    I got the sea salt impress ..it’s a fabulous espresso machine and its ease of use with the dose system and tamper is fantastic..I would recommend this machine to anyone starting out on the barista route. My milk skills are somewhat lacking at this point.. Thanks again for an excellent and informative video..😉

    I have the express and I absolutely love it. It makes unbelievably good coffee. Wouldn't have anything else. I'm sure mine makes the steam wand quicker than that. I'll have to give a test!

    I actually first learned how to pull a shot on the Barista Express, so I have a soft spot for it... I would say when it's time to upgrade, if space is a concern go for the Barista Pro, or just do what I did and get a separate grinder and the Dual Boiler! 😁

      The finacial jump from Barista pro to noticeably better system is quite high. Like Rancilio Silvia Pro X + 500€ grinder and you are looking at minium of 1700€

    I ended up with the Brevile colour touch impress model which must be a variant of the Pro for our New Zealand market. I would really like plumbed in water but otherwise it has been very good. Auto milk is great for take away coffee when in a hurry in the mornings. I do wonder how much better the 58mm Oracle model would have been at extracting more flavour and it has front fill for the water. I do find after making 2 coffees in a row when i have guests the 3rd and 4th coffees can vary due to the machine heating up.

    Thank's for great reviews! Question, does Express Impress also have BPA free plastic parts as the Pro has? Is it possible to get water at the same time the grinding is working? I like to make americano, which one u recommend for that?

    Hi Tom!
    Thanks for you videos... really really well done, so well done that I bought a Sage Barista Pro which arrived today :D So I will dismiss my Illy Iperespresso and start using my new Pro :)
    I've seen all your last videos of the Sage machines, and you always use the double shot basket with 18gr of coffee. As an Italian who drinks 4 coffees a day... having a double espresso each time it would be too much! :D
    It would be really appreciated if you could make a video using the single basket for a single espresso shot :) At least watching how you dial, it could be a good start to set mine!
    Thanks in advance ;)

    What are your experiences with longevity of sage models? I have read so many horrifying stories online that I am holding back from the company.
    Background information: currently considering whether to get a DeLonghi Dedica Maestro Plus with the Eureka Mignon Specialita and the bottomless porta filter (~750€) or a refurbished Sage Oracle Touch with (only) 12 months of warranty for ~1000€. The latter one sounds intreaguing at first glance, but supposedly has issues with inconsistent grinds and temperature as well as major issues with the decalc program, which tends to kill quite a few of the oracle touches. Also, from my (not really profound) unterstanding of the matter, the significantly better Eureca grinder should result in better Espresso extraction (and is easily sufficient for a way higher end espresso machine in the long run).
    Any advice is welcome! :)

    The pro for convenience. Any difference in espresso between thermocoil and thermojet? Any issue with pulling back to back shots with the thermojet?

    • @TomsCoffeeCorner
      @TomsCoffeeCorner  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@geomcl I feel like the thermocoil has the edge if the machine is thoroughly heated up (20-30 minutes). I generally just make two shots at a time for my wife and I, and either machine is capable of that. Cheers!

      @@TomsCoffeeCorner Well, I finally chose Pro as I come from an e61 machine and my mainly reason for buying a Breville/Sage was for fast heating, waiting 20-30 minutes takes away the whole meaning of fast heating.

      Honestly, I'd say they are very similar. I'd give the edge to the Express, or Express impress for the longer pre-infusion possible, and because it eventually heats the brew group. Also consider the new Ninja Luxe Cafe. It's pretty awesome.

    Recently I got barista express
    Even there is click in grind settings, I found I can set value in between clicks
    My shot time is not stable though 😅 like 15sec to 50sec
    I wonder I need better grinder for consistent shot time

    • @vivavibes
      @vivavibes 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Every different coffee you use will require different grind settings. If you're using the same beans and getting different results, then you may need new burrs for the built-in grinder or a standalone for more consistency.

    • @TomsCoffeeCorner
      @TomsCoffeeCorner  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is, but you might have to adjust the inner collar to make it fine enough. I’ve showed that on each of my previous deep dive reviews of these models.

    At some point you are going to have to standardize these comparison or machine reviews; kind of like Doug Demiro or matt Watson but for coffee machines.
    I recall some stocks related youtube channel that have standardized their analysis through an excel sheet; splitting requirements into relevant categories.
