They're both autistic, Orla more seriously so than her mother.
I think that Orla wouldn't be the same if aunt Sarah was a more responsible parent. It's a good thing that auntie Mary is there to take care of the rest. Erin and Orla do have a beautiful family.

I love how she’ll say something dramatic like “my nerves are wrecked” but still with that same dazed, far off tone and expression. It’s comedy gold. I get the sense that Aunt Sarah did a lot of acid in her heyday. 😂

The writing, the timing, the delivery, and the acting (and production) here are all absolutely first rate.
The baby in episode one was screamulous! The way she pays such close attention to whomever is speaking.
sarah speaks and moves in such a delicate way. i love it. even her mannerisms are very delicate.
