- In this video I discuss the use of objects in the Finnish language.
Perus Muoto - when using olla verb alone, describing, having something (countable objects only)
Partitiivi Muoto - food/drink/substance/uncountable objects, partial objects, partial/long/incomplete processes, negative sentences, when using a number bigger than 1 with an object
Genitiivi Muoto - 100% of singular object
Monikko -T Muoto - 100% of multiple objects
Monikko I Partitiivi - Same as Partitiivi, but for multiple whole objects (less than 100%)

Thank you. I"m studying Finnish and was wondering about objects and found your explanation useful. You present yourself well.
"Luin kirjan" is perfect kirjakieli. In speech most would say "Mä luin kirjan", in Helsinki at least.
Keep making a lot videos like this.
Not just bigger than one, you go with partitiivi also if it's like half a thing.
This is true!! The same as puoli... Okay, any whole number bigger than 1! 😅
What is the difference between nama and Tama
Tämä is this and nämä is these (used for plural). Similarly, tuo is that and Nuo is those. I hope this helps ☺️
