- I made a circular saw guide using an aluminum frame.
The cost of parts is JPY 17,000 in Japan.
In other words, I was able to procure parts for less than $ 200.
* However, there is no guarantee that parts can be procured outside Japan for $ 200 ...
The aluminum frame is cut at the factory.
Therefore, it can be easily assembled by simply joining with bolts.
Not only woodworking but also aluminum frame can be processed stably.
Ideal for start-up woodworkers who do not have enough processing equipment.

アメリカで８０２０のアルミはかなり高いんですが、今の日本はどうかな？アメリカであれを作ったら、おそらく丸鋸ぬき４ー５万円ぐらい？
どっちにしても、JSKさんの道具作りビデオはいつも面白い。他のより細かい気にしているので、いいものいつも見せてくれて、ありがとうございます。
そんなに高くないですよ。
日本では1.6万円～2万円で製作可能です。
例えば一番大きな600×300のアルミベース板は3000円で手に入ります。

Instead of complaining, my friend, go ahead and search the net. Uncle Google will tell you everything! :)))
I found the profiles of interest to me in a few minutes. They differ from those used by JSK as I intend to significantly change my frame. In fact, I only take the idea of using factory-made duralumin profiles and fasteners from JSK.
However, if you intend to accurately recreate the idea of JSK, I'm sure you will find very similar profiles (because I guess it's mostly about them).
For me, it is to act as a template for cutting elements of kitchen cabinets (but not only) guaranteeing exact right angles and repeatability of dimensions. I intend to add easily replaceable size limiters so as not to waste time on repetitive activities. I assume a modular structure adapted to the size of the cut elements: larger - larger frame, smaller - smaller frame, so that "small" stops do not collide with "large" ones.
I am providing a link to the manufacturer and the profiles I have chosen. I live in Poland, so the German company will easily send me the ordered profiles, because both countries are in the EU. I think they will send them to Russia too, after all, DHL has no limits. At most, costs will increase slightly, but that will still be only a fraction of the cost of the factory-installed device.

They are all Misumi afaik. If you are from America or Asia you can buy directly from them but if you are in Europe you'll unfortunately need to have a registered business account with them (or know someone else that does) to order. I've been trying to find someone with an account myself cause I'm from Ireland but it's not all that easy unfortunately.
@@MacMeaties Yeap, got it, in Europe it is not easy to get those Alu, partly impossible. Therefore I will combine his idea with the wood plate with some Alu stuff

But the problem is they might not have a good quality and I saw many bad reviews for the product have dents and scratches during shipping... I'm from Philippines by the way working here in Saudi Arabia and looking some good stuff in Japan...
@@MacMeaties I had a search for Misumi, and all I could find was a tools supplier... I've gone looking for the aluminum extrusions before, and I've pretty much concluded that I have to order from a chinese merchant to get them to Sweden... Got expensive fast with S&H, customs, taxes and all that...

if you live near a misumi distribution center you can get that amount of 4040s for like $30. the hardware would probably total a bit under $100 though unless you got cheap chinese versions

I agree American girlfriends are expensive… but as someone else pointed out in the comments it seems the materials are sourced from here: jp.misumi-ec.com/ and cost about $100-200 total.

現在、これを作成しています。
910mmを切れるようにと1200mmのフレームで作成してますが、めちゃくちゃ重いです😂
そのかわり作りはしっかりしているのと、治具作成に精度の要るカッティングが必要無い（組み立てのみでいい）ため、最初に作る治具としても良いかと思っています。
大きなカットはホームセンターで行ってもらうことを前提にすれば、もう少し小型なものでもいいのかなと思います。
おそらく1200mmだと10キロにはなるんじゃないかと…
パーツを買い忘れたものがあり、完成には至ってませんが、完成が待ち遠しいです。

でも、今回使ったアルミフレームの材料費は大体どれくらいかかりましたか？？
ベニヤ板で作る丸鋸スライドガイドを考えていましたが、湿度や使用回数でベニヤは劣化しますのでアルミフレームの方が断然良いです。
あと、アルミフレームはAmazonなどで見た事ありますが、丸鋸用スライドレールは見た事が無いです。
Ｌ字アングルバーではないので、型番を教えていただけると嬉しいです。

If you want cheap and crabby quality tools then you can look for tools "Made In China" . Not all tools from China are bad quality, they do have lots of good tools too, but you have to pay for higher prices. Like everything else in this world, the better built quality products involve more detailed planning, design and manufacture cost. Therefore more expensive. My theory is...Pay a little more for tools/products with good quality and they will last a lifetime...You will save more (money, time and headaches) in the end plus the most important factor... .ENVIRONMENT WASTE will be less, better for planet earth.

What model of Makita circular saw? It has everything, a good dust port, improved blade angle fittings. Very nice.
All the Makita saws I searched online all seem to have a grey magnesium blade angle fitting - while yours seems to have a chromed (and I'm sure very accurate) support
Japanese domestic market Makita circular saws are different than can be bought in other countries (partially due to our voltage being at 100v, which is lower than anywhere else in the world.)

@@Bakafish Ah I see, very interesting! So basically Japan has better machines :). From the looks of it, the circular saw really does look far superior.
@@JustinShaedo Ahhh, I didn't even look carefully as I have 3 circular saws already, I don't like tempting myself with shiny new things :-) The cordless stuff has a lot more overlap, but as you note there are still differences. One thing that is interesting is that a lot of US tools are made in CN whereas the JDM versions here are still made in Japan. The US market is really cost competitive, so I can't really blame them, but something to note.
I cannot send you congratulations, not because your work (that is excellent), but because you are going to make many persons unhappy by showing them the magnificent materials available to you, but not for many of others! Sincere admiration for your work and video, extremely well done and enjoyable! (you make me feel jealous!).
But Alfredo - this Aluminium extrusion you can get in almost any part of the world!
Also the Makita saw - and that plus some fasteners and screws is basically all you need

But is the blade on the circular saw installed the wrong way around?? I could be seeing this wrong...
Its backwards for cutting aluminum. Its a trick of the trade to flip your carpentry blade around for materials that are prone to chipping or galling. I don't actually have the ability to articulate why it works, juat that it does.
This guy is great and I love what he does, but many of the aluninium profiles he uses here I just can't get hold of in the UK.

200$ ~15000р. Не из дешевых получается. Не каждый готов выложить такую сумму на самоделку, да еще с которой мудохаться пол дня для сборки. Прибавим к этому еще и чистку стола от опилок, которые будут во всех щелях... Если порыскать по просторам интернета, то есть готовые направляющие для циркулярных пил разных размеров, выполненные из анодированного алюминия и ценой от 2т.р.. Но за идею и аккуратность однозначно лайк!
One gigantic, beautiful puzzle - which, if you can figure out how to put it together and then figure out all the ways it will make your life easier, is worth more than it's weight in gold.
No bevel cut therefore no worth it. I do same with ordinary plunge saw and guide rail.

Have you watched the whole video? ;-)i thought the same at first - but when watching the whole thing he shows how he cuts into the "stopper-profile" and one measuring tape runs from one side if the cut to the right - the other ine from the left side of the blade-gap / cjt to the left.
So everything is fine and what you noticed logically explainable
This is not done primarily for woodworking but to get views on youtube
