I enjoyed the video, i just got myself a M50 Mark II & it’s amazing, i had to checkout how it may be better then previous Canon model’s & call me impressed but it has been, it’s my first high end camera.
I can tell you if you want to shoot action, like birds in flight the t8i is far better. The m50 view finder can not keep up, while the t8i has no problem making it easier to follow the bird. Also don’t let the number of focus points fool you. The t8i’s 45 point through viewfinder works extremely well.

For clean hdmi output, I wanna add that "There is an application Canon EOS Webcam". We can use new released Canon Cameras as a webcam directly with usb cable...
Great video! In short term, M50 mk2 beats the T8i. But the problem is lenses. M50 uses EF-M mount lenses, and there are lots of rumours that Canon might kill the M lineup. So in the long run, it would be safer to stick to EF-S lenses. Also, for photography I would stick with optical viewfinder. For video, M50 is better. However... :) There are better cameras for video than M50, even the fixed lenses Sony ZV-1 would be better. Just because of the 4k, slow-mo, focus advantages.

I’m struggling on which one to get, my budget is $1200 including body and lends. If I went with the MKII 50, which lenses would you recommend? I’ll be shooting outdoors and portraits! Or do you have another canon combo you suggest with that budget ?
Went for M50 mark ii last year and gradually got canon 50mm f1.8 lens, 22mm f2.0, viltrox speedbooster adapter and adapter and now finally canon telephoto 70-300mm is usm ii lens. All worth it!
I would like advise on the best camera or lens for great photos of errors on coins. I bought the T7. Cant get focus on the error. IE a quarter with a strike thru. An indent from something pressed into the coin. The pic of the indent is never in focus. My macro lens is the Laowa 25mm F2.8 ultra macro 5X.

A cage helps alot. It gives it more bulk and weight. Keep in mind that the M50 was designed for social media content creation. Folks wanted a small vlogging camera.
T8i is a REBEL series!! Buy a REAL camera I have the M50 mark II and it’s a beauty!!!!out performs most high end cameras!!!! Just have to know how to use it properly !!! But if your going to invest in a DSLR!!! Nikon D750 or D50O hands down!!
The T8I is a real camera - I've done paid work on a T5/1200D. The camera only does much, it's the person who uses it who makes the image. I use a T8I/850D and M50 MK II combo myself. Thinking about trying a full frame mirrorless but that's a ways of yet.
I can't get through this video because the constant repetition is so annoying! Dude, people know which camera you're speaking of when you're touching it. You don't have to continually name the cameras everytime you touch them!!!

DSLR for photography. Better battery life with an optical viewfinder. Mirror less for video or webcam. It's smaller and cheaper.

Biggest problem of M50 are lenses ... and it's too small into adult man hands ..

As i searched it has a clean hdmi output, but i'm not sure buddy.
The fact that the T8i has a mirror is not the limiting factor on high speed shooting. My old 1D MKIII is 10fps.
