Hello Cryptonites! Here's a Christmas chiller for you. Maybe don't read the comments section until after you've heard it (spoilers can lurk there). If you enjoy, don't forget to LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE. SUBSCRIBE if you haven't already! 😊
Ooo, you're spoiling us. ❤❤❤ First we get extra stories in the last couple of weeks, now you end the week with another Marjorie Bowen chiller. You are the best. Thank you muchly.
@@EnCryptedHorrorit really doesn’t connect to anything in the writing until in the 11th hour, but by then we are more engaged in these “two relatives being themselves an isolated event”. The murder on the corner of a Lady, who was most definitely living in the same place when our Musician was a weak & fractured young girl, seams woven into the scene as a reflection of the child’s potential & the world’s vulnerabilities. There are questionable behavioral abnormalities of the presented youth & so we wonder a bit about this “Lucy”, but our homeowner’s evening confessions of her own youthful pains & desires, somehow entwines the two events such that the Lady of the house survives through the local nightmares & another young lady escapes. For fear or connection, theirs is an understanding. I think this kind of tale was of its time. Writing that sews a tangle of moral ambiguity for what is right being wrong & what is wrong being right- I think of Rebecca. Something about the late 40’s-50’s really blurred lines, just as society was from the micro family level to the macro political level; generationally these themes just had to be birthed by the roaring twenties. The men were all killed & the women were evolving & it shows in the fiction. Those are my layered thoughts. I really enjoyed it. Thanks!
I hadn’t had my glasses on when I saw the newest upload. I read the title and thought to myself, “ The Cheese Apple “? Well, Jasper always does find the most rare and unusual horror stories.” lol another delightful and lovely story from you, Jasper! Never a bad pick from you, ever, and always the best narrations.
Bloody brilliant! Thanks Jasper , what a Christmas story! Like a twist of grapefruit rind in your G & T. (I could see Emma Stone as she was in "Poor Things", as the younger woman ) 🗿🥶
🔥You’re on fire Jasper!!!🔥 This was such a wonderful surprise! I wasn’t expecting another tale from you so soon. My head is spinning with sheer joy! I thank you with all my heart for introducing me to Marjorie Bowen. The other stories of hers that you have read are some of my absolute favorites. This was another great one! Thank you for all the excellent stories you’ve been sharing! ☃️It truly is like Christmas has come early! ❄️🎄Thank you!!!🐙❤️
Hi again. I really liked this even thogh i found it a really slow burner and you could see the outcome very early on, i enjoyed the ride very much. Another peach....?! 🙃
always enjoyed these type of tales. since i was a kid. skillfully told. in fact, usually i am jostled by the narrator's clumsy voicing of different characters. it breaks the spell of the story. not so with your fine handling of the voices. thank you.
She hadn’t been able to make it up until after the holidays was explained in the opened letter on top of the other Lucy’s letter, left on the bed with the Xmas gift of the jade apple. Happy twist of fate…

Thanks for this story ²❤
To be fair the ending is sort of guessable from the moment Mr Teal arrives...
You'd be surprised.
I always hit "Like" on the way in. Saves time as I know I'm going to, anyway.
This channel deserves a huge following. Every production is so polished.
The young lady’s interest in alcohol and income had me alarmed at the get go. I had never heard this story-thank you!
@@juliadia007 She sounded like my kinda gal 😆 apart from the obvious 🍎 🤕 Cheers 🥂
😂 cheers!?@@EnCryptedHorror
@@EnCryptedHorror no one’s perfect! Cheers to you too🥂
You do find such wonderful stories for us, and you read them and produce them so beautifully!
Thank you so much!
So wonderful! For me, the "torture" of the story isn't knowing the true identity of the young lady, as it is what she will do to her "aunt".
@Laffin-mq2zp Especially when she can't use that bed, so she sits up. I was waiting . . .😄

@@CanadianDry1 You're welcome! More on the way through December!
That was exceptional! Just the kind of Christmas chiller so perfect for the season. Well done, my good man!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a great tale - you kind of knew what was coming but feared whether Auntie might become another victim.
I very much love the picture of the white jade apple; so lovely. The contrast with the ugliness of its use is also appreciated.
Thank you so much!
“ an apple a day keeps the doctor away!” Not if it’s slung at your head though. Thanks for another wonderful twisted tale.
@@WilliamTuckwell-r8b You're welcome! 🍏
Excellent story! And outstanding narration, as always Jasper.🙏🌺

@@donaldmccleary9015 Thanks Donald! It's hard to know what to put on the thumbnail sometimes 🤔 so I went pretty literal for this one 😄

Oh Ms Bowen, you never let me down 💜💯
Another good one.
Glad you think so!
Just what I needed 💜 The Chinese Apple was excruciating. Loved it!
@@violetfemme411 I'm so glad! I was a bit unsure about this one, but it is, I think, a terrifically well-written story.
"The whole matter could have been settled by letter" was the old way of how we now say, it could have been taken care of in an email! 😆😅🤣
The phrase uttered the world over after every two hour "team meeting" 😄
What a treat!They just keep coming 👍Brilliant 😀
Thank you so much 😀
Ooh this sounds like another winner from Ms Bowen! 💜
Fantastic! Full of dread 👻
