuts. It only takes 2 minutes to move my awning from one location to another.
I mean..I'm a artist..I could use that extra space to work in..instead of inside my truck camper...where I have to worrie about spilling paint ..and stinking up the place.lol
@@DawnAdventures5678 Good to know... I'm getting ready to leave here in the next 12 days... This is funny... you'll understand this. I'm moving... and before I settle down, I want to "Truck Camp" for a few days at least... One of my friends works for a Hotel and wanted to give me a FREE night for a going away gift, which I thought was so nice, since I have not gotten all of my camping gear in order... The only thing was... I would have to pay a NON Refundable Deposit for my dog.. which would cost $100. for ONE NIGHT STAY!!!! I laughed and Thanked her for the kind gesture and said "I'd rather sleep in my car than pay $100. for ONE NIGHT for my dog... " LOL
i think the better idea is putting the tent ⛺ in the back of truck and put the stairs and getting more space for your dog and you , yes trying one this days in see what happens !
I love this, as I’m also a single woman who loves roadtrips, the outdoors and camping. I first watched one of your videos when I was considering trading my car for a truck and my Class C motorhome for a travel trailer. Since then, I’ve done exactly that. I now have a Chevy Colorado short bed and a small travel trailer. The travel trailer is gonna be awesome, but I’m thinking it might still be very nice to get in the truck with my dogs for short overnights, without getting the travel trailer out of storage. My Colorado has only a 5ft bed, so I won’t be able to sleep there, but this sort of arrangement is genius!! Could you, please share with us how the awnings are attached to the truck? I want to be sure I know how everything fits together and that I’m educated before I start purchasing things.
Thank you! Sounds like you are going to be able to have a blast in your travel trailer! The short, get up and go trips are great!!! I have a video of setting it all up that I hope to have out tomorrow. I don’t discuss the railing though.
@@DawnAdventures5678 sounds great. I do hope you’ll review the installation of all the components at some point. I find people really do try to snooker women, so I try to educate myself, so Im not a sitting duck. 😉
