I read the comments below and the questions about the history of the house. Sarah says it "dates back to 1987" at the beginning of the video but I think she meant 1887. Beautiful home!
Could we take a minute for THAT SKIRT. HONEY. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT. Also, this woman is so warm and welcoming, taking that Southern soul and warming our cold New England hearts. (I can say that, I'm a native New Englander.) Beautiful, cozy, comfy home. Thank you!
This Homeowner is charming and she has created a wonderful living space for her family. This is clearly an older home and the owner mentions that several times in this tour including that the window glass is over 100 years old so I’m not sure why some viewers are concerned that the home is newer. Bravo to this Homeowner and all of her unique decor concepts.
a plaque on the exterior reads 1897. The homeowner just mixed up the numbers - i am sure being filmed like this is quite nerve-wracking and she did a wonderful job.
I love the beautiful landing. It's huge. Everyone with a landing should consider expanding out the back. She made it so awesome. Room for a tree and chairs. A window seat and the illusion of a square bay with three windows. Awesomeness 😎
What a delightful homeowner. And she's done a wonderful job of creating a home that is filled with beautiful things she enjoys, and yet is not so precious that her family can't relax in it and enjoy it.
In addition to her lovely personality and exquisite yet livable and purposeful decorating style, I absolutely love how she speaks about raising children and yet not being so fearful that one cannot live in a house amongst antiques and furniture pieces. I also love how each piece has a story behind it and one does not feel as if one stepped in a showroom ! Bravo! 👏❤️🇨🇦
Another older house with traditional decor, I live for these episodes. Classic elements that make a perfect backdrop for almost any decorating style. ❤
Oh, my! I adore her artwork/photography. It's really special to be able to showcase your favorite work in your own home. Every piece of furniture, accessory, plant, etc. is absolutely placed with intention. Love this home, love the stories, love her presh skirt!
From the opening outside view to the beautifully decorated interior I was entranced. This is my idea of an ideal family home. I can smell the cookies baking & the warmth of the fire as you wait for Santa. ❤️🎅🏻🌲🦌
This is absolutely gorgeous. Every single thing, including Sarah's outfit! Sarah is such an engaging hostess and I enjoyed listening to her descriptions. I especially loved her photograph above the fireplace.
I love the home and the design approach, and especially appreciate Sarah's photography and the art collection. I mean no offense when I say that I liked this channel's shorter format better. I like to move through the space rather than sit in one place and chat.
Great job on this beautiful home! Love the library built in with the double door to the kitchen just blending in. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
This is the second Massachusetts house featured with about the same floor plan as my daughter's home in the Boston suburbs. It's so much fun to see how three different women have put their own touch on basically the same house.
Coming from a younger person she was so informative about how she took this place transformed it to a HOME for her FAMILY job well DONE HAPPY Holidays to everyone
Thanks for sharing your lovely home. The Christmas decor, trees and garland are beautiful inside and out . Love the mantles. What a comfortable, cozy home. Greetings from Atlanta. Happy Holidays.
An understated elegance throughout. Just love that the black has blue in it giving the library/tv room a sophisticated but inviting nuance. The magnolia greenery is a personal favourite with its lush two-tone textured leaves woven into garland and wreaths - Magnolia the kitty is beautiful too. Just lovely. Thank you for welcoming us in. Merry Christmas. God Bless !
Love love love it… did you make your skirt…it matches the fabric over your mantle…..is your home from 1887 or 1987???? You need to hang more pictures all the way to the floor molding and PLEASE FRAME THAT COOKIE RECIPE AND PUT ON YOUR WALL….THAT IS PRICELESS….Hugs from aGeorgia girl too……hugs carolyn from Columbus GA…I forgot to ask …where did you get the bench in the kitchen….love it darling….Merry Christmas to yall….love all the pretty doors…I used one just Ike it for our headboard
I always appreciate the homes in these videos even if I do not always connect with some the Southern and New England homes shown. This house...I LOVE....I would leave my sunny CA and brave the snow and ice for this gorgeous home. Beautiful!
When she talks about her Dad and items from him (or other family members) it reminds me of little items my Dad made for me that I won't ever part with and how much I wish he could still be here... the importance of family and how much family still influences me as the years go by. Lovely home and host!
I have blue accents in my home too and appreciate how she can incorporate Christmas red in her dining room. I also like how she planned the flow from kitchen island (no seating) to breakfast nook to formal dining room
Love the home… LOVE. that you really celebrate Christmas with the decor… not afraid to use all the red and green but so we’ll done! LOVE THAT YOU TREASURE YOUR KIDS ART!! I’m not one for the sterile minimal look or muted Xmas decor… and this home is so elegant but cozy and so warm. Beautiful!!!!
Please frame your grandmas cookie recipe and hang it on your kitchen wall….how precious and priceless is that!!!!….love your pretty photos from Paris…..so pretty with the silver bubble mirrors on it….I think
She seems to me like a little christmas fairy who points out somewhere and this place soon turns out to be nice😊 greetings from Germany and thank you for showing
Love this homeowner’s style and how she has curated her home. As a photographer myself, I struggle to choose my own images for the walls. She has given me some inspiration for my historic home.
Beautiful home. I grew up in an American Foursquare from 1900 in MA and I miss it’s simplistic but hearty detail. So classic. Great styling of this home. I wouldn’t be afraid to put some of those kid ornaments on the main tree! I have some of mine from when I was a kid. They’re always a conversation starter. My siblings love hunting for them on the tree.
Beautiful! She’s done an amazing job even though she admits as to asking her designer friends for help. Her home is a reflection of her family and her love of photography and art. She’s very authentic and lovely. Thank you!
What a beautiful home. Well done! As a designer I've used F&B Light Blue on 3 different client's bedrooms and also my own. You're right, the color changes constantly and I absolutely love it. But I think F&B missed the mark on the name of the paint. My thought is that it was a Friday at 5PM, they had one more paint color to name and they all agreed on Light Blue just so they could go home. But I love the color. Good choice!
I’ve watched most of these. I enjoyed her the most. Normal, down to earth woman who included her family in the design process. Great design is a marriage of aesthetic and usability. I loved listening to her, even if our design styles are not the same.
"You have to pay the kitty tax" when you walk buy ...:) Loved that and her exquisite photography. It isn't easy to come up with your own take in one of the most photographed cities in the world - but her Paris pieces are stunning! The moody library and the mini bathroom were my favorite rooms. It is a home filled with love and showered with attention and it shows. All around lovely tour and may I say I loved the simple greenery with the shiny satin green bows the best - it suited the home. The fancy X-mas decor screams money and designer, it represents pure glamour...:)- party time!
This home is absolutely gorgeous and I'm happy to see it decorated at Christmas 🥰. All the little details really makes it stunning. I love the older home layouts, there's lots of wall space for art unlike open floor plans.
Your home is beautiful! I, too, love New England, but I also love how you added some southern touches to your Christmas decor. Thanks so much for sharing.
Love your home, it's so beautiful and apparently well thought out! Before I watched, I was looking at the photos and zooming in on the art because I was so loving it ( I then realized it was your photography ) your husband was right you nailed it!!💖👏😊👍
Absolutely gorgeous. Love everything about this house. Very nice love shown to the older home, which is commendable. So many people would have taken the opportunity to undo the size of the upper rooms, which would not be in keeping with the character of the house. This person showed magnificent restraint. And btw, I love that photograph over the fireplace. I would buy that (but not if there's a lot of them out there; rather pay more to have something unique).
I love this home and I love Sarah! She did such a great job showing us around and i love that she was so real and funny and down to earth. I now have "permission" to store my grandchildren's playthings in IKEA cabinets in a small section of my living room that I devoted to them. Your wall color choices are perfect and your home is so cozy and inviting. I'd cry too if i could sit in that library, watch a movie with my little girl and look over at that gorgeous tree!
I love her fresh take on an old home! And I especially enjoyed the photography in this house. Fun fact @SWinchesterStudios I took. modern art class from Pradip Malde when I was at Sewanee. So great to see his work in your home!
You know, Chestnut Hill is not the only!! Town in MA with beautiful homes. The house is beautiful no doubt.. but there is also Boston!!! And many other surrounding towns as well.
I was also confused as many of you are about the age of the house. I was curious why she spoke about being a steward of a 1987 home but she probably mis-spoke. I love this home and she is lovely!
Love old homes. We live in an 85 year old traditional home in California. The original owner brought the traditional style from the east coast to the west coast. But the house is never complete!!!
Yes. And sooooo comfortable. I pair it with a T-shirt and flats, heels or boots, depending upon the weather. I have been wearing it to every holiday party and Christmas event this season.
I'm so confused, 1987 is not an old home. Now 1772 is an old home! None the less, it is a lovely home. I live in MA and Chestnut Hill is a nice place to live.
I read the comments below and the questions about the history of the house. Sarah says it "dates back to 1987" at the beginning of the video but I think she meant 1887. Beautiful home!
The warmth of her personality is reflected in her home.
Beautifully done! She should frame her grandmother's butter cookie recipe and add it to the gallery wall in her kitchen.
Thank you!
Love that her kitchen is for cooking and the dining room is for dinners.
And nobody has lunch in this house! 😂

I love this woman's energy and authenticity! Sarah, you are fabulous!

The homeowner is an annoying dummy…. Who needs the learn what the definition of an “older home” is
Beautiful home presented in such a welcoming way by the owner. I love homes that are traditional and cozy.
She is an absolute delight and her house is exquisite! You can tell right away that she's an artist with a good eye.
Ummmm... Hummm... Wow!!!
@@jenh9361 wow is what I thought too... Every room is so beautifully put together. I love how it seems so very her.

I love her home. “No tree is complete without a train around it.” I agree!
My favorite tour! It’s nice to see a beautiful home with smaller rooms and perfectly decorated! My style for sure and always has been.
Beautiful home, I’m sure it’s from the 1800’s!!
Oh, my! I adore her artwork/photography. It's really special to be able to showcase your favorite work in your own home. Every piece of furniture, accessory, plant, etc. is absolutely placed with intention. Love this home, love the stories, love her presh skirt!

Kindly stated. I must take notes on your style. Thank you.
Awww, the house is so nice, I would have liked to see the kids rooms too!
The mantel in your family room, etc is so winter beautiful. Love your skirt. Thanks for sharing ! 🎄
I love that she is totally about Christmas 💚 And her skirt was absolutely AMAZING 💚💚 Beautiful, comfortable home.

Exciting to see Sarah's home decorated for Christmas!! She was on one of my fav of the lockdown tours on House Beautiful!
Thank you so so much. So glad to see you here.
@@SWinchesterStudios I love your home, so beautiful, I really like your couch in the living room where is it from? Thank you in advance!
Such a nicely livable home with a great Christmas feel. I loved her tour.

Total feel good and beautiful house, you feel like you’re getting a hug.
Another great video of a stunning home. I love what they've done to the home. My grandparents lived in a four square home. Such a great design. 😊
Yay! A Bostonian. I live in Amesbury, MA. Thirty miles North of Boston. In a new colonial style home also but built in 1998.
This was a very enjoyable tour. You have a beautiful, stylish home but make it family friendly too. Thank you for sharing your home.
This home is absolutely gorgeous and I'm happy to see it decorated at Christmas 🥰. All the little details really makes it stunning. I love the older home layouts, there's lots of wall space for art unlike open floor plans.
How wonderful! I enjoyed hearing her thoughts and self-expression - such wonderful taste!
Enjoyed this video so much, lovely home and Sara is very sweet. I laughed at her expression when she said her kitchen always looks this way.
Your home is beautiful! I, too, love New England, but I also love how you added some southern touches to your Christmas decor. Thanks so much for sharing.
I love her! Great style and very interesting backround.

I am going to adopt the Hi-Low-Ha tradition for our dining table conversation starter. I love this idea.

Beautiful home and the presentation by the home owner was thorough and enjoyable.
Definitely one of your best videos .. she is a natural! Wonderful tour guide, so to speak, and a very instinctively talented creative person.
I love her. She spoke my life: "Normally it's all filled with kid junk, but I cleaned it up for ya'all."
I love her fresh take on an old home! And I especially enjoyed the photography in this house. Fun fact @SWinchesterStudios I took. modern art class from Pradip Malde when I was at Sewanee. So great to see his work in your home!

100% my style. The mix of traditional and funky modern art/pieces. Laz Caan is a another Boston Designer who gets this mix.
What library has so few books and that too just coffee table ones? So much potential for the space lost

Yes. And sooooo comfortable. I pair it with a T-shirt and flats, heels or boots, depending upon the weather. I have been wearing it to every holiday party and Christmas event this season.
Library? There’s hardly any books! It’s a small dark TV room:). Very cute modest home- I do love her passion for her home and thanks for sharing
Love your powder room off of your kitchen. Exactly what I would have done. Love Chinoisere
Really enjoyed this tour and the mix of modern photography and art into a historic home!
Each December Homeworthy episode is even better than the last! 🏠 🎄
I'm so confused, 1987 is not an old home. Now 1772 is an old home! None the less, it is a lovely home. I live in MA and Chestnut Hill is a nice place to live.
I have seen a prior home tour on her instagram, I believe she meant to say 1887.
Yes, Cameron arrives and I totally misspoke. The home is actually 1897. I cringed when I heard myself say that as I watched it this morning 🫠
This got me into the Christmas spirit ❤
The landing made my jaw drop!! Stunning!
FANTASTIC 🎄❤️
A fantastic house to live in!!!!
Sooooo cozy....Sarah....going nuts trying to find powder room wallpaper..can you help??
