      Bob you are right. In some traditions of Islam outside the Qur'an, it suggests Muslims should not fraternise with persons considered wrongdoers. It is often called purdah - putting a curtain between yourself and others. It says nothing about killing prostitutes, people on drugs or petty thieves, just do not associate with them. Only God knows the truth about what people do. Th Bible also says I am not my brother's keeper. It is not the concern of others to highlight minor crimes of others. The Prophet himself turned his face from those telling him their sins. If told him three times he apologised that he would have to pronounce punishment if they told him three times. I have read a hadith saying that Muslims should remove themselves from the company of homosexuals and nothing more.

      @@hikayaworld It is certainly true that most children going through puberty get involved in acts that may be considered as homosexual such as touching or hazing. Are you saying children as young as five should be thrown off cliffs. Despite I have never found that hadith. Homosexuality has been or is not uncommon in historical Royal Courts in Muslim countries. In Arabia, historically orphans have been known to survive by homosexuality. This is recorded by Laurence of Arabia. We also know that sexual assault of prisoners is not uncommon in the Arab peninsula.

    When I was young I used to beg God, "Why did you make me this way?" The response I received ranged from silence to "I'm sorry" to "I had to so that you would understand." Many years later I think I do finally understand, whether I wanted it or not God gave me the gift of an open mind, an ability to know what it feels like to be in the minority. God never made me feel less than human, other human beings did that. There were times when I did not feel like going on and it was God who said, "Please keep going just a little longer, I love you. I've already lost one son, I don't need to lose another." Some of you believe this is a choice, and in a way you are right - any one of us can choose not to have sex, but it's a lot harder to "choose" who you fall in love with. I think a being of infinite wisdom and compassion can tell the difference between a loving, committed relationship and a lustful, promiscuous one. I have already made my peace with God, but for those still suffering I would ask you to consider allowing committed relationships, to allow someone to exist in a stable, secure, loving way rather than be condemned to a lifetime of shame and loneliness and/or promiscuity. They have done studies that seem to indicate for every male child a mother bears the chances of at least one of them being gay increase. To me this makes perfect sense because if you already have a big family you don't need more babies, you need an extra set of hands to help. None of us are perfect. I now choose to see this gift as a blessing, not a curse. The divine made me understand what love really is. It's not a simple mechanical act, it is not what is between the legs, love is felt with the heart.

      I agree, but I was somewhat disappointed to hear him say that one should refrain from same sex acts just as a child molester should refrain from his/her predilliction. Same sex acts based on mutual consent of mature adults is between them as Sabir Ally himself said, whereas child molestation is predatory and destructive. His association of the two issues, even in passing, was unfortunate and, my cynical side says, perhaps even intentional. Other than that, he tends to be measured and compassionate in his lectures on a variety of subjects. It's sad that he has to labour to reconcile a sometimes cruel and oppressive ideology with modern values.......

      Glory be to God, Allah Taala mentions how atrocious this act is when He mentions Lot's people, connected to this is the Hadith.
      In Abu Dawud, hadith 4447.
      Ibn Abbas reported, the Messenger Of Allah said, ''If you find anyone doing as Lot's people did, kill the one who does it, and to the one whom its done''.
      Athar statement 4448, Ibn Abbas said, '' If a man who is not married is seized committing sodomy, he will be stoned to death.
      This death penalty is the position of Malik and Ahmed and Shafii and Hanifi. So is anyone going to challenge this?

    I agree with this man strongly. But we are living in a modern society where Homosexuality is not a moral issue. We don't cut the hands of people who steal (except Saudi Arabia) anymore because it is inhumane. Same as killing homosexuals for entirely being themselves and minding their business. Believe it or not, you've met a homosexual before, your family member, friend or just a certain stranger. You can't tell which is a homosexual. People need to understand that we humans have to understand that our society is a peaceful one compare to before.

I have seen read about many people who mock homosexuals and say things like their punishments are horrendous. The proper guidance is by love not by hatred. That is Islam for me. There are many people who are not engaging in sexual acts but are fighting their urges. everyone have a challenge in their lives and we don't understand that. the thing is that hurting others i would say that is the boundary and making one's challenges waste his life. Saying that, he is true that if there is no fixed mentioned punishment on homosexuality then the best answer should be “ it’s prohibited in Islam and our only job is to offer da’wah and rest we should leave to day of judgment “.

    As a gay Muslim, I appreciate much of this. This is far more compassionate and kind than what most Muslims say about people like me. I have actually received death threats from other Muslims. Where I have to part ways with Dr Ally, though, is first, the people of Lut (peace be upon him) were out to gang rape strangers. There is a difference between rape and consensual acts of intimacy. Also, consensual intimacy is not the same as child abuse or an inclination to harm another. A desire for love and intimacy is not the same as a craving for pork. These are very flawed analogies. But Dr Ally is correct that we must not claim for the Quran what it does not say, and so the Quran's silence is as much a challenge to me as my cis-straight siblings in the ummah.

Allah says in the Qur'an to obey Allah and obey the Messenger (sallaahu'alayhi wa Salaam). How do you obey the Messenger? From the authentic ahadith. He said it doesn't say what punishment they should get in the Qur'an he sounds like the lady who came to rasullah concerning not getting tattoos in the Qur'an and rasullah told her it says obey Allah and obey the Messenger(sallaahu "alayhi wa Salaam). There is ahadith that says to stay away from men who act like women and women who act like men. Homosexuality has no place in Islam and muslims need not to be around homosexuals.

    What he's saying is completely true! EXCEPT that the Quran is only a fraction of Islam. Islam, like all religions, is also defined by its leaders and preachers. The problem is that many of these preachers are teaching hate against homosexuality. Hate against liberal ideas such as the right to challenge ANYTHING, women can be treated at the same level as men, atheism, freedom of religion, etc...
    Islam has now split into a peaceful religion and a hate-harboring religion. Where 90% of Muslims agree with hostile solutions for their responsibility of spreading Allah's glory

    • @nawfal1521
      @nawfal1521 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Individuals define individuals, societies define societies, ideologies define ideologies. The term Muslim defines an individual or society that attempts as best as (humanly) possible in this case to adhere to Islam. The 2 are actually distinct. The Muslim does not define Islam as Islam is a pure universal submission of all things to the Creator. Much in the way matter submits to the law of gravity. However a (human) Muslim is a mind that has chosen to align its actions in such an active concious submission yet also dealing with inherent human short comings and flaws in that application. So Islam stands stands alone, definition uneffected by Muslim observers or adherents. However a Muslim community or individual can and do define themselves. Long after Man has corrupted the religion and faith of God, Islam will not have changed, only the manner in which man expresses his degree of understanding and willful submission will have changed. At some point a community of self determined Muslims may actually have deviated far from its true meaning. So we must be careful of how we act and define ourselves and our community. But do not be concerned for Islam...it shall always remain untainted. Only the human soul is what shall be tainted if Islam has become abandoned. By that I mean, if we as humans grow apart from and or push others away from Islam, it is ultimately ourselves who we damage. We will be responsible for not only leading ourselves astray but also others. So as much as we do not define Islam, we do define ourselves, our society, and we are responsible for providing a clear path for others to see Islam that they may make their own clear decisions on the faith. Understanding human nature is to understand a human will likely discriminate based on flimsy superficial face-value information, and knowing that entrusts a Muslim with the responsibility to enable another human soul to approach Islam in the best possible manner. So though we don't directly define Islam we are entrusted with the responsibility of Dawa and helping humanity as well as stewardship. Our responsibility is greater than simply an individual defining one's self alone.

      You clearly don't know what you are speaking about. Because you are mixing non Islamic persons ("Muslims") with Islam. Islam is a Arabic word, the root word comes from three letter: S L M.
      Witch means I think five things, among them: peace! And the word Muslim is a verb, it means someone in action/ someone practicing something, in this case: spärren praktiskt Islam/peace. So a what a Muslim (that is IF he is a Muslim) is to practice Islam/ peace.
      So if a person doesn't practice Islam/ peace, is he a Muslim/ peace practicing person?
      So do not associate not peaceful persons as peaceful. Do not call people Muslims (peaceful/ peace practicing people) if they aren't practicing Islam (peace).
      And if you would as many other people try to put forward a vers witch seams non peaceful or aggressive, try first to read the context, and then read all the verses about the subject to get a complete understanding of the subject related to the vers. As we should do, we should not conclude an opinion ..

      a wrong practice done by some people can easily spread within them ...like u said "era" it's not something natural ..or else people wouldn't make a big deal about it if it was there since the beginning....it's just not natural and got no role in the continuation of life...men and women are created to be with each other it doesn't need too much thinking ..

      @jakdax77 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      lovatic 4 eva So just because you were curious about other people, means everyone else was curious? That doesn't make sense. There are many gay people, especially in the past who wish they weren't gay. Who wish they were born straight. But the fact is that their hormones and biology are not attracted to the opposite gender. And so they have to accept and be happy with who they are. And us as humanity must help them and let them live the way they want in society, rather than outcast them. People being gay doesn't have any real effect on society.

This calls for having a genuine relationship that is based on living a sanctified lifestyle. A relationship with God is the most unique lifestyle that one can receive.

    • @manifesttruth4081
      @manifesttruth4081 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Angus Lee Salamun Alaikum. I am a Muslim. Just so you know, homophobia and not agreeing with homosexuality is two different things. You call us homophobes just because we follow what Allah tells us? We are not sorry that we love Allah more then His creation. We care about our souls way more in the head after then we do in this life. Allah has a reason for everything. Let me give you the science as to why homosexuality is not the way of God. God created man and women to be together, Hence “Adam and Eve” God creates the us for one reason and one reason only. And that is to worship Him. And He created male and female so that we can continue to reproduce and keep the world going. Now think about what I’m about to tell you. A women and an women can not reproduce, neither can a man and man. Why is that? Why cant two people of the same sex reproduce? If it was ok with God for the same sex to be together, He would have made it so that all relationships can reproduce because that is the reason we are here. To keep the world going so that we can continue to worship God. Now think about this. What if the whole world was gay? 🤔 what would happen to the world? Our species would die out and there would be nothing left. Why? Because no one would be reproducing to keep it alive. Now this is not an opinion, this is scientific facts. We all know this to be true. This is not to be mean, I am just being honest. God made it only so that man and women can reproduce for a reason. And even now you have science trying to make a way for same sex couples to have children when that is not possible because even now , to have children, you still NEED the opposite sex. Science is not smarter then God and they need to understand that. May God guide you all. 🤲🏾
