Thank you sooo much dude!! My radio was cutting on and off every two seconds and couldn’t even get radio stations working, but this fixed it! Thank you tons!
May 26 2024. Thanks for the video. Once you remove the bezel, reach in and jiggle the antenna plug which is all the way right on back of radio. Dont worry. No shocks. With radio on and jiggling antenna plug I was able to get my radio back. But also do everything up to removing CD player. Its not that hard. My 2 cents: you can clean the radio without removing the CD player if you have a long Q-tip and you dont have the torx bit. If you have it then its not a problem. Remember to put everything back before trying the radio
I used this fix for my radio a couple months ago when I suddenly had no sound. Worked great for a couple weeks, then sound went out again. Repeated the fix, worked again for about a week before going back out. In total I've pulled this radio out a dozen or so times now and each time it works for a shorter period of time. 😂 Definitely looking to replace now. -- Anyone have suggestions on what to get?
I just did it to my 2016 Jeep compass and it worked, but as i was listening to the radio for roughly 3 minutes it cut out again and back to how it used to be. But it did come on i just don't know if i should pull it out again and try it again or what. Has anyone else ran into this problem as i just did. If so what was your next step.

I been waiting for a reason to buy a new Alpine stereo on in my 2013 wrangler.
Lol
You much chance of breaking a more essential part .....
Good 👍 job.
Mine is now
Just did this 30mins ago on my daughter’s 2016 Patriot and it worked perfectly
Every 2016 Jeep compass I didn't think it would work but I did it and it works beautifully thank you

Worked on my 2016 jeep compass, thanks!
Exact same radio in my 2016 Caravan. The fix lasted all of 1 day. Next time ill also clean, and go longer with the heat gun.
You are Awesome! I'm going to attempt what you did but I also can't get my cd to eject out. It plays but won't come out.
Our radio quit but the cd and blue tooth does. Oddly on occasion the radio will play at random. Does your fix sound like a repair for that issue?
Hello, any ideas on what to try next if this doesn't work? Looks like that's the boat I'm in here....

Why the car radio model is different from the one you are fixing?
I have that same heat gun, do you remember if you used the I or II setting on it?
Well this work for the radio with the touch screen?I have a 2008 jeep wrangler and it cuts off all the time
Thank you!
If mine starts doing it again should I just repeat this process?
Mine cuts in and out on SAT and aux too. Seems like a power interruption. Which plugs on the back are for power or speakers?
Same problem here, if you found a solution , please let me know
Did you guys find a solution I’m currently having the same issue
Yeah mine worked for 1 day and back to what it was..
