For all the people who says these games were copy and paste need to piss off. 75% of these guns were in zombies. Bringing back most of the WaW weapons from wallbuys and mystery box. Barely any of these were on multiplayer. And the others were on a campaign mission for the sake of bringing a few classic favorites back.
for most of the ww2 weapons in black ops: if they weren't in zombies, most of them weren't really changed in terms of the sounds or animations. they just straight ported over for the sake of zombies, with some minor texture improvements
Well to be fair, time wasn't on their side; back then they had to release a new title every other year.

I remember when advanced movement wasn’t a thing yet
I think changing timelines is creative, I also think that many hate for the timelines being futuristic is because 3 years of three COMPLETELY DIFFERENT call of duty experiences.
They didn't copy anybody, they themselves decided to do advanced movement, and all the advanced movement games were made by different developers all giving it a go.
I also think that if you go back to the three advanced movement games after taking a break, letting you not be so oversaturated with such games like that, that you can enjoy the game properly for what it was trying to achieve, they are all really creative and fun games in their own respect that have multiple hours or gameplay available.
Advanced Warfare has a very fun campaign with an upgrade system to make your exosuit how you want it to be
Black Ops 3 has an amazing bounty of game modes, from dead ops arcade, to campaign, to zombies, to a zombie orientated campaign, to multiplayer, to a platform time trial mode... Sooooooo much
And IW (being the most futuristic) actually has a really gripping story that is paced well and had me engrossed the whole time even through I'd much rather play a war game orientated in a war.
Yes, each game has zombies, but each games zombies mode is completely different to the others

the stg is interesting in the fact that in the campaign mission you can use it in in bo1, it sounds completely different, but when you play zombies, it's basically the waw version
I hate that they did that, instead of putting the bo1 sound for the stg in zombies. The waw version sounds like a paintball gun, but we’re talking a game from 2008, so I’ll let it slide.

Yeah that's kind of what I've noticed too. BO1 made them more balanced with a lot more echo. WaW just seemed to record the gun sounds straight without much editing in post to make it more balanced. The guns in WaW sound raw but not super if you can get what I'm saying.

That was the problem with WaW: some guns sounded way too superficial and the guns don't have any echo, the sound ends abruptly after firing.
Shellshocked German and some guns just didn't sound powerful enough
Shellshocked German they took the guns and used them in a firing range and recorded the sounds for waw.
The waw sounds are the real ones.

ANARCHY 91 CoD 4 remastered may have had the same campaign, but multiplayer is a shit show because of the addition of dlc weapons. It completely destroyed the multiplayer for many people, including myself. The fact is that since Activision knows people will spend money on dlc weapons in their games, they will continue adding them in. You can look at MWR, BO3, or CoD WW2 for confirmation. Unless Activision stops doing this shit, I personally think WaW should be left alone. If they do remaster it, I only want the campaign remastered.

That means that nearly 60% of players weren't dedicated to the multiplayer for the entire duration of the first year life cycle. If any CoD game was going to be bought purely for the campaign, it would be one of the originals. They already remastered CoD 4, so why not give WaW a remaster?

Well they added the wonder weapons and the MP-40.
Also Black Ops 3 actually makes new models. Let's also add the fact that BO3 has more animations to make (Ex. Crawling in all directions, sliding, vaulting, wall running, etc), Black Ops 3 also adds a lot of new lighting effects on the weapons themselves, like the green lights in the back of the Mark 2.
Black ops 3 weapons are gay as fuck be honest. Also they somehow managed to fuck up the old guns i.e the mp40 is big and cluncky, m16 has glow sights (ok thats nitpicking fair enough) but its packet punch is fucked its not even full auto and no grenade launcher and the m1911 is disgusting, it is so fucked up like the character holds it so far from his face and it dosent look or sound right. Those are only 3 examples but the still fucked the other old guns.
Also why the fuck are the old guns not in their original spots??? I go to buuy the mp40 but the shit stain of a gun the kuda is there. what the fuck.

Get to the options menu, then go to Audio, and turn the option "Quiet" to "Loud", then the guns are going to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay louder, and wouldn't get you deaf in the same time.

The WW2 guns in particular are exactly the same, they're just ported over, so I don't really see the point in "comparing" identical guns, but the guns that are native to Black Ops and to Waw are good to compare, like the M1911

I love bo1 and especially how you can use WaW and bo1 guns in some maps, it's great. Note to bo3, this was how you remake old maps, get rid off their old bugs and leave the map mostly intact

the mp40, mosin nagant, gewehr 43, stg-44, ppsh-41 and the mg42 are the only guns with different sounds (and mp40 has bo1 pap camo)

Keith Mason it's because a lot of the guns are just reskinned versions of existing black ops guns; for example, the ppsh is a reskinned karapis which ejects the shells out of the top.

The Type 100 was a Japanese submachinegun it is not the worst but definitely not the best. I would take a Beretta 38 instead. The MP18 in the other hand was the first practical subgun and the first one to be adopted by the German army. The Type 100 was surely based around the MP18 but it has nothing to do with it other than that.
