6 In 1 Circular Saw Cross Cut Jig :Part.1

  • I made a multifunction circular saw cross cut jig.
The jig made by me can also cut small pieces of wood of about 1 cm and you can attach a miter guide that cuts at any angle between 45 ° and 90 °.
It became a jig that can cut all six types, but if you add a miter guide it should be able to do more various processing.

Nice! I patterned mine after a $700 Festool table that lets you hinge a panel from a panel saw up, and slide the work under it for a zero clearance cut. I built mine as a quick attach to a table saw to take advantage of the weight and flat surface. Biggest thing is devising a mount for the panel that's quick to mount and release, and accurate as 90 degrees...
You lost a little cut with the stopper, as a longer piece would let the blade come close to the back support.
I really did like how you made the crossbars adjustable!

Looked at several of these, and think this is the best. The type with rods and linear bearings are industrial grade, but far more expensive and harder to build. I used 3/4 "L" extrusions 1/8" thick, and mine is super accurate. Be sure to use the HDPE tape or your aluminum will gall and seize up.

    Hello there!
I would rather use the end raiser as a perpendicular fence for the cross cuts. Because aligning each piece to the laser guide every time you will make a cut can be very tedious.
I call "end raiser" to the support where the saw ends its travel. Use it to make the cross cuts. It will be faster that way. Just make sure it's perpendicular to the blade.
Very nice jig though. I like the gauge for cutting any angles!
