Paul filling up Michelle's car reminds me of my Dad. He always ran out to fill the Thunderbird's tank before my mom drove it. He died in 1991 and one of my mom's concerns was that she didn't know how to put gas in the tank. My sister showed her. My Dad was quite the gentleman, so is Paul. RIP Dad, today would've been his 103 birthday.

Never factory headers on a GM. The exception is the 69 Z-28, but the optional headers were shipped in the trunk to be dealer installed. Even the highest horsepower from the factory, 460hp LS-6 in a 70 Corvette had exhaust manifolds. Now because I know what the internet experts will say, the Baldwin-Motion and Nickey cars did have headers, but those are not factory cars, but modified by the respective dealerships. Also, some much later Corvettes had tubular exhaust manifolds, similar to a header. And some Astro/Safari vans had kind of a shorty header, made of stainless on the 4.3 V6

Love those old boat cars with big blocks! I try to be the one to fill my wife’s car ever time. I always thought the gesture would make me look just a little more attractive. I thought I was in a group of very few.

My Dad was 85 years old and had to go into the hospital for surgery about 45 miles away from home. My mother was 82 and needed to drive to the hospital to be with Dad. She realized that she needed gas in her car so went to the gas station and had no idea whatsoever how to put gas in the car. Mom would come home and tell Dad her car was low on gas and he would stop whatever he was doing and go put gas in for her. It had been probably 65 years or more since she had put gas in a car. She went inside and the lady that worked there was very kind, came out and showed mom how to use her credit card and then put the gas in for her. I learned how to be a gentleman and treat a lady from my Dad.

I owned a 72 Monte Carlo in 1972 and at that time I managed a full serve service station. I’ve never seen a big block or any other Monte Carlo with factory headers. Most folks don’t know what a service station was. We pumped your gas, checked fluid levels, washed your windshield and aired your tires up if needed. I’ve pumped hundreds of thousands of gallons of gasoline that sold for $0.249 a gallon. That’s not a typo the gasoline was less than a quarter of a dollar for one gallon back then. With that being said I serviced many Monte Carlos with 350s, 402s and 454s and no factory headers.

I once taught Intro to Blueprint Reading classes at a Vocational Technical School. It was interesting how many people absolutely could not visualize sketching anything in 3 dimensions. The artists in the class were very good at this. Paul is one of those artists by bending tubing in 3 dimensions.

Put a good amount of any dish soap on your hands first, then of course rubb them, then wipe off with paper towels before you rinse. This works amazing!...cheap too...dollar store dish soap works just as fine..Dawn is the best but regular ol' dish soap does the job!

My Dad's 72 Impala 4 door with 6ft hood. We put a bumper hitch on it to pull a small boat.
The ball latch lever would it the bumper before it dropped onto the ball.
We decided to dent the bumper with a sledgehammer.
We could barely put a mark on it until we heated it up cherry red.
After completing the job. We remembered the fuel filler was inches away from our blow torch. Filler was behind the license plate

My first car was a 73 Monte Carlo, sat in my dad's driveway for 2 years before he gave it to me. Transmission went out in style in front of the house. I put it in gear and started to move, I hear a pop, clink and and this like every gear went crunch at once and the car wouldn't move anymore, would love to have it now, scrap yard it went long ago.

12 bolt axle, boxed lower four link control arms and rear sway bar, that's an original 402 or 454 equipped Monte Carlo. The 454 Super Sports had oval exhaust tips...It still had the original rear muffler hanger brackets!

Then he laughed about it, and Grandma Lolly had to tell Paul to stop spraying his brother. Video's are great guy's even when you are acting like your not fighting.😅 Oh yea, I like stirring the pot.
