Well said! This movie was and is one of the best and most fun movies of All-Time. The characters are perfectly casted, the town is done extremely well, and the monsters are done with the same reverance that Jaws did, Alien did, etc. This is a 10/10 movie beginning to end.

One of my favorite memories is sitting with my grandma one night, and randomly deciding to watch Tremors together. She had never seen it, really didn't watch any "scary" movies at all, ever. Ultimately, she watched it because she likes Kevin Bacon. She thought it was basically the best movie she'd ever seen. She laughed, she gasped, she startled, she got all into it. "No! The pogo stick is gonna make the monsters eat the little girl!? HOW CAN THIS BE IN A MOVIE?" Then a couple minutes later "OH THANK YOU JESUS FOR SAVING THAT LITTLE GIRL!" I always liked Tremors, but that memory makes it one of my favorites.
It does seem to connect with an older generation, particularly women, as my working with the elderly has unearthed many Tremors fans. Memories of the Sci-fi movies of their youth, strong female characters and the shocking but relatively mild blood & gore makes it a fun watch.
I can totally understand, I love this kind of movie. The monsters are too improbable to actually scare you, and the humor was just right. Saw all the movies and the TV show. Glad to learn they are making a new one. Hoping it's gonna be in the exact same vein.
I was 9 in 1991 and I remember going to the video rental place and my aunt would rent it for me every Friday night for weeks. I just watched it over and over. I personally rank it above movies like Jaws and others. Love it.
@@thomastrosper6766 Jaws holds a special place in my heart. It was probably one of the only movies that had lots of swears and gore in it for a PG-13 movie. I never got to experience such classic types of cinema in the theatres, it was always home video and DirecTV for me.

Seeing Tremors for the first time, uncut on my grandparents basement Television will always be one of my fondest memories. I think I've watched it about 4 million times, since..
I absolutely love Tremors from my childhood, you just cannot get enough of the characters. The puppetry for the Graboids is just spot-on and works. I cannot get enough words out for how much I enjoy these movies.
It's one of those movies that you watch again--and look for mistakes that you missed the first ten times--and you don't find any. I do wonder, thought, how Chang made any money from a store in a town of 14 population.
My favorite movie. I enjoy watching it more than any other. I love the setting, isolated mountainous desert in the midday sun, not connected to anything else in the world. Loved the characters and the actors and the fun seriousness of it all. The monsters were crazy silly impossible, and perfect. Oh Lord!
I liked it as a kid, but never realized how amazing it is until just recently. It is a near perfect film for me. The acting, chemistry, locations, humor, just amazing
I think I first saw Tremors as a video rental, back in the day. I loved it so much I later found it in a Walmart $5 bin and bought it on VHS tape. Years later, I put it on my Xmas list and received a Tremors on DVD. This is still on my 10 Favorite Films of All Time.
I’m one of them that keeps watching Tremors over and over again. It’s a great movie classic that had everything. Really funny too. Great character combo.
I'm really glad this movie found it's success. I've lost count of how many times I've watched it, and it's sequels, and the series. I went to the anniversary event in Lone Pine last January. I have to say watching the movie in the Museum of Western Film History with the cast and crew was the single best movie going experience on my life. Michael Gross was 10 feet away sitting on the floor and Ivo Cristante was in the seat in front of me. The commentary was priceless. What a great bunch of people. You can tell they had a lot of fun making this little flick.
The top notch playful tone, tension, effects, characters, screenplay, and anchored by the chemistry between Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward. Genuinely one of the most fun movies to watch and rewatch.
Thank you for making me scared of walking on dirt when I was a kid and gave us hours of pretending like we where in the movie on the playground lol !! Such a classic film !!!
I'm watching this movie right now for probably the 500th time. 1st saw it at my neighbors house in the early 90s and have been watching it ever since. One of my favorite monster movies. Alot of movies I've seen so many times I fast forward through, I watch this one all the way every time. It's that good and it holds up so well even 30 years later
Tremors has stood the test of time of being a great “low” budget genre flick. It’s a good example of problem solving on the set, unlike today when everything can be “fixed” in post by using CG. It also benefited greatly from coinciding with the explosion of home tape rentals as well as cable tv being in more homes and the need for programming to fill up airtime. It’s a movie I’ll usually watch every time I see it listed on tv, or at least dvr it and watch it the next day. A true classic of its type of film.
Absolutely the same for me. On a weekend whether it be Saturday afternoon or sunday after church if Tremors or Tremors 2 are on TV me and my brothers will watch it. This was the 90's to early 2000's.
I think it had a top notch pacing rarely seen in small budget films that normally has padding, making them a bore to rewatch. Tremors is paced like back to the future, or Jurassic Park. They also got the tone just right, a true 7 - 77 horor movie.
I was a kid when I first saw Tremors. It was an instant classic. When I saw Tremors 2, I was sad that Kevin Bacon was gone but Micheal Gross started to take more place brilliantly. And Tremors 3 made it clear that Burt Gummer was now the main character of the franchise After Tremors 4, I was sure that it was over. So, i did many rewatch but I did not look for more movies. And many years later, to my great surprise, I learned that there was not only a fifth but a sixth movie!! I watched them back to back. And I rewatched them a couple of times too. And now, in 10 days, there will be a seventh movie. So don't try to reach me on october 20 evening. All my notifications will be off. My phone will be off. I'll be watching that all new Tremors movie! I can't exactly explain why I love that universe so much but I fell in love with it and that love is not about to fade!
@@andrewfoss728 I feel like Tremors the Series was the hight of the sci-fi channel. B movies galore and a load of shlock but at least they were fun and didnt get as old as making sequel after sequel of Sharknado.
I have enjoyed the movie since it came out and now my children and grandchildren are having fun watching it. I expect more generations will be thrilled by underground worms.
It's a timeless classic, no doubt. I watched it for the first time when I was about 13 years old on VHS. I've since rewatched it too many times to count. And two years ago I stumbled across Lone Pine on a road trip (I'm from Europe) and decided to visit the fantastic movie museum there. And I had no idea Tremors had been filmed in the area. So imagine my surprise when I heard they had one of the original graboid animatronics. I was like a kid in a candy store that day. Imagine stumbling on that piece of movie history entirely by chance - for one of your favorite movies of all time! And naturally, I had to go into the hills as well, and experience the "real deal". It was such a great day!

Seeing Tremors for the first time, uncut on my grandparents basement Television will always be one of my fondest memories. I think I've watched it about 4 million times, since..
Just back from Lone Pine again, great place to vacation to on the 395 hwy!
Not the safest place to watch this movie unless you had your own gun wall and an elephant gun.
Uncut? Like no circumcision?
I absolutely love Tremors from my childhood, you just cannot get enough of the characters. The puppetry for the Graboids is just spot-on and works. I cannot get enough words out for how much I enjoy these movies.
It's one of those movies that you watch again--and look for mistakes that you missed the first ten times--and you don't find any. I do wonder, thought, how Chang made any money from a store in a town of 14 population.
It's a classic. One of the best movies EVER made.
The “stampede” ending is brilliant though. Truly a grandmaster level play
It's just so fucking good. The cast, the pacing, the effects. A real gem.
Tremors is perfect because the tone was serious, the characters naturally bring humor, through their fear and immense knowledge of each other
wasn't a time I turned on the USA network when this movie wasn't on during a weekend in the mid 90's
This and road warrior seemed to always be on....good times
Yep! That’s true!😁👍
...Or all of 2000's
True, but it was heavily censored. Mostly the swearing but some of the violence to. Only the VHS or the occasional HBO showing would do it justice.
@@wesleywarsmith1113 yippie kaiyay Mister Falcon
Still one of my favorite movies of all time! It never gets old no matter how many times I watch it! All the actors are perfect!
Just had a pretty bad day....this really was a bit of sunshine...Tremors a true cult classic sooo rewatchable...i love it, thank you all sincerely.
I think I first saw Tremors as a video rental, back in the day. I loved it so much I later found it in a Walmart $5 bin and bought it on VHS tape. Years later, I put it on my Xmas list and received a Tremors on DVD. This is still on my 10 Favorite Films of All Time.
I think this video wont go viral at first but over 30 years it will become one of the most popular video on youtube
are you saying it be like the film?
@@Marveryn I thought Tremors was always cult classic?
Yes, it was a wonderful event!
Solo il primo avuto successo, il resto non hanno avuto successo
The top notch playful tone, tension, effects, characters, screenplay, and anchored by the chemistry between Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward. Genuinely one of the most fun movies to watch and rewatch.
Thank you for making me scared of walking on dirt when I was a kid and gave us hours of pretending like we where in the movie on the playground lol !! Such a classic film !!!
Before “the floor is lava” was ever a thing for us 90’s kids. 😁
"Floor is lava " has been around a long time even before me. (A 70s kid)
This movie does make you want to play it again.
@@robertbennett883 True...The floor was lava back in the early 80s as well.
eh... no. but sorta
90s kids would have been to young until the late 90s ?
Such a good movie.
The entire series is just classic.
This movie will never grow old to me. A Classic.
Tremors 1 and 2 are my comfort movies. Some of the few movies i can watch a few times in a row and still enjoy every bit.
Tremors was one of my first horror movies I ever saw, and I consider it my favorite of the 90s.
Just back from Lone Pine again, the area will put you in the movie when there.
One of my favorite movies, it's so good to see almost everyone there.
R.I.P
Fred
My kids LOVED this movie! We'd sit there together and watch it all the time. Great memories.
If it weren't for the VHS, I'd have never seen this movie, and thank goodness. My whole family loved this movie.
@@isabellegroleau9672 I agree except for Jurassic Park. On rewatch, it tends to drag for me.
Very under rated movie. Kevin and Fred made the best duo!!! They should have stared in more movies together.
Is this a documentary? What the hell is going on? I mean what the hell is going on!?
Cool quote
Nice.
And no Spore!
I see what you did there.

I introduced this movie to my kids about a month ago, they are 14 and absolutely loved it.
Love Tremors, great vid but shame Fred wasnt involved in this too.
If he isn’t in it I have no interest in it. You saved me a half an hour.
@Pops Grady wasnt in Tremors 1 but yeah, what the hell happened to him?
where is fred anyways,
@@mohammadfauzee7326 I guess retirement. I haven’t seen him in anything in a long time.
@@brunneng38 he was in a couple episodes of True Detective.
The little lines during the credits, like the movie is on an actual VHS tape are a lovely touch.
I was a kid when I first saw Tremors. It was an instant classic.
When I saw Tremors 2, I was sad that Kevin Bacon was gone but Micheal Gross started to take more place brilliantly.
And Tremors 3 made it clear that Burt Gummer was now the main character of the franchise
After Tremors 4, I was sure that it was over.
Don't forget the tv series!
@@andrewfoss728 I have all movies and the full series.

That whole franchise is just plain cinematic fun!
I still remember seeing this at the movies. To me this was a perfect movie. The cast, story, effects, all of it.
I've read that the script is used in screenwriting schools. No CGI. All story, characters, and physical sets and monsters.
That is so cool, you are from Europe and your stumbled upon it, that is just awesome.
@@RamblingRodeo It really underlined to me how awesome road trips can be. Just driving around with a loose idea of where you are going. Then stop in random small cities and just take it all in. So many cool places to visit in the US.
@@larsmuldjord9907 Oh yeah, i have friends that come over here, not realizing how large the US is, they dont realize how long it takes to from one side of the country to the other, sometimes they think it could take hours like in most of Europe when that is the case. Alot of different area across the US, alot of little nuggets per se.
@@RamblingRodeo Yes, I envy the variety of landscapes and great natural formations there are to experience in the US. Europe has plenty of cool places too, of course. But the US is just a step up in variety no doubt. I've been both on the west and east side, and north and south. So much to see. And always friendly people wherever I went.
@@larsmuldjord9907 Completely agree! I am very welll traveled when it comes to Europe. It is just not the same, i love the rich history Europe that the US doesnt have.

Thank you, every single person who work on this film, for making my favorite film of all time. I grew up watching Tremors. I used to be afraid to walk on my basement floor. I love Val, Earl, Rhonda, Burt, Heather, Chang, Nancy, Mindy, Miguel and even Melvin.
Guess you were glad that Nestor got eaten.
Have been in love with Tremors since I first watched it in video in 1990. When ever I feel sad I watch it and it always cheers me up!
This film was a hell of a lot of fun. A great mix of horror, and humor, with some fun performances. You can tell when the production and the cast had good chemistry, and this proves it.
Man, it's crazy to hear all these stories about people watching this movie with their fathers... I've probably seen this movie 75 times, 73 of them with my dad. And I'll probably watch it just as many times with my own kids.
This is one of my all time favorite movies, mainly for the nostalgic feeling I get when it takes me back the best decade ever.. I truly think the 90s were the best
Tremors is one of those movies that I can watch right after watching it!
I loved this movie immediately. Saw it in the theatres when it released and I thought it was genius - funny and thrilling at the same time. The natural drama was infectious too. Just a fantastic script and phenomenal acting.
One of my favorite movies. I can quote it all day.
"Here, take my Model 70..." I wonder if Winchester paid for product placement?
Tremors is a Cult classic! This movie is on reruns all the time, it never gets old to watch! That is staying power of what it says about Tremors! My family loves it, can watch it over and over and over again and not get bored.

Thank you to everyone involved in the films. The old ones you can't beat, the surprise of the new ones was awesome, thanks Michael Gross for continuing after all that time passed. Four movies I can watch over and over, each depending on the mood: Field of Dreams; Dr. Strangelove; Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; and Tremors.
One of my late mother's favourite films - she wore out the VHS, so I got her the DVD one Xmas. It became was of a tradition between Xmas and New Year...
You guys were blessed. We knew what Tremors was supposed to be, so we could love even the terrible movies.
Such a classic. I was so happy to introduce this to my kids. They loved it, of course.
I remember coming home from school to watch it for the first time. I loved it so much. I would rewatch it & it became like a "comfort food" film.
That it's partly an homage to the creature features of the 1950's and done without CGI, make it almost timeless. My granddaughter loved it when she was ten.
Tremors is on my favorite movie of all time! There is just something about it that hits every single string in just the right way.
Its one of the ultimate buddy films. Im convinced. Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon were so good together. Then you add in the rest of a great cast. Its timeless.

The little girl from tremors, and jurassic park to be honest, now in her forties...plus a clip in the documentary about the fast growing vhs industry...yeah, I'm feeling real old right now. Great movie though, that can't be said enough
One of my all-time favorite movies. It’s a fun horror film. Scary without being disturbing. Burt Gummer became a role model for my young, impressionable self. Even today, my Wife will sometimes refer to me as “Burt” when she sees some of my projects. I wear it as a badge of honor.
