Hi bro. Do you make single dose? The puck is bit challenge compare double dose as the timing is shorter. I am thinking of getting a different basket like IMS but they don’t make 54mm.
Thanks for asking mate, I don’t prefer the single dose, but I would recommend you to get IMS 54mm for 14-18g you can get one from Amazon. They have two baskets designed for Breville.
@@rr88821 Thanks mate, I have checked on the Amazon site you have linked in one of your video. Apparently, the unit is a clone, not the original IMS. But I do find original ones but they are 58mm. I doubt IMS has 54mm for single dose.
very interesting. I think this is a big difference between the Barista and the Barista Pro that is not advertised. Based on what i saw from your videos, the barista pro provides a maximum pressure of 9 bars. The pressure build up can be less than that if for example you have very coarse grinds but it cannot be more than 9 bars which is good. In the normal Barista, the maximum pressure limit is much higher than 9 bar (it's about 15 bars) which means that the pressure will increase the finer you grind. This is something bad in the normal Barista because the pressure is too dependent on the grind size and can get too high.
It probably uses the ULKA pump. This pump is rated at 15 bar straight out of the pump (I replaced mine although on a different type of machine). The OPV (Over Pressure Valve) should regulate the pressure down to 9 bar.
can you share the rubber size (outer diameter and inner and thickness) , I have ordered my 3/8" to 1/8" BSP and a 1/8' pressure gauge (it will be flipped up side down) but I need to get the rubber so it will not leak.
Hi Jimmy unfortunately. I do not have a caliper to measure it. I have other video where to buy it maybe you can check it out and ask the seller on eBay? The thickness is 4mm, the outer diameter must be a bit less 3/8 standard spout and the inner diameter doesn’t matter. To be exact get a razor and start to measure from the top edge till the top small letters of the word “Razor”, that is the measurement of the rubber outer diameter, the inner rubber diameter it does matter as long the liquid can go inside the gauge. Hope it helps.
Is it me or do you not need coffee in the basket to do this test? The pressure gauge is measuring the max pressure the machine can provide regardless of the coffee in the basket.
I’ve made a special video, based from the other people’s request. You can check my other video without the basket. Many thanks.th-cam.com/video/YRu1AvPhow4/w-d-xo.html
Thanks👍🏼
Why .??

@@mavericktechreview1250 I been using this unit for many months, most of my videos are this IMS 14-18g.

That is interesting to try as well. Btw. Do you use Breville barista?
@@rr88821 yes I have the normal one not the pro model

@@zakac17 interesting mod. Hope you can also share the link to everyone interested to an upgrade?

Did you mod this machine or it runs Stock at 9 bar?
Did you have the same machine? Based fro the video it run at 9 bar. See my other video with the water.
This test does not measure pressure at the pug. You can try various grind sizes. It will give the same 9 bar. This shows only how OPV works at 9 bar.
Sure buddy! Stay tune.
