Hello all! Hope you find the latest EnCrypted horror story up to par. See you at the nineteenth! 🏌⛳🥃 Don't forget to hear me among the cast of Tony Walker's new audio drama "Ashridge Part 1: The Rabbit Man" th-cam.com/video/-FE5LXWCcQo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AJerB0GIGG013G95
Eyup, lovely! Hope this means you've got a long weekend.......I'm watching Paula 'I'm sorry, I can't recall' Vennells, there's a big dent in the wall where I keep head butting it 😮
Most agreeable story. The English language of a hundred years ago is so much pleasanter to listen to than modern day tales; such descriptors, metaphors and detail. Thank you very much for a fine presentation. From Ruth x
My holy (or unholy) trinity for me this week, Jasper, Tony Walker and Miss Worm all loaded stories on this week. Enjoyed this one Jasper, I am a happy lady today, thank you.
12 minutes in, and the words of the old man are sine of the most chilling I have ever heard. This is soooo good! Your narration is amazing! You perfected the tone of the old man.
@EnCryptedClassicHorror same here, my friend! I feel the same way. I want my natural views! The old man's words gave me chills. You articulated that perfectly. This is a true gem of a story! I sometimes want to take a step back in time and live in the time these stories take place.
As always Jasper, I was transported to another time and place. I can't quite describe the tingle I get when I close my eyes and hear the sound effects that you use to to make the story an event of the senses. Thanks. P.s. I can well imagine such a bleak spit of land, because I'm looking at one out of my kitchen window right now. It's not a golf course, yet. But they have started work on clearing the land for one... 😱
I too, have found myself soaked to the skin and nearly drowned, or lost in the fog while pursued by shrieking wraiths, or about to be flayed alive by shadowy creatures because of our dear Jasper...
Only you, Jasper, could make the most boring activity on earth, golf, truly terrifying. It's easy to imagine how bored the first sheep herding golfers were, up there in Scotland, in the drizzle, fog cold and wind, but why people who could choose more comfortable activities got hooked is more than I can guess. Wodehouse is hysterical in The Coming of Gawlf, aka, the new God. You could do it justice, or if not you, Tony. I'd love to hear it. Thanks for all you do. From she who lives in the Hall Bedroom.❤
@EnCryptedClassicHorror Same...as positive as I can muster. I saw a bat tonight on the property, so I ordered a bat house. Bats consume massive amounts of mosquitoes 🦟 which we have each summer. They carry some serious diseases for dogs, so we give our 2 prevention meds. But I've been obsessed with bats for many years and actually volunteered at a bat conservation years back. That's the most exciting update I have. Sad, but it could be worse. Hope you and yours are well 💜
@@violetfemme411Aww, that’s wonderful of you to put up a bag house. It’s so important. In my little college town, close by, we have a small village of three people-sized bat houses on stilts that are home to about 500,000 bats 🦇 its quite extraordinary to visit Lake Alice right across the way at sunset and see the bats flying out. It always seems to draw a few terrified screams and delighted squeals from the little crowd that gathers to watch them. Even though everyone knows what to expect - or should… I do have rather a strong affinity for them (the bats 🦇 not the silly people)
@-Reagan Yes, bats are absolutely necessary for human life to continue. Encephalitis, a disease carried by mosquitoes, would have wiped us out long ago if not for bats. 💜
Thank you Jasper! Excellent as always! Such a treat to have this tale and the bonus of your collaboration story with Tony Walker on the same day! Really looking forward to it! You must have been a busy guy. Hope you get a well earned rest and the exposure you absolutely deserve to a 💩 load of new future fans!!! All Cryptonites will be cheering you on! 🥳🎉🐙
I enjoyed this! Wonderfully atmospheric. Trying to vinyl wrap a shelf here, God knows why; I can't wrap a plaster without making a pig's ear of it. Your dulcet tone eased me through the worst bit, but unfortunately I'm too short on one side now...thank you Jasper. 😅❤
You have absolutely ruined me!! Your narration, different voices, sound effects, the music...they have all ruined me for any other similar channel!! I discovered your channel a few months ago and any attempts to listen to other narrators ends in a flat disappointment. Thank you so much for sharing your talent, time, and effort with us! It is greatly appreciated!
That my friend was absolutely brilliant, i love your use of sound effects it just adds so much to the story. I think Mr Gatiss should look at that story for A Ghost Story For Christmas. That i think was one of your best . Keep up the good work.....and finish off Sweeney Todd....ta 😂
I enjoy these older stories but have you ever read any Steve and Melody Tem? They are a writer couple and “The Man in the Ceiling” is really unique and I think youd like it.
@@EnCryptedHorror the wife is deceased but the husband is still alive I think. I forgot about that I suppose many of the older stories have been under public domain because the authors are long dead. Even if you cant record it I suggest reading it just for your own amusement.
Always enjoy your narrations. I thought I had found another of your channels but the although the voice sounded like you the phrasing was all wrong. I'm wondering if Neuralsurfer channel is using an AI version of your voice?
Interesting. It says in the channel description they use AI narrations based on real voices. One of them sounded a bit like me, but not much. As you say, the trouble with AI is the phrasing's a bit off. Very clever though 🤔

Good one! Obviously Old Nick called up one of the Deep Ones to wreak his watery vengeance.Wonder how Mr Lansing likes R’Lyeh now?

Thank you 🙏
I love your narrations. Your voice is so ideally suited for this. When you get to the 19th Hole, mine's a G and T 😂
I'll join you. Cheers!
Thanks for this. Essence of James...but also original.😊

Your reading, as always, is impeccable- as her wonderful story demands. Kudos.

The old man and me are kindred spirits. I don't care for golf either 😆 A good walk spoiled, as Spike Milligan once said.

Thanks Bertie! From Sh*t Street, East Midlands 😆
Love the fire crackling, the seagull,
Thank you for reintroducing me to the term: 'in a fit of high dudgeon'. I'm going to try it out on my mate's in the pub!
Margery Lawrence must have been familiar with Jane Austen - she also used that term
Ghost stories are the best stories
