Hey everyone welcome back to another video! Today I am super excited were taking a look at the CHEAPEST RV on the market that can tow 20,000lbs! This is the 2021 Nexus Ghost 34ds. I love this motorhome it is big and nice! It sits on the International chassis and it has a cummins 350 hp engine. What is alos so great about this motorhome is the inside height! If your a tall person you will be able to stand up with plenty of head space. Also the super C market is HOT right now and for alot of people bigger is better to with the towing capacity of this TRUCK you will have no problems going up or down the hills!

Hello Matt & Andrea, Nice review on the Nexus Ghostd👍 3 things dislike & likes- Dislikes- 1. No tankless hot water heater 2. Controls for water on outside 3.No rear bumper. Likes- 1.Power cord reel 2. Tall ceilings 3. Refrigerator 4. Cummings engine W/ Allison Transmission 👍 FYI: I don’t know if you found out about the passenger seat controls, they should be on the right side of the seat. Hope you guys are enjoying your new gig posting videos everyday we enjoy them!

The 33DS and the 37 DS have W/D. You can get the oven, but most are optioned with microwave convection option.
Likes:
1) This is literally THE FIRST over-cab bunk I've ever seen that I like. The mini lights are perfect for reading or if you need to get out of bed for whatever reason, and not having windows means not only privacy but no worries about rain leaking in on you while resting. Also looks comfortable. Well done!
2) Dinette/Kitchen: BEAUTIFUL! I love the light chocolate finish on the cabinets, the sink and counters are gorgeous and there's a decent amount of storage. Plus that fridge - OMG.
3) Bathroom/Bedroom: Roomy, beautiful, comfortable. Almost perfect!
Dislikes:
1) I would have liked to see a little more decorating detail for this price. The light chocolate color is a great improvement over the standard RV color scheme (tan-dog turd brown), but it would be great to see a little splash of color at the slides or around the edges of the cabinets. Not a deal-breaker, though.
2) As beautiful as the kitchen is, I would have loved a standard oven and a little more counter space. Again, not a deal-breaker.
3) That was it. This is a really gorgeous motorhome!
BTW: Looking good, Matt! Looks like you've lost more weight. Go you!
Dislike: At this level, I would have expected a washer/dryer, I would have wanted a ladder to the roof, and I would be sure the off-driver's seat moves back enough. The colors are nice, layout is nice, I do like the wardrobes in the back. Great job guys! So glad Andrea is back!❤️Jane in SC
The 33DS and the 37 DS have W/D. The ladder is optional, my 34DS has one and I wish it didn't. never use it. The passenger seat move back. It is electric. It moves up/down, tilts, and goes fore and aft electrically. They should have got familiar with the rig before doing the video.

Hello Matt, please refrain from saying the body/structure/frame of this RV “is 72% stronger than Aluminum which means it’s 72% safer”, I just don’t think there are any test labs or governmental agencies that have tested your theory and verified your claim...I don’t want you to get into trouble if one of these gets into a terrible accident...just saying! Remember many cars and pickup trucks are made from Aluminum (frames and bodies) and in those cases some are designed with CAD and are stronger, lighter than steel...
I agree, you -can- say stronger is safer, but safety is not relevant to strength. Also you might get sued because you said that. With fame comes responsibility unfortunately... Love what you are doing, just don't want you to get in trouble. Oh, and HI Andrea!
I’ve been noticing that what you lose in interior features on a super C you gain in towing and storage capacity. Would like to see a combo washer/dryer. Suggest that they lose the cabinet above the door and mount the TV there or utilize a televator integrated into the dinette. I’m not a fan of split galleys on the driver side slides.
The Ghost has W/D on the 33DS and 37DS. I have the cabover entertainment center instead of the bunk. Much nicer.
This is one of my favorite RV's! If you put a U-Shape'd dinette with a televator and I am sold! LOVE THIS LAYOUT!

As you did 1st..
3 dislikes:
1- the wasted Bedroom walking space from having a King size bed instead of a Queen. I'd rather be comfortable and have room to move around the bed.
Then reposition the bed to face front, allowing for another window.
2- no skylight above cab bunk. Better all tinted windows surrounding whole top.
3- captains chairs don't swivel completely around or have enough leg room up front.
3 things I love about this 2021 Ghost:
1- tow capacity
2- the design body, paint, rear (as you all) front...ect.
3- inside how roomy, ceiling hight, the lay out. I like the bathroom, kitchen, residential fridge, front area and color scheme too.
We ordered our 34DS with a queen bed and much more room. The cab seeting has plenty of legroom. Both seats were fully forward. They seats are fully articulatin electric. They go forward/backward, up/down, and tilt.
Thank you Matt and Andrea! This GHOST is really badass, but that horn is going to loose them a lot of business! I bet that a lot of us would not buy it because of that horn from a 1970 Toyota Corolla. It is easy to forgive or get used to a lot of things, but that horn has to go!
You can add an air horn for about $200 and a couple hours work.
For a $195,000-200,000 RV, you would expect them to put in an air horn that costs them less than $50 to buy and install.

@@EdisonWong2004 Honestly, yes. I know they have to mark that up 300% over cost, of course, but a basic car horn is weak sauce. $269K MSRP is Class A territory. I love what they are tying to do, but this price range is half of the class As that General RV sells. You have to give something better than a typical class A at this price if it's a class C. Better materials inside, better options for free, better TV brands...
I love Nexus superC's. I love the steal construction, I love the CCC of over 5,000lbs! I love the storage space inside and outside.
I don't like the traditional decor, I wish it was more modern cabinetry and wood work. I don't like the size and placement of the television. I don't like the water hookups, it should be all in closed I the wetbay. I would love a macerator pump.
The TV is on a swingout and you can see it better.
Three things I don’t like: 1. Living room TV. 2. LR TV. 3. LR TV

The air horn and ladder are factory options. My Ghost came with both. The 33DS and 37DS have washer/dryer.

Why??? Dark interior!! Bunk over the bead is like a cave. Rather have neutral back splash.
Kitchen: Almost no counter space. I agree with Andrea. Kitchen design could be better.
I would rather have money put into daytime and privacy shades rather than automatic blinds, especially since it is only on some of the blinds and it isn't like you can use one button to open or close them throughout the rv.
THANK YOU for always showing these vehicles with the slides IN. That is one thing that not enough reviewers think of, and it really matters.
Don’t like:
1. Where is the leg room on the passenger seat?? That was horrible! I hope there is a switch Andrea just couldn’t find.
2. No oven. 🤦🏼♀️ How do you build something so great that you could live in it full time but not include an oven? Especially if you provide a fridge big enough for real groceries! LOL
3. No counter space. Where do you dry your dishes?
Likes:
1. I love the dinette. I love the locking storage! Super practical and I can’t believe I’ve never seen that before. I love the location of the dinette. I don’t know why, I just really love it where it is.
2. That magical medicine cabinet. And the super cool cabinet above the door. Loving these practical uses of every inch.
3. The 20,000 lbs of towing. We just sat here listing 15 ways we could use this for both of our businesses. Incredible. I think we found our new goal in life. 😂

Three Dislikes: #1 The overall interior is lackluster. #2 I totally dislike the kitchen. The space is completely awkward. #3 I agree about the bathroom area. You have to give me a reason to call this C Super.

Good entry level alternative to the higher priced Renegade and Dynamax. I like the steel framing. Nexus is upping their game but not there yet. I want a front kitchen with a mid living area and TV across from the sofa, not over a door. I want more electric less or no propane. Insta hot heater. Batteries on a slide, higher end lighting, not puck lights. A complete inside wet bay. All that in about 38 feet.
There are three other floorplans. The batteries are on a slide. Mine pull right out on the slide tray.

The motor home in the video has a slide battery tray. That is standard on the Ghost line.

I love the steel construction! I love the insulated tanks for four season camping! Great towing and cargo capacity. I hate how small all of their bedrooms seem to be. I hate how small the kitchen is. I hate how the overhead bunk feels like a cave.

I'm a little late here but here goes. What I like: Azdel, steel structure & metal storage with square corners. What I don't like: dark wood in interiors, in the older ones vessel sink, the big mirror on the wall. Let me put my own mirror or picture in.
Lots of nice features, but lack of counter space is a deal breaker.
On the plus side...glad to have you both back!
This Class C is amazing and perfect for my family. We will put it on the list to visit in person 💕🥰🙌🏾

I think the corner kitchen sink makes me feel like I would bump my head on the overhead cabinet. Prefer two sink openings vs a single large. No soft close drawers. Someone needs to develop a tv arm that swings and lowers so you’re not craning your neck to see it. Interior fabric is nice. Wood color not so much. Welcome back Andrea!
Crump catcher's. Lol! You can put vent filters in the floor vents. It heats much better and helps heat under belly. I am not a fan of sink separated from kitchen. Just not efficient. You need sink & counter top by a sink!
The corner sink is a great idea
A huge refrigerator & beautiful dining area but w/zero countertop space to prepare a decent meal. Or dry dishes.

3b. Passenger seat.
The passenger seat is a fully articulating electric seat. It moves up/down, fore and aft, and tilts. The seat was fully forward. She failed to know her product. The 3 switches are on the out side of the seat, just like most cars and trucks. The cup holder is the International design and it can't be moved (I've tried). My toilet is angled back and works well. The following year they moved it to the center.

Likes: I'm not a swirly-kind of girl, but do love the Ghost's paint job; love interior colors; chrome bus mirrors, the rig is a beast. Dislikes: not sure about kitchen; placement of shower; agree put all the business stuff in that big bay. That's it. I do like Nexus. A lot.

Needs option of tv pop up in console office dining area with chairs, and option for theatre seating in all these rigs. Great that there is a king bed, great 500pound bunk. Nice rig.

I don"t care for three slides in a Class C. I'm all for having both a daytime shade and privacy shades, but not electrically operated. The backsplash is too 'loud'. The cargo capacity is wonderful! I love those cup holders & they made the most of the kitchen, esp with a decent sized convection microwave! Nice interior storage for this length!!
Here is a tip for the residential refrigerator, you put those rubber closet pads on the glass so that things do not slide around in the refrigerator
Love the doors open sideways,not up.like blues and grays paint,TV in overhead.love the fridge,some are so small.

I like that the dining table is on the camp side of the rig. Like the towing capacity. Wet bay should all(potable water and outside shower) be inside the same compartment with other wet connections.

Agree on the shower. It is what it is. But sucks. I would rather see a Queen bed and have a little more room. I also agree with Andrea on the counter space.

What is the point of an outside shower washing area if you have to walk all the way around the RV to go in the house after you rinse your feet off. We would never use it because it’s on the opposite side from the door.

Don’t like that passenger seat doesn’t move back for my leg room, don’t like the cup holder, and don’t like the way the shower opens ( I prefer everything in same room and not split). I love the color scheme, I love that it has three slide outs, and I love the design of the kitchen and that refrigerator (wow). The interior colors are gorgeous and maybe the only thing I’d change is put a u-shape dining table if it is available. Overall this is absolutely a great Motorhome ! Love you And Andrea are back filming. I enjoy watching y’all as much as I love watching the reviews!❤️❤️❤️

Welcome back Andrea! You’re daughter did a great job filling in for you. 😄....the Ghost is wonderful, but the passenger seat was way to close to the dashboard ...also, I would like a televator by the booth. I wasn’t crazy about the backsplash, but that’s just personal taste. I actually like the bathroom separated because with the bedroom door closed and the lab door opened, it makes a much larger space. Love the paint job and the towing capacity.

👍 Smashy! Dang, that puppy is big 'n tall inside, didn't realize it until you mentioned it. L: chassis and cockpit; wide open living space; kitchen appliances big fridge. D: needs kitchen counter extension; would there be a slightly smaller residential fridge that allows for a non-radius shower?; tight space to walk around in bedroom; could've moved water fills and outdoor shower into wetbay; weak horn, big-A super C should have a beefy horn to hint to those camping in the left lane to move it or go deaf from a few good blasts of a real American horn. Stay safe you two. 😷😷😷😷

I'm considering a 36DS, using this video for my feedback to Nexus. Likes - towing capacity, storage for days and generator up front, not in the rear. Dislikes - need to swap fuel/def fills for more convenient fill ups at truck stops, need a washer/dryer hookup in bedroom wardrobe with bunk beds and needs an air horn.
Needs a hand rail for the entry by the steps inside. Could mount on the wall by the frig. Need to use the Wraith 32W floor plan in the Ghost because not enough kitchen counter space.

Same dislikes as before tv mounted in the bunk front cab, 2 the shower retractable 3 no stackable washer and dryer. The likes kitchen layout the automatic leveling and the toilet and sink separate from the shower. Thank you 😊

Love love,, love the ceiling height, pocket door and corner kitchen. Didn't like the back splash, it should have gone all way to cabinets; passenger seat needed a slide out computer table and rv didn't need the automatic shades up front.
Matt/Andrea, Excellent review! 3:-) 1.)Agree w/Shower-to tight; **2.) Under the coach should have at least one "Full Ht. Pass Through" for larger items? 3?.) Is Theater stg. option available? w/a fireplace for ambience? Also....somehow? Also a W/D Closet Hook up at Primary? These would be huge improvements for the full time trekker! Likes- 1.)The massive Towing capacity, 2.) Dual AC, 3.) Interior Storage! Great review.
The chassis and motor etc. are so great a tiny bit of full timer input would have made this entire unit great. It’s like they hurried up the ending of a story at the end. This would be great for a week but a month with two weeks of rain stuck inside a lot or a pandemic in Michigan with everything closed not so great.

I agree with Andrea, the kitchen sucks. There is no counter space to work on and not enough storage.
No washer/dryer hookups,. no divided sink, no counterspace. Add the extra 4 ft and make it a GOOD coach.

I do love the Nexus construction and would prefer a Nexus over another brand if they actually built a smaller unit with a better floor plan. For me the Rebel 30R the best of the Super C's from Nexus, but still not in love with the layout. A simple small slide in the living area only or no slides is my preference. So Nexus, any chance at making a 30ft or slightly less Super C on the same chassis as the Rebel with a floorplan more like the Coachmen 27XPS or the Entergra Coach 29K? Maybe I am the oddball that likes less or no slides. Having a 4x4 with floorplans similar to the two I mentioned would make for the ultimate boondocking machine. Rugged, simple, functional.
Do not need a pocket door. Would like to see a CPAP station by the bed. Ok with shower. Agree with the components. The layout could better. The horn needs to be upgraded. Wish there were more room around the bed. Also, would like to see a rear closet
I like the dinette, the kitchen set up and all the space!
Kitchen sink needs a window.
The bunk over cab is rather dark as well. I liked the refrigerator.
The backsplash would have looked better with silver instead of gold. Or even just mirrored tile where the gold is.
How much money you spend on this RV the outside valve should have an lock able door over them. I like that you can walk though the RV with the slides are in. I like that you can sleep in the bed and use the bath room when the slides are in. I like that the over head cab can hold up to 500 pounds. The RV entry door on the inside need a bigger grab bar for someone with weak knees can pull them self inside the RV and something to hold on to going out

Needs the airhorn. Love it, but really lacking in counter space. You guys need to Review the 37DS as soon as one is available.

LIKES: 1) the usability of the rig when the slide outs are in, 2) the kitchen, I think it is great how they designed the sink and corresponding cabinets, so that it is usable when the slides are in, 3) i'm not a fan of double front slides because normally it means when they are in that you cant walk easily though but with this it works and when they are both out it is HUGE....
DISLIKES: 1) AIR HORN, Matt If they had this in OCALA, you would have to send everyone right out to Chrome 75 first thing..lol, 2) The shower, i really think it could work and believe it is the door that is on them, I would love to see the industry in whole change that curved door to just a vinyl shower curtain, 3) even though I like the kitchen sink area, I agree about the counter space, maybe include a mounted coffee maker or something to show how it could work out, after all we really need a coffee maker in all rigs.
But great review and really something to think about, small but really roomy, oh and is it Solar prepped?
I have a 34DS and you are right, the rig is fully usable with the slides in. everything is accessible.
The air horn is a factory option on the Ghost. Mine came with one from the factory. That being said, I've never used mine as that will get you shot here in Texas lol. A lot of us 34DS owners have change to the vinyl curtain as it gives you a little more room. My ghost was solar prepped. They have a factory option for panels.

So this is the 2nd Nexus review I have watched on your channel, and I must say one thing has jumped out on both videos. Those televisions in the over the cab bed area. Seems that they would make it an uncomfortable viewing angle, as you pointed out in one video, but additionally, I just keep picturing someone in that bed either continually hitting the tv with their head or kicking it all night long. The "televator" option seems like it would be a better fit (just my opinion). Otherwise, I am liking the brand more and more. Side note... Just started watching and following your channel today, and I think you two are awesome. Keep up the fantastic work, reviews and videos..
Move the cup holder, would like to see storage and not a bunk above the cockpit, and maybe a larger shower that would be what I would change
I did an entertainment center over the cockpit. lots of storage and better tv placement.

Likes: amazing occc, kitchen back splash, light colored furniture.
Dislikes: oppressive dark wood cabinetry, awkward kitchen layout/no counterspace, no windows next to over-cab bunk.
went thru a Ghost in Tampa at another dealership and really liked it , liked the fact you could use the bed while on the road and plenty of room with the slides in especially if you are traveling with kids and or pets to move around .The cons were some cosmetic issues that were in that particular coach...seemed cheap!

dislikes - water bay controls not in the bay, no air horn, drink holder in cab need to be in the center, no ladder, tv location, no seat in the shower, queen bed with shelves, pocket door before the bedroom, extend the couch slide shelf to match the sink, use same brand of tvs, no washer/dryer combo. Likes - length of the coach. Pauls seating, cargo capacity, paint, tires could be 80s R 22.5, great chasis.
Our next Motorhome will be a super C. Thank you for covering them.

I didn't like
1. That there wasn't an option to maybe put in a removable table in the floor by the couches for a bigger family perhaps. But if this is for a couple, no worries.
2. Where do you put the stinky slinky with out contaminating other bays? Used to my travel trailer bumer.
3. Like the look of the kitchen sink area just not the functionality. Making sandwiches and or trying to wash and slice tomatoes. This is where that make shift table comes in?

Likes: steel cage construction, dinette/drawers. Dislikes: no ladder, small TV, small screen in cab area, cup holder location, terrible lack of kitchen storage. Question: when you're hooked up to shore power, do you have to leave the door open? Matt and Andrea, great review (as always). Matt...I was watching your older videos and in one you described the toilet as failing the PPP, but you said it was "poo-able doable." I loved that description and wonder why you don't use that description now?

Nice Nexus product. We watched it and realized the 34' MH is just not big enough for us with 3 big dogs, but we also learned a lot, which is great. My 3's:
Likes:
1. The opposing slides. Definitely a must for us.
2. The bedroom storage and layout is great.
3. The corner sink. ( altho the cabinets are less useful as a result).
Dislikes:
1. The co-pilot seat. Does it go back? Or would that interfere with the dinette?
2. Not a lot of bathroom storage.
3. Kichen needs more counter space. Any way to add a peninsula?
BTW, I do love the construction, the exterior, and the mid coach entry. Those are definite pluses. Thanks.
The passenger seat is a fully articulating electric seat. It moves up/down, fore and aft, and tilts. The seat was fully forward. She failed to know her product. The 3 switches are on the out side of the seat, just like most cars and trucks
The colors are nice; inside and out. I love Super C's. The 34' size is great to fit in my driveway.
I would love it if all the service bays were on the driver's side (i.e. propane tank, batteries) There is no excuse for a motorhome of this size and price to have external water hookups. Not a lot of kitchen counter space.
