Lived near Connel and have walked, mountain biked both Glen Kinglass and around Loch Etive, Glen Etive. Loch Etive is an absolutely wonderful Loch.
Super video, great scenery of an area that having moved away from due to family commitments some years ago, still miss on a regular basis.
    Thanks for sharing 👍

When you are in places like that in those conditions, the peace & solitude lives with you forever. Magnificent, and you clearly love the wild places as much as I do. Your enthusiasm is great to see.

Scotland’s most scenic glen. Hmmm. There’s plenty of choice. Glen Kinglass is a stunner, no doubt, but try the walk from Glen Pean to Loch Morar and back to Glen Dessary before settling on a final verdict. Having said that, a trip over the Munros from Cruachan to the Buachailles is my most memorable backpacking trip ever. I’ve got to say, this type of video, a journey on paths which rarely feature on TH-cam is exactly what I want to watch. Thank you for sharing it.

Where you stopped by Loch Etive was supposed to be very near where the Gaelic heroine Deirdre spent her time in exile with the sons of Uisneach. They built Deirdre a small house there which they called her Grianan, ‘sun bower’.

    Nice.
Great to see hikes besides the 'usual suspects'/famous trails in Scotland.
Stunning views and nice edit/filming choices, i.e. no need for endless shots of just water boiling or worse, eating food from a bag while explaining 'eating food out of a bag'.
What incredible luck with the weather btw. Gorgeous.

A real landmark edition. The extended run time does full justice to the scope and distance of your trek, every moment fully engaging --
    And what a trip.😮
Great you got to complete your previous watery attempt to traverse Glen Shirra to Loch Dochard. We can even forgive the jokes😖
How often would one find Loch Etive with a perfect unrippled mirror surface. Not often, but you did!!
Reflected in the water as you trogged up the loch-side was the granite wall on the West side of the loch, the Trilleachan or Etive slabs. Very much rock climber territory🧗‍♂️, but perfectly captured in your imagery.
Lingering views of the Buachaille in perfect spring lighting, Sublime!!
And all accomplished, as ever, on one Pot Noodle 😂😂

I'm only 5 minutes in just now but before I forget ... re water crossings:
I recently found out about the SEPA website and it's almost realtime river level data from monitoring stations.
While they may not cover your exact route I'm going to be using it in the future to gauge what burn crossings might be like.

What an amazing route. Yes, there's an awful lot of Loch Etive, isn't there? And there's a reason they chose that glen for James Bond, too... Buchaille Etive Mor or rather, the foot of it - just across the river from Lagangarbh Hut, is the first place I ever went camping as a 10-year old - an unbelievable 50 years ago this September! We got driven out by midges on the most epic scale ever - they came in the night and it was like something out a Stephen King novel...! You chose your season wisely!

I enjoy all your videos, maybe you could dip into a bit of history and enlighten yourself as to why there is no one in the areas you visit. Why has every nook and cranny got a name yet it is devoid of people, the beautiful views of man made wilderness is nothing to be astounded or joyous about . There are estimates of around four million people are missing from Scotland, hence the so called wilderness. And maybe a book on place names and how to pronounce them will help.
