Hello Anthony! I hope Joyce is feeling better. Very interesting releases from Marklin. I really do like that Koploper and the class 249 Marklin livery. Take care all the best
Hello, Deano! Thanks for checking in. We hope you are doing better. Joyce has definitely had a major upswing the last 2 days. Stamina is better, she's not coughing much. So, clearly, she seems to be on the mend.
Dare I say a bigger mix than usual, I felt sure you would go for the Koploper in red/white. When I'm running mine it's hard to take my eyes off it, it's so unusual.
Very nice. Any thing taking your fancy. If it wasn't 3 rail I would be all over that class 66/77. Euro cargo love the white simple but very effective. There are 2 rail from esu but for now house comes first😅
Yes, ESU makes their stock both 3-Rail and 2-Rail compatible, but I am in the 3-rail universe. I do like the 77, fortunately my kids have grown and moved away, so house is not as much an issue. ;)
They got some nice trains in that catalog, but $4000 for one locomotive, WOW! I don't think I could sell every locomotive I own and get $4000 out of them, lol!
Well it blows me away too! But when you consider the size, features and build quality, it suddenly starts making sense. I mean you could get a live steam gauge 1 loco for that price, but I’m sure the guys over in goppingen have done an excellent job!
@kyriakoshachirokus8982 oh, for sure, you pay for what you get! It's just funny how people complain about paying $300 for a locomotive (which is average for the North American manufactures), and then a locomotive like that one shows up that's over 10 times that price. But, you're absolutely right, the more detail and features a locomotive has (and then you throw limited availability on top of that), it's going to cause the price to skyrocket, there is just no way around it!
@@randallellison6421 totally agree man! Also as you said there are very limited numbers of these models. I think this is because of space (in Europe mostly). Talking from personal perspective most Europeans who live in apartments and even smaller houses without reasonably sized gardens sadly don’t have the space for these trains, even if money isn’t a problem. Most gauge 1 layouts I’ve seen are club owned and I wouldn’t be surprised if these models are the same.
3:19 A Br140 is basically a lower geared 110 (so you get a better power curve) 5:15 Yours are an 18.5 (the black one) and an 18.4 (the purple one). The correct pronunciation (according to the Marklin release video) is 'achtzehn - drei dreiundzwanzig' so you basically call out the subseries 6:11 These are definitely era 3, as era 4 changed the designation to 'class letter + serial number' 8:01 The tinplate cars would fit... as would a set of Umbauwagen or Silberlinge... and it's Jean Ricard proof as you can run these steuerwagen first. 10:55 Try to find a Marklin 4093, that would better fit the older vehicles. Be aware that the moving doors on the older models tend do fall apart... 14:20 If its a 66 or a 77 is a matter of selection by the operator. Most prefer to distinguish the non-UK profile ones from the rest of the fleet for various reasons (the UK profile one cannot have A/C and has a smaller exhaust)
!, Cool to know 2. Yes, 18.5 and 18.4, I think I called my Bavarian an 18.3. 3. This I know. 4. Nice to hear you concur. Jean Ricard said it would go with them as well. 5. I had a hunch you would know a good match, but I will say the 4093 version is inverted coloring for the Ocean blue and beige. 6. Interesting to learn! Thanks for the info!

It was definitely a bit bigger than last year's, and a nice variety of style, content, and eras. The new Koploper was definitely an eye-catcher.
Hi Anthony Some very nice smart models there,, I like the Black Marklin livery loco and Tank-tainers, very smart colours. Thanks
Those are definitely on my wish list, Peter. Thanks for viewing!

Definitely the 1-Gauge stuff is insane on this level. Definitely for a wealthy class of modeler.
