    Second case. While a sad ending, the entire episode was a breath of fresh air. All litigants and parents are calm, respectful and well-spoken, without a single shrieked "That's a lie!" Even when the defendant was uncertain about sending a message, he didn't deny it, he just said he didn't remember.

      @@iykeharrison9161 Except trust wasn't the issue; he wanted complete control. Even his mom says he is controlling. Also, what is the proof? Her mother? Who was obviously lying to break them up because he was controlling and decided he was going to control her as well? Her trying to hold back that grin when she was asked if she was doing this to break them up tells it all. The lie detector test? The lie detector is faulty and not admissible in an actual court of law for a reason. This is because it is well documented that certain people can pass the test while lying, and others who are telling the truth can fail the test. There is no evidence that any pattern of physiological reactions is unique to deception. An honest person may be nervous when answering truthfully, and a dishonest person may be non-anxious. "The lie detector test doesn't lie" is a fallacy because it can and has lied many times.

      @@shadowkissed2370 nah. You're moving the goalpost. When a person is cheating they have no respect for you. A lot of times it's easier for women to understand when it's a man cheating on them. Lie detectors are inadmissible in court because you can trick them. However, the average person does not know how to deceive a lie detector test. That's moving the goal post. Why not focus on the fact that she was cheating and it should be his decision how he proceeds. Not the subjective things.

    • @shadowkissed2370
      @shadowkissed2370 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@michaelbell8627 No, lie detectors are inadmissible because they can be faulty, not simply because people can trick them, e.g. If you are anxious for anything, it can read a false positive, and vice versa. As I said previously, there was no proof or facts presented that she was cheating. They had a woman who admitted to doing things to break them up and a faulty lie detector test. There is never an excuse for being abusive and controlling, and the fact that you try to make excuses says a lot about you.

    2nd case: I believed she knew but was ashamed of her actions. This younger generation is taking it for granted, having unprotected intercourse and forgetting the consequences of these actions or maybe turning a blind eye to it. Mr Murray & his family are dopes if they stick around & support her cos she'll be off with another guy every 2 months, that kid will have more "daddies" than imaginable & each time she's riding a new horse 😉 the Murray's will be locked out. They'll get more attached to that kid as time goes on, but the mother will float from one guy to the next & she'll call the shots because Murray has no legal right to keep seeing the kid.

And yes, I maintained my virginity until I was married, and so did my husband. It's absolutely unnecessary to maintain old "guy" friendships. I love my husband. Why would I want to go off or visit old boy friends? And by the way, my name on here is Flint, but I am a female. • @nm7023
      @nm7023 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Polygraphs don’t “lie”, but polygraphs aren’t reliable because they can produce false positives and false negatives if the person has (for example) taken benzodiazepines before the test. Drugs and alcohol can affect the test. That’s why real courts don’t consider polygraph tests as admissible evidence.
      However in this case the woman answered both questions on the same test, at the same time.
      If the polygraph got it right for the first question, then the polygraph is right for the second question. Because she answered both questions on the same test, at the same time.
      Can’t claim the result for the first question was reliable but the result for the second question was unreliable and the polygraph got it wrong. That’s not how it works. Either both results were reliable, or both results were unreliable.

    • @johnp.2267
      @johnp.2267 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nm7023 Almost.
      It's true polygraphs are inherently unreliable, as they also don't take into account severe anxiety, heart conditions, high blood pressure, asthma or other respiratory illnesses, and mental illness. Polygraphs rely on the recipient being in good standard health, both physical and mental, and comprehending the questions being asked, not to mention the questions having to be basic "yes or no" format. If there is any gray area at all, that can also skew the results. That's why two questions, basically the same question worded differently, can get two different answers and have both come out to be the same results, whether truth or deception.

    • @johnp.2267
      @johnp.2267 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @camocamouflage I'm not defending anyone. I'm relating facts about the inherent unreliability of polygraph testing. She might have been lying for both questions, or telling the truth, but there's no definitive way to know, because polygraphs are not trustworthy as a method of determining such things.
