Hello Anthony! Some amazing purchases from Brian at great prices. Duchess of Sutherland is based at a heritage railway not too far from me and currently undergoing a small overhaul. There are lots of videos of the duchess on my channel. I absolutely love the Marklin container wagons big wow.

Very nice, Anthony! I love seeing promotional stuff from model train companies, and those container cars are really nice, its going to look great when the full set is assembled! Also, that steam locomotive is absolutely gorgeous as are the coaches, great finds!
When I saw such things for the first time, I thought it cool but could not justify getting into it. Now I have decided I want the new loco and some of the freight and Joyce is on board with it, so we shall see what I can do.

Hi, CT! Those 47583 and 47584 are relatively easy to find right now, as they were released over the last few months. What I am looking for now are the older releases from 2018 to 2023 with the black Märklin livery. Stuff I didn't think I wanted then, but I am after now... it's been hard even finding the item numbers. I have to go through my old catalogs when i have time. I know 2-3 years ago, they released a flatbed with a 40' and 20' container. I can still find the double-container car #47812 easily enough... but definitely want the oil tankers they did a few years back. Thanks for the information! Cheers!

Hi Andy! Joyce is mostly back to normal... breathing stamina is still not there, but it will take time. (She can't sing a song, for example). The containers were striking, I think you said the wagons were plastic, are they not normally. The tank containers will be a nice addition to the set as well. Hi, Collin! Joyce is fine in normal activities. She still struggles with exertion, and she still can't sing right now. She runs out of breath. The prices on these things were excellent and the condition makes them a steal. As for the Märklin container wagons, many times the wagon beds are metal, but these seem to be hard plastic. The Duchess Class were an amazingly powerful Class of engines. For what its worth, I have the Duke and Duchess of Sutherland and I love them. 😃 The Duchess is in a video already scheduled on TH-cam. Great buy!! Happy Modelling 👍
Hi, Mon! I have just loved the LMS livery since I first saw a loco and set of cars. I have some BR cars in OO there, but I need to find more and with LMS on it. The Duchess was stunning the first time i saw the model and I have slowly talked myself into it. I just can not get carried away with OO stock. Take care!
Oh, it has been suggested, but will not happen. I think a small 4 x 8-foot table is coming, just need to decide where... below my currently layout, or connected above the current layout.
Container flats do look good, I did see those coaches Brian had, But I already had the Hornby short stock ones, I`m hunting the lima ones there a little more wallet friendly the the latest offerings

It is a beautiful steamer. Probably my last UK steamer (except maybe a better Mallard), but one never knows. lol
