Morris minor when restored will run for ever and very economical. Plenty of parts in the UK even replacement wood frame. Brilliant buy.🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴👍
I worked with a guy at Oregon Steel Mills who would inspect the huge scrap piles for Morris Minor drive train parts. He carried what he called a Morris Minor Transmission key to quickly remove the gears.
I bought a 98 Metro used, not running. Drove it for three years. On a windy day, you cannot accelerate ascending an overpass. I cannot imagine driving this in mountains. 40 MPG....still got some bearings and seals left over from work performed. Sold the car for $1200 10 years ago. Everything worked. Some folks were adding turbo's to these three cylinders, yeah, that was a thang.
Just wait until the ash frame has to be restored or replaced..and then u will understand valuable..the MG is exactly what i was thinking...great donor..

Hi from the UK, if the Morris is going back on the road, make sure the front suspension trunnions are kept well greased, if neglected the wheel will eventually collapse up into the wheel arch😯. Am enjoying watching your vids btw👍👍
I watched one of the car restoration shows done in England, and one episode they restored a small British wood wagon. There was still a company in England that made the wood for it,and it was pretty cool how the back roof panel came off, then dismantle the wood,.
I can't believe you paid $1,750 for the Traveller that in that condition (condition 3 to restoration project standard) are fetching €500 in Europe. The bonnet release is a pull under the dashboard next to where the steering column goes through the firewall. All panels for the underside are available but the sill structure (what you call the rockers in the States are complicated to do and you need to brace the door apertures or the thing will break in two. I agree with the comments regarding the Morris traveller body. New body kits are easy to find online and have been available since the travellers were new... 😁 They were also available as great little van. When I was still in high school I had a job driving a brand new one which was one of the last Morris minors built in the World.
Good afternoon Tim, I hope you and your Family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank You for sharing this Auction with us!!! Awesome Buys!!! That Metro will make someone a reliable Runner!!! The Morris Minor is in unbelievably great shape for its age and the lack of rust is "Out of this World"!!! It's as though it was stored inside for 50 years..... WOW!!!! Thank You again and God's Speed Sir!!!!!!!
My good lady wife is from Glendale, the dealership has gone now. That Morris will be a super restoration project. I'll expect to see it in Monterey in a couple of years.
they used that blue california plate till 1982.. i grew up where that car was sold from.. pretty cool.. a buddy of mine had one of those geos with 250k back in 2015 that started knocking.. so he thought it would be fun to run it into a 2 foot high round rock.. well... he went over the rock.. knocking the oil pan in and leaving a few good dents in the floor.. was pretty funny watching him get out of the car
goodpliers goodbuy had one for 15 years as a daily driver full of rust never mist a beat van model some new tiers get her running some shine juice drive it forever thanks for yor show nz
I was surprised it sold for as much as it did, but I also think you bought the most interesting vehicle. I hope you will do some videos on getting it running and driving.
Over 60 yrs old and survived a tornado and the rust worm earned bit of TLC . Hope you found the hood handle inside car,(parcel shelf) .over 1 million moggys made Britain equivalent to VW. Get it running and take it for a drive if it doesn't make you smile sell it on. My 72 Traveller did I hope yours does I would say more parts and advice available than any car made?
The Wood on the Traveler is structural but kits are made in the UK, I think its Ash. It has a BMC B Series motor which was fitted to many Morris, Austin and MG cars, lots of tune up parts for them, drop in a 1275 cc with twin SUs and Zoom :) As we say in the Ole Country, Nice Motor Mate.
The Morris wgn seems in good shape. Thought someone was gonna outbid you. Maybe worth you doing the floors before flipping it? Those Metros were crazy good on fuel. Very cool scaled little tractors. Modified Jeep, and grader collectable. Neat old bank deposit slips or what ever they were!
Hi Are you going to be restoring the Morris ? I’m in the UK and have a 1952 series MM 2 dr that I’m getting ready to go back on the road ! Best wishes Tim 😊👍
That woody shouldn't be as bad as the Nomad that Dan from DD Speedshop is doing/LOL. I think I would try to replicate some of that wood as its just enough to get that bigger dollar bill from. I think its a runner regardless of how it sits now as pieces are still available I think.
Interesting to see Morris Traveller in the USA. You were wrong to say that the timber is not structural. Althought the timber on a Mini Traveller was cosmetic, on the Morris Traveller the timber keeps the roof up. The front end and floor are mild steel but from the door pillars back it is aluminium panels and ash timber. The cost of the ash timber kit alone without the fitting kit and the labour is £2,000. They are not worth doing if the timber is gone unless you get the car for nothing.
Fun fact: the original Morris Minor had its head lights on either side the grille. They were forced to change to the current arrangement to export it to the USA. Look for images of Morris Minor Series one to see what they were like.
Hi.Question are those tractors repairable or all of them for scrap? And the bus can you restore what it original was or it's going to cost too much.Rather than that good auction the morris wasn't bad .👌👌👍👍are you ready to sell the morris or are going to keep it
Thanks for stopping by the channel! I have finally gotten the title for the Morris, so it is available. The engine turns and looks like it has a very good chance to run if tinkered on. I would love to get together with you on it. Send me an email, mrgoodpliers1985@gmail.com

Nice buy on the Morris. MG means Morris Garages. My first car was a 1959 Morris Oxford Saloon
Two good buys especially rare Morris Minor and red Chevy Metro has a good engine.
Love listening to your accent! You sound just like “Forest Gump”, priceless,, cool Vlog, cheers from Downunder ❤️🦘🦘🦘
Big fan of the channel,so glad you ended up with the Minor. It'll make great future content.

Great video, I love the long ones!
I'm a Mini owner. You did very well with the Morris Minor. (also like the five speed Chevy too - I like all five speeds)
tHanks for the video

open the hood latch by opening the pass side glovebox and there is a pull in there.

Nice little Morris. We had one in Australia in the late '50s. It was just a sedan.
I was surprised it sold for as much as it did, but I also think you bought the most interesting vehicle. I hope you will do some videos on getting it running and driving.
Check my other videos, we tinkered on it, and you will be quite surprised with the results!!
Morris is a nice find
hi there great auction wish i had been there , in to jeeps did you happen to hear what that one sold for . thank you john
That Morris Minor would make a crazy hot rod. A sbc with a Blower on it.

That metro and that Morris will be great when gas is $5/gal......
34.38 says no title for the geo but at 42.33 you said they had a title for the geo but couldnt find it.
Yes, they had applied for a replacement, which I have now
one of those mini tractors somebody built recently sold at sothebys or someplace for like 45k

That's actually the "A" series engine not the B.

Would have loved to had that Allis grader and Henry pan.
Plenty of Minors still in regular use here in UK...
They still make the wood frame for these over here in the UK
that Morris Minor would be a nice one to restore imagine some nice Hickory, walnut or oak on it it can be made pritty
The original timber is Ash
The minor will start with little work, the wood is Ash, there's a guy in the UK that makes pattern wood parts.
That dozer looks like the one they used in "The grapes of Wrath" movie.
i could be wrong but those mini tractors there where build by the company for a road salesman's for demo on a small trailer again good videos
My brother gas one of those Morris Minor Travellers in England and my cousin imported one to her home in France

I live in Salina what site do you use to find all these auctions
back in 1956 a friend ad morris minor rag top
Might buy that geo metro from you if you sell it cheap enough alaways kinda wanted one that one looks like it’s in great shape
morris should be powered by about an 800 cc flathead four

Wow, has it got trafficators, in the door panel, must be a 1950's car.
It's more likely those are blank plates as Semaphore Signals weren't allowed in the U.S. and that's apparently an Export model Morris
We call them Moggy minors in the UK.
24.0 green acres had the same ford
Morris would be perfect for an electric drive conversion.
That fiberglass trailer an extra battery pack for the Morris? The metro engine as an emergency generator for the trailer? 😆
19:20 Allis Chalmers Speed Patrol
THAT METRO SHOULD SELL FAST BECAUSE OF THE GAS AT 50 MILES PER GALLON. YOU WILL MAKE MONEY.
I'll bet that the MG convertible seats were way too low for the Morris Minor.
Those 2 buzz saws are worth over 1000. Dollars each.
The bulldozer was a bargain.
Think the Morris wood is part of structure it's UK 🇬🇧 car nothing to be proud of lol
👍👍👍
You can get ull the parts for that car in the uk
The Morris Minor is cool! Imagine it built as a straight axle gasser with Hemi power! I'd call it Major Wood!
When you gonna fix your trailer floorboard, Bud ?? Safety first...
How much did the Texaco sign sell for
the selling of the sign was bs, it should have been finial a few times. very annoying, this has happened to me and I just stopped going to auctions.
That car older than me and I is 58
