Audiobook version of Jamie's Bathhouse scene where he explains the events that transpired in King's Landing. Read by Roy Dotrice Background Music: House Lannister Suite Game of Thrones
There are very scenes from the show that come close to matching GRRMs writing, but Nikolaj Coster-Waldau really was epic in this one. I'd love to hear him reading this chapter, no disrespect to the late, wonderful Roy Dotrice of course
Interesting - high lords and knights of the Kingsguard, the most honourable men, like Gerold Hightower or Barristan Selmy, would've done nothing to stop Aerys' plot to destroy King's Landing. Especially after Brandon and Rickard have been burnt alive. But a man everyone considered craven, who had served Aerys for many years, decided to speak up. He failed, of course, but that shows how people considered bad and cowardly can show real courage in hardest moments
The books are so sensational and rich with amazing characters. Jamie indeed goes from someone we loathe to one we root for and deeply care about. Brienne is the knight Jamie always wanted to be. It’s too bad the show got ruined and Martin will not finish the books.
Such excellent writing. Jamie goes from antagonist to favorite character in one chapter!
Top echelon writing. ..
The Character Arc really takes off here.
He was my favorite character since his first chapter in the books.
It’s hard to realise Martin’s superb prose when all you’ve seen is the show. This is outstanding.
The concept of Jamie losing the hand that cursed his name is really interesting.

BY WHAT RIGHT DOES THE WOLF JUDGE THE LION!? BY WHAT RIGHT?!
And this is where we all start to like Jaime.
You omitted one of my favorite parts.
Brienne yells for the guards and says "Help! The Kingslayer!"
Jaime. My name is Jaime.
Is that from the book or show?

And be disregarded and looked down on throughout history.
Just like in the UK & those who speak up against the impending Caliphate
If only he was the brick slayer.
