Unless you know him personally I am sure you are still looking at the act. When you say "normally" that is probably still on the TV, right? That's his image, the laughs in this video are probably closer to how he really is "normally".

@DC Mackey Matt Berry's voice is so distinctive that I've even heard people emulating it on voiceovers (not one of the many, many voice gigs he's done but "soundalikes" that are obviously not him). I can quite imagine real-life Clem Fandagos asking voice actors "can you deliver the line as Matt Berry would?"
Brian Blessed, Joanna Lumley, Matt Berry. Possibly the three greatest speaking voices of all time.

I loved this show. The three main characters are awsome. It's sad that Katherine hasn"t starred more comedies. Her voice and physical performance made Jen adorably funny

As much as Richard says that he was told to use his normal voice, there's definitely a difference, his natural voice is deeper than Moss'
He was also a younger man. Perhaps he’d not yet hit puberty

Not shit sherlock, he has totally different voice on travel manand various other more recent programs
His normal voice also has an entirely different tone that's a little more irritated but not in a bad way
Knowing how close Noel and Richard are in real life makes me wish that Moss and Richmond had more interaction in the show if only for the bloopers
This show is horrible except for a few moments here and there. Britain should stop trying to Americanize their comedy.

I think it's just enough so it didnt decline in quality and thus became more memorable.
@@JustOneGuy It's strange to think a show like Blackadder only has 24 episodes (plus specials) and Sherlock only has 13.

Mike Campbell most shows with laughter have laughter tracks not an audience.
@@MM-dq2pi I'd take it Happy isn't used to non-American shows. Outside of America, it is much more common to use a live audience, rather than canned laughter. That is why you don't hear that "one guy" that is heard in every single American sit-com. You know, the one with the seagull laugh, sounding a bit like Jimmy Carr, but with more bass.
Sorry, might have ruined it now... Once you hear him, you'll hear him in every episode of every show, from Cheers, to Friends, to Frasier, to Big Bang Theory.
@@Misfits822 why did you come to that assumption? most shows with laughter have an audience not a laugh track.
@@DefMettle That or they do what How I Met Your Mother did and they play the episode to an audience and record the laughter. Gets you real laughs but makes production easier.

Introduced my 74 year old mom to this during quarantine and now she can't get enough of it! Warms my heart to see her LOL'ing to one of my fave shows.
Oh, I introduced my parents to this show recently. They sent me a video of their dogs where they were laughing at Denholm Renholm casually stepping out of the window!
I found it on Netflix in the US when I was going through cancer treatment. Laughter is such good medicine.

Ironically if you have the DVDs , on one of the seasons, if you leave the menu screen on idle, it cuts to a original sega megadrive style mortal kombat sequence ! Anyone else ever seen this?

Having worked in the IT support field for a long time, this is my favorite show of all time!
I can only imagine how hard it must have been to keep a straight face and stay in character while working on the set of this show.

I don't know how to explain but British sitcoms feel way more real than American ones
Perhaps it's the cameras they use but British ones just don't look like they're on a set where as American ones look glossy
Either way both are sets but British ones feel real

I think it's cause Hollywood uses actors and actresses that are way too chiselled and perfect looking. To me, European shows are far more relatable because they use people that look human and not caked in make up. (There's exceptions of course, Breaking Bad for example.)

Fan 2 Fics absolute sense! I feel like American shows (and I’m American) set everything up to be completely understood with backstories established. I feel like British shows more or less drop you into the show and you have to keep up with them. They (British shows) also tend to use the inner monologue perfectly and the characters just seem more realistic when they interact with one another.
Richard Ayoade always seems so in control during interviews and gameshows, always staying in the bit and never cracking, so it's interesting to see him flub and mess up.
It's incredibly surprising to me that richard breaks so much, to be honest. i just expected him to just say all his lines unfazed in one go and be done shooting in an hour

Just discovered this, via Netflix. One of the best and funniest shows I've ever seen! Chris O'Dowd's talents have been wasted on the crappy Hollywood films done in the U.S, and Richard is a comic genius! Love this show!

Such a shame this show only went 4 seasons. It's obvious from the bloopers that it was incredibly fun on set together. There were no dull characters.
In Britain they're called series and honestly getting 4 of them is considered a good run in the UK.

I saw that too! It's her smile. Her face and eyes relax and the apples of her cheeks change her face shape. Crazy how big the change is! Amazing. I'm not not creep btw, just an artist/animator.

one thing these bloopers make me think is how much better it is to have a real audience in a sitcom, so much more natural than laugh track shows
I love the fact that most British artists and producers etc. consider the different art forms as actual art, and don‘t over-monetize everything, like in Hollywood.

I love this show. Such absurdist slapstick comedy. The sillier the better. Just the opening of the show alone is hilarious.
