I started watching you as a reno channel, but the Christmas video where you put the star on the tree on Ollie’s shoulders and he twirled you around changed everything. There was something so magical and sweet about that moment. It still seems crazy to me to be so emotionally invested in two people (and a darling pup) that I will likely never meet but here we are. I wish you great happiness and joy as we celebrate the season where we eagerly await the birth of another baby Boy. Much love. ❤️

Hi Laura, just a little tip for cleaning the slate on your fireplace and keeping it looking fresh. A little bit of baby oil on a rag brings it up like new. I've had an open fire with a slate hearth for over twenty years and have always used this method. According to my fire fitter it also is good for preventing the slate from cracking as easily over the years. Good luck with the baby. I wish you all every happiness.

Congratulations Laura and Olly and Otto for getting the bedroom done! In case we don't see you again before Baby arrives - do have some wheatgerm oil on hand (sold in chemists - they may need to decant it for you) - amazing for split nipples - enabled me to continue feeding my baby - took the experience from agony to ok. And do get outside for a short walk every day if you can possibly manage it, Laura, after baby arrives, without Baby if its too cold - it will help reset your circadian rhythms and will prevent your mood slipping down. Also, banana stains - but you'll probably used avocado for Baby, being British. Wishing you joy and contentment . . . and sleep! 🙂
Hi Laura, Ollie and Otto. I’ve followed your journey since you bought your house and the hard work you’ve gone through to make it into such a beautiful home. You and Ollie have been an absolute inspiration to all DIY folks and despite some truly difficult projects, you’ve made us feel part of this experience. Will definitely miss your weekly updates Laura and Ollie but it is understandable as you will have your hands full for Christmas and your baby’s arrival. Wouldn’t that be something if the baby comes on Christmas Day! Can hardly wait to see what happens and to meet him. All the best to you both.
If possible would love to see your Xmas decor. Everything is looking good already as a result of your hard work. When you are all done, it will be such a lovely home.

Can't believe I've been following you for over 5 years. How far you've both come. Otto is the cutest dog I've ever seen, his fur looks so soft and thick. Congratulations on all you’ve achieved. I was thinking when you were opening the Christmas decorations boxes, that when you put them away after last Christmas, you had no idea you would be heavily pregnant with your baby boy when you opened the box again this year. It’s moments like this that really make you stop and think.
I will miss your regular Friday updates. I’ve been watching TH-cam for maybe 6-7 and did follow a few different people. However, I only regularly follow you and one other person. You appear to be a very genuine and honest couple - and very hardworking. You’re my kind of people.

I am glad that you are feeling so well. Your home is nearly done, and the journey to get to this point has been very interesting. My eldest child was born a week late, on December 27, so I know what that is like. I think you will enjoy your beautiful home while you are raising your son, and I know you and Ollie will be terrific parents.

This is so exciting ! My great granddaughter is due to be born on 17th January. But with a family history of babies being born early I wouldn't be surprised if she appears at the end of December. Good luck with the birth, just remember it is a constructive pain , not a destructive one, and at the end of it you will have your little one. Remember to breathe your way through the pain and you will be OK. Merry Christmas xx

Wasn’t even a thought until I saw the star but must admit I missed you Laura balancing on Ollie’s shoulder to put the star on the tree but I can always go back to last year to view. You guys have worked so hard this year that having a new baby will seem like a vacation! It will be so rewarding to put renovation behind you and just focus on being new parents. I was due Dec 27th with my firstborn. We moved into a new home just the week before. Talk about stress! Fortunately, my son decided to be late and didn't arrive until Jan 7th.
