There is a release tab on the hood hinge if you press that tab the hood on those open at a 90° angle it will open up further. I definitely remember that on a 1997 Mercedes S420 I worked on many years ago. Very nice car btw
Just adjusted my trans in my 92 500SEL. It was shifting hard and the throttle response sucked. I replaced the modulator and adjusted the two pointers in the engine bay (at the back) and got the two arrows lined up for the throttle controls. It's like a different car now.
Yeah I totally forgot about the adjustments because I knew mine was a bad vacuum since I’ve had that happen before. I need to adjust my 91 r129. Shifts are not right.
Thanks for this vid Pete. My auxiliary fans also not kicking on, I was thinking about maybe my AC is low on refrigerant because it does not blow cool anyomore. As far as I know when AC is on the first AC auxiliary fan should kick in, and as you said in this video the second should come on at around 105-107 degree celsius. I must look at the AC compressor whether its running or not next time beacause if not that can be also a sign for low refrigerant in my AC system. And I guess if the refrigerant is low in the HVAC closed loop the auxiliary fans will not come on either.
The steering wheel in a 1995 Mercedes does not work? Do you have any experience, my friend, or should I lower it manually because it is very high and will not lower? s500
Pete..you were in the process of moving some months ago...and in the interim...misplaced your contact info....I'm in the area and want to stop at your shop... location

Yes you are correct. The right fan should come on with ac on.
Don't forget to check the dual heater valve..
So heat is working and last time I had issues with the valve it wouldn’t work at all. But these do get clogged and I know can cause overheating too
There's also another relay by the driver side headlight...a bit difficult to get to...
that is related to the auxiliary fans?
