Thank you. Every other place including digital foundry said the only difference between 60 fps and 120 fps was resolution but that wasn't sitting right with me. I kept switching back and forth and my gut told me it isn't just resolution and you took the time to prove my suspicions correct! I appreciate this and glad to know I'm not crazy lol Earned a like from me for the video
There is definitely for Aliasing at 120fps. On DMZ when you look at straight lines like roof tops you will see pretty bad aliasing which can cause it to be hard to see players at distance.
I agree..The compromise between visual fidelity or game fluidity is worth playing at a slightly lower resolution and running the game at 120 fps on a 120hz monitor.....Like you say, the difference in visual quality is hardly noticeable compared to playing at 60 fps or 120fps where the game feels so much smoother at double the frame rate...
I mean I play on 1440p at 120hz and I have the on demand texture downloading thing turned off with fidelity cas on at 70 runs great and looks very good.
@@DavidGonzalez-xm8qh 120hz mode downgrades the graphics to get 120 fps, 60 fps mode gives the best graphics. So 120hz mode gives you better frames for lower graphics quality and 60hz mode gives you 60fps and very high graphics quality
Yes it's definitely worth it! I can notice a huge difference in movement! I'd rather have FPS than resolution That's my opinion! In a first person shooter game frame rate is key! After setting my S/X and tv for 4k120 hz fps mode there's no going back! For games that have that option anyways I'm a cod player big difference!
I think what everyone is missing is when you shoot your gun in 60fps it’s gets almost a bit blurry once you have to kill more than one player because the game resolution is not running as smoothe on 120fps it just keeps everything clear it depends on your monitor as well I have a 650$ monitor that runs 120fps at the max hertz settings and I love it
Yeah I’ve noticed a difference I usually play hardcore and definitely am mid level player. Now at 120hz I’m more in the top 3. I’m landing shot that I sometimes think I missed.
Just wanted to say cheers mate, I’ve got the new series X arriving tomorrow but I’ve got the SKYGLASS TV , it’s 4K ,UHDR, DOLBY ATMOS SURROUND SOUND so I expect it to look good enough for me but it just won’t operate at 120fps or 120hz, whatever it is, I’m not great with all that stuff, but you’ve eased my mind as I thought I was gonna have to buy a new TV to just to go with the XBOX X, but watching this has made me feel better and more at ease about it all. I’m not a serious gamer but I like to play it now and then ya know… if I was I’d probably invest in a new one to replace the one in my bedroom for it but now I won’t bother . If ya could answer me this, what difference really does frame rate make apart from smoother gaming maybe? Does it affect online gaming?
Glad you're uploading again, though I've quit CoD since MW2019. SBMM, Warzone integration etc (the usual suspects) is what drove me away from the franchise. Doom Eternal at 120fps on XSX is a dream. It's the main reason I bought the new console and monitor. Would you mind linking the music you've used in this video? I've always enjoyed the music you've used here and I'm assuming it's royalty-free? Either way, hope you're doing well.
Thanks very much! I'm really enjoying this years Call of Duty - I hope no changes are made to spoil it as I think it plays well at the moment and is good fun. I understand what you mean though. Glad to hear you are enjoying 120fps on your Series X 😄 Sorry but I can't help with the music, it's from a collection I have on my PC which I got years ago from various places so I wouldn't know where to start. I can't recall where I got things but I made sure it was fine to use in my videos.
Great video thanks how do you get the better resolution do you need to turn 120 hz off in the Xbox setting or just the mw2 settings ? and having vrr on does that affect the resolution to ?
How about the field of view? Does it slow the system of series x down, i have field of view 110 on a really small pc monitro 144 hz max 1080p. Do i need tot turn field of view down even when im used to is?
I dunno man. I upgraded from PS4 to PS5, from normal internet to fibre, changed my ethernet cable, bought a 165hz Dell monitor, set console to 120hz in game settings and still see no real difference in enemy frame rate.
There’s a huge difference between ps4 and ps5 and all the other things you mentioned should make an even bigger difference especially 60 fps vs 120 fps
Hi all. I have xbox series x and Lg qned 91 (120hz 4k). I am connected with 2.1 hdmi. My settings on xbox 4k 120 hz. In game settings 120 fps on. I see no difference between 60fps and 120fps. I bought a tv 120hz to play 120 fps, but i dont see it. All my friends saying the differense is noticeble and i should see it but i dont. Tryed different settings of tv, game mod, vrr on off, premium sync on off, xbox setting, still NOTHING. How is that possible?? Tried to check fps in another games. Fortnite shows fps ingame. Its 120 and when i change it to 60, the difference is veeery little. I am not even sure i see it.
From my understanding the new generation of games for the Series X are only capable of (4K 60fps) or (1440p 120fps). I’d change to 1440p 120fps and see if you notice a difference. You’ll probably find that because you’re console is setup for 4K 120fps, it’s just setting the resolution to 4K and giving you the best FPS possible, which is probably only 60fps give or take depending on the game.
@@JW-ZeroSpyderW thanks for answer, it sets automaticaly to 1440, but ill give it a try. I cheked another games and most noticeble 120 fps was in rogue company, fortnite (in fortnite its even shows ingame that it runs on 120 fps) and sea of thieves.

@@JM-qn3tf The blurriness is very very subtle, but you're going to be able to react to people 2x quicker than at 60fps. So I guess it's personal preference
Me either. Idk why in this game I don’t feel the difference when in 120FPS but on Vanguard I do feel the difference immediately. It’s very strange. Vanguard feels a lot more twitchy on 120Hz
technically yes, but also no, its just statistics and it hasnt been proven in any scientifical way, however its been proven that higher fps does improve gaming performance, whether its reaction time or the feel (feel does matter to make you comfortable playing the game you're playing) or the response time (higher fps = faster controller/keyboardandmouse response time).
