14:19 - if you want to write on wood and don’t want it to bleed, sand it and then ‘paint’ a layer of white liquid glue and wait for it to dry. We cut a circle from the trunk of our Christmas tree every year, make it into an ornament, write our names and the year! Works like a charm!

Your village is turning out so cute!! For the ice skating, you can always do a mirror and then spray with frosted spray to make it not so shiny. Happy holidays!
I was also thinking blue cellophane or foil to make the "ice". And MaCenna can probably find skater figurines in a hobby shop dedicated to model trains.

I like the floor lamp in it’s new location, but think the shade needs to be a touch darker. It might look different in person, but on screen it disappears against the wall. You can put it on your next list.😉 The house is beautifully decorated for Christmas.

MaCenna, I ordered 3 of your candles an hour after your website opened up for purchase, but they have yet to ship. I leave the country in a few days so I really hope they are safe sitting outside my front door until I return from Europe and the UK. I’m sad I haven’t received them yet. MaCenna, I ordered your candles on Nov 22 after watching the comments to make sure Canada was included. Just receceived notice that even though your bundĺe was immediatedly sold out, my 2 candles also can't be delivered by Christmas. Happy Holidays😢
Hi Macenna, paint the lamp the same color as the fireplace. The lamp has a very nice shape and a pop of color in the corner would be so nice😊
Macenna you are completely correct I have never skated on mirror like ice. It's more glittering white. Can't wait to see your bedroom. Love from a summer Christmas in Australia.
For the ice skating rink, if you want it shiny but not reflective, you could use clear nail polish over the white ceramic! Or spray with a glossy clear sealer :)
I think it would look nice having a narrow table with a table lamp (one that’s tall and not chunky so you can see under it and it feels light /doesn’t cover the work you did to the walls) in the formal living room instead of the standing lamp?
I'm wishing the bulb was a wee bit less wattage I'm that lamp for now. Seems rather glaring.

anyone else having a weird glitch from 27:45 to 28:28? it just freezes for me in the middle of the Castlery unboxing no matter if i close or refresh it
You really should acknowledge all of your Auden Lueur customers who haven’t gotten their candles yet. It’s obvious you didn’t have enough inventory at launch, don’t have enough staff to fulfill orders, or simply aren’t organized enough to fulfill orders in the order they come in, but whatever the reason you should let people know you see them and are learning from your mistakes. Saying “I see you” and “I’m sorry” often means a lot, even if it doesn’t change anything

She didn’t explain why it took so long to start shipping, just blamed “shipping at this time of year” as the reason for why things were delayed, which is BS bc it was clearly the step of getting candles mailed that was the hold up, not that shipping was taking long once the carrier had the packages. Do they only have one person packaging orders? Did they not have enough inventory at the start or are the candles made-to-order and so the packaging was delayed by manufacturing issues? And why can’t the Canadian orders be processed after more than a month since launch?
In truth she hasn’t really addressed any of the missteps with her product launch (and there have been quite a few). It’s not great customer service at the least, and it’s not great business practice from someone who supposedly worked in corporate and commerce for years and years and would thus presumably have some idea about how to run a business

Reminds me of when I was a child! We lived in a big old house that, oddly, didn't have a fireplace. My mom hung our stockings on the stairs like that! Christmas morning was so fun - you'd grab your stocking on the way down and open all the things in there first and then the big stuff under the tree!

Just received an email saying Canadian customers will not be receiving their candles in time for Christmas (even though I ordered during the "exclusive access" period). After being promised multiple times that we would get them "in plenty of time for Christmas" this is extremely frustrating.
And the only reparation being offered is 10% off my NEXT order.
I thought my computer broke at 27:47 lol!

Has anyone gotten their candles yet! Mine are a no show so far. I got an email saying they were very busy but assured me I would have them by Christmas! Less than a week until Christmas. I ordered Noel which was in stock and Arlow on the first day we could order!

I emailed them early last week and received what sounds to be the same email. I ordered all three on Nov 19 (a day after the early launch). Then I received an email today saying given my order is international I won’t receive them on time for Christmas and not likely until January sometime. I was given the offer to cancel and a discount for when/if I order again. While I’m sad not to have them for Christmas I’m very happy to finally have some clarity and the option to cancel as well as be given a discount.
I'll be canceling my order. I ordered all 3 on launch day. The thrill is long gone.
Yeah , as the days went by I had time to realize, “ I spent HOW much on candles that definitely won’t arrive in time to give as gifts “. Congrats though ..wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas / holiday of your heart

I just received all three candles! They are sooooo good. Each scent is unique but they all still compliment each other. When I opened the box the scents coming from it were exquisite. No more smelling 50 candles at home goods to try and find the perfect scent😂

Advent Calendars go through the season of Advent which leads up to Christmas. The box you got is for the 12 Days of Christmas which starts Christmas Day. Probably been said but the first day of Christmas is Christmas Day 😊

Just wondering why you ae still pushing your candles when you haven't even shipped the orders you got on day one ( I ordered in the special preview hours)....A MONTH AGO!!! you keep saying to be patient and we'll have them for Christmas.....well this wasn't a Christmas present. I had planned to burn my Noel candle for the season and for my entertaining and Christmas parties. Well they are all over now, and still no candle. Can't believe you prepared for everything....except the shipping- customer service should be your priority. I'm so disappointed...tomorrow is a month since I ordered and it hasnt even shipped yet. Wow...just wow!

Kingsley is in the centre of every unboxing as if it’s her channel. She’s so tiny she could easily fall in and disappear. She can’t get a look in one way little miss smarty finds another way round the back and through your arm. Yeah, she was very busy in this vlog. Loved how you arranged the stockings on the banister.
The stockings on your staircase really elevated that area. Love it! The Fab Fit Fun Advent calendar gifts were nice! Their seasonal subscription boxes are worth it... imo. I still have an oversized black and beige scarf from 4 or 5 years back. It's super soft and cozy. And I can't get enough of Kinsley. OMG, hearing her in the background playing with the ornament had me smiling, then hear you calling her out...made me almost spit my drink out! Lol

Advent celebrates the coming of the baby Jesus and the 12 days of Christmas celebrates the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. The 12 days of Christmas is that celebration. December 25th to January 5th. You usually take time off after Christmas so it would be a long time before we could see the lovely products. Maybe 12 days for Advent is better. 😁😁😁😁

Is the old security panel wired into the electric? If so, seems like you could easily drop the wires down when removing the security panel and install an outlet there to be able to plug in the lamp without running the cord super far. Also, that’s not an devint calendar, it’s a 12 days of Christmas calendar! An advent calendar is 24 or 25 days long, counting down until Christmas Day. A 12 days of Christmas calendar STARTS on Christmas Day, like the song.

Just want to let you know the video seems to be corrupted when you are opening the box from castlery. Mine froze after you smelled the candle and then just cut to after you finished the box
Nothing beats a good running list! I can't function without one. Even just the writing it down secures it into my brain a bit so I remember most of it anyway. And adding stuff as you go for the sheer pleasure of crossing it off so you can give yourself that seek-satisfied smile makes day! You got a ton of things accomplished this day, MaCenna!
The stockings looked perfect there! Love the lamp, maybe just not there permanently. Floor lamps need something to anchor them to their space because they're visually so top-heavy. For now, maybe move the little table back to add some bulk and weight to the bottom half of the lamp. Leave the top clear and just move the wreath a little lower to balance it all out. For a more permanent solution, the lamp needs to be next to the sofa at one of the back corners. Or a chair, but your chairs are on the other side of the room where you don't need light and have a walk through from the front door - awkward and unappealing. Maybe you'll find a spot for it in the family room when you get to that room?

List!! I always make a list and continue it through the week. I love checking off as I accomplish task. Do you ever do something that’s not on your list and then write it down just to check it off 😂😂😂 I do!!!
