its such a shame that the 488 GTB has not gotten nearly as much coverage as the 458, this car is pushing the boundaries of performance and tech yet there is little buzz about it. shame.

people just dont like the turbos, unlike the 458 naturally aspirated v8
Its probably due to the fact people keep dismissing the turbocharged engine it has. It has over 600 hp and ridiculous aero which is great, but the heart and soul of the car has been replaced and you really can't blame people for that. They want naturally aspirated engines

2019...and the gsme has changed...C8 Corvette..similar specs for 60k...the 488 is awesome...but the C8 is within reach

One thing most ppl forget is that regardless of how cheap you get it. The maintenance costs as much as a 100k+ car would.

When I was a kid, there was a semi trailer on my street with the doors open. Inside was a brand new Ferrari and a Lamborghini. That would have been in the late 80's. Of course I went in the trailer and looked around.
people sound silly going on and on about the sound of the engine, its just noise, loud noise that irritates everybody else on the road who will think 'douche' if i buy one of these, it will be in auto mode...aint trying to be roadkill..will buy for its looks, not unearthly speed...what for?

the blue on the Spyder is stunning
one thing "reviewers" NEVER mention...the driving position on exotics ABSOLUTELY SUCKS! imagine sitting at home in a chair, now move both legs right a foot or more. regardless of what anyone might say, the position is three things. 1) uncomfortable. 2) uncoordinated. 3) distracting as your brain has to continually compensate. anyone who says otherwise is, to put it nicely, a fool.
You ... got ripped of with this car .... One gauge .... only one gauge in this car the tachometer ??? for 250k ..What is wrong with Ferrari. Most guys who can afford this car are over 45. Most guys in this age group want a ton of gauges not just one. This car is missing .... Oil temp ... oil press... water temp ... exhaust temp. ... fuel ... clock ... voltmeter .... all missing .... I'd pay 5k extra for each ... about 2" diameter please .... just make sure you can fit them on the dash.... We want to be driving a sports car not a Buick.

bumps are to higher and Ferrari can not pass it because the front off Ferrari so low..how people drive Ferrari Lamborghini when they have to pass over speed bumps?? I have no idea!!

+alban panxhi …not really. The last GTO was in 2009. It would be too soon before they unveil a new GTO. And besides they wouldn't waste the name on an entry level car. If anything the replacement for the F12 is more likely to receive the GTO moniker
Clayton Cortina yes the last gto was in 200o and we are geting now in 2017 it may be realised in late 2018 is a decade os not that soon
And the gto was initialy a racing car so they ruined the name with the 599 actually making a gt car to a race car the 488 would bemore suitable to the gto name

My goal is to review cars that either sell in high numbers or are exceptionally interesting. The 488 definitely falls in the latter category.

That's your opinion! I love Ferrari supercars. And the 488 GTB is without a doubt a great looking supercar. But, I think this new Audi R8 is one of the better looking supercars ever designed and built.
