Here's a strategy for you when it comes to fighting the Siren. The Siren's song will charm any familiars that you have and use them against you. I haven't played Repentance yet, but I would choose not to bring any familiars with you when facing the Siren.

@@Mintor94 I know that you can't choose the bosses you fight. I'm just saying that if you DO happen to fight The Siren in Mausoleum, you can use the strategy that I talked about in my original comment. Unless you're wanting to fight Mother, you will need The Knife.
Ah yes, handicap a potential build for the rest of the run to make a boss you may or may not fight almost unnoticeably easier. You ask me I'd take the siren with 3+ familiars over the heretic any day.

If you're doing the siren fight you're probably fighting mother so you have the knife
