In germany we fish a lot with these poles, up to 36ft long. Mostly we fish for whitefish (up to 10lbs) with these poles. They even have competitions with them. When I use dead fish as bait for pike fishing, I use them like a spoon and tease the pikes, like you tease a cat with woolen ball. But I use steel and treble hooks, to instantly set the hook, when they bite. Greets from germany

Watching your channel is what turned me onto using a black widow. I love using it for blue gill and other pan fish i have never used it for anything bigger but sure looks like fun!!!
Did you ever try fishing gar with unraveled rope? My friend used to do this many years ago. The teeth get tangled in the frayed rope just as if they had took a baited hook.

I use my Black Widow for crappie in the spring when they are in the small channels. That's gonna happen in a couple of weeks. So much fun.
