I really like your work and your videos. I tried downloading the plans for this and I could not figure out what I was reading and how they would be step by step plans. That is too bad because I would even pay for them. Instead, I'm going to have to watch this video 10x and see if I can just figure everything out using logic. I really wish your plans were more clear to me. Anyway, great videos, and great building - thank you!
The drawings are available for anyone who wants to know the dimensions of each part. The dimensions of the jig are very important information and are the key to the design. The drawings also include notes that are necessary during production. I will consider adding the production steps to the future jigs. Thank you for your valuable opinion.
@@kikikumastudio Thank you. I ended up watching the video enough that I was able to customize it to my situation. Mine is slightly different dimensions and very slightly different design (I don't have a router so I used multiple pieces/thicknesses of board with space in between them instead of a groove carved in one piece of board for the sawdust channel). I loved your idea of the larger drill hole in the wood to allow for slight movement of the tracks so as to get them to a true 90 degrees by testing the cuts before finalizing it by drilling down the aluminum. My Makita saw is also a different size than yours and I had to accommodate it's dimensions, including it's sidewinder drive, so I had to grind and sand my right rail to the same height as the plywood bracket. So even with your exact measurements, I would have had to customize them for my saw anyway. I also used a board cut to 45 degrees instead of a bar. And the thing works BEAUTIFULLY! I just made a few series of shelves using it over the last few days and it's perfect. Thanks so much for you videos and your design. You do great work. I also got to visit Tokyo and Kyoto 7 or 8 years ago and I think you have one of the most beautifully organized countries I've ever visited. I had so many life-changing experiences there and met some of the sweetest people I've met in my travels. And the food..... my goodness. Can't wait to go back. Keep up the good work!
When the cut is finished, the blade comes out of the jig. Due to the structure of the jig and the circular saw, your hand will almost never be in the position of the blade, but safety is the most important thing. It's a good idea to decide where you will place your left hand when using the jig. If you're worried, you can attach a block to the left side where the blade comes out. I'll make a simple drawing available for download. Thank you.
That was great - thank you! I’ll be using your design to make myself one.
Glad you liked it. Thank you!
Merci beaucoup vos vidéos sont toujours très bien d’autres et très instructives 🤩🤩

Vou fazer. Esse apoio lateral com a madeira foi uma grande ideia, evitará o metal envergar com o peso da ferramenta.
Thank you. I'm glad you found it useful!

I'm glad you found my video useful! Thanks for sharing the jig idea.
Sempre bravo e molto preciso e pulito....mi piacerebbe vedere un video sul tuo laboratorio....se non n giorno ti và..... grazie mille....
Thank you! I'm currently renting an old shed for my workshop. I'll make a video when the new workshop is ready. It'll probably take a while though.

I added a reference drawing of the blade guard to the kikikuma store. It's free. I hope it helps.
