This - is a masterpiece, the left hand plays in such a way, that one gets the impression that a pianist is playing with two hands, and tandem with an orchestra is beyond words, the pianist's technique is so excellent, the sound is amazing ! This is a fantastic victory, congratulations to You, Vyacheslav !
Ravel chef d´oeuvre superbly interpreted in the very grand manner. Virtuosity and power are displayed when required and the delicacy and sensuousness that Ravel calls for is just what Gryaznov gives us. Very nice interplay between piano and orchestra and Simonov, a most underrated russian conductor, knows very well what to get from the orchestra. Gryaznov ought be to the western world what Richter, Gilels and Berman were to the 50´s, 60´s and 70´s. Period.
I love that you waited for the orchestra's sound to finish before coming in with the piano in the beginning so it has the full effect. Many other performers come in much too early. Great performance!
Absolutely loved the beginning (easily the most judged part of the concerto). It was filled with strength and had a very confident disposition! Thank you (and the orchestra) for the wonderful performance.
This is certainly the finest performance of this wonderful work I've ever heard. And yesterday I'd never even heard of you! Where have you been hiding? Thanks for posting.
Others have said it already but I feel compelled to repeat it: this is an excellent, magnificent, exceptional performance, especially the pianist but it was a good orchestra too. I've only heard 4 or 5, but probably the best performance I’ve heard. Interesting - I don’t think VG looked at the conductor once, then again the camera was quite distant. He also seemed a bit formal, even bored, when he took his bows - no smile, no enthusiasm. It doesn't matter, the playing was stellar. I guess he was 29 then?
BRAVISIMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......................... he did not touched the piano with the right hand some pianist do and is not good.

I would even say "all other performers (that I've heard)". What a marvellous effect!
Fantastic performance
BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE!! One of the finest since John Browning's!!! Who would give this a thumbs down?
Probably didn't realise it's SUPPOSED to be played with one hand!

Cadence finale magnifiquement interprétée. Bravissimo, Vyacheslav !
Gorgeous performance.
What a magnificent performance! It has all the power and drive that the work demands, yet captures so beautifully its wistfulness and nostalgia too.
bravo!!

Bravo, very beautiful !
Another great performance from you!
Monsieur Gryaznov égale à lui même. Génial

I changed my stage behavior since then 😂
Maybe not as brilliant as Alicia de Larrocha, but still pretty good.
