The words "Precise Engineering" are the intimidating part of this lock 🤣. Very nicely picked and always good to get the open. Some locks just take time to pick.
Great picking and gutting my friend! I´m very happy you finally pick this model, congrats for that ;o)) The next victim would be the Kaba20 (and as many kaba8 you can find). Very cool, thanks for showing ;o))
Great job Ash! Once again, in Canada, dimple locks are unusual, and I would have to say that lock in use here would be considered very HIGH security. Patience I have a lot of, but keeping constant tension for so long, I find difficult as after a while my thumb may become less sensitive and I can no longer feel exactly how much pressure I'm applying. So the usual result is I tend to slowly increase tension without realising it until I catch myself.
Nice. I used to work for KABA in Devon back in the early 90s. I worked in the machine shop making the barrels and keys, they even had keys/locks with microchips in to log all people in and out back then!
@@LockNoob So I'm in the "entertain" phase, I haven't reached the trick phase that often. Based on these individual coincidences (4 out of 10) I can say it is the Tension that is the key, the trick that I have not yet mastered.
Very interesting video. I just started practicing basic locks and this looks like a nightmare and it’s so intimidated. Maybe one day I’ll give this lock a try. Thanks!
I notice you didn't show the key working again after reassembly (BUT we "assume" it still works OK) -- perhaps you need to try a KABA Neo Penta with I think like 21 pins in 5 rows?
Nice one. I was thinking how I haven't seen anyone picking a standard Swiss door lock. Then figure out that Switzerland has a special key core design, different from standard Euro cylinder that makes the lock three times as expensive... Aaaaand look what Lock Noob comes up with today. I am not only amazed about your lock picking skills Sir. No. Also your skills in mind reading are outstanding.
bought one and after hours I just got so frustrated. Might mention that dimples are not my strong side 😄 how much of a difference makes a desk clamp like the one you use compared to only holding it in your hand?
I was always a bit intimidated by the Kaba 8, but once you get the hang of it, it isn’t all that bad. Tricky, but possible! 😀
I’ve had one in my tool box for 10 years. Never thought it was possible

Yes, that’s it, it’s real precision stuff. Those tiny bevelled pins wouldn’t act like they do otherwise, it’s quite impressive

How much harder is the 20?
Haha I can feel your anger towards those tiny springs. Use your hate! Let it make you stronger!!!
Mate. I HATE those little nasty springs. I lost over an hour searching for one the other day
Amazing kob picking and gutting this fantastic lock 👌👌
Thanks for sharing 👋
Thanks 😊
Wow!!! That lock requires lots and lots of patience 😬 great job!!👍
🐈🐾🐈⬛🐾🇬🇧🍻

Patience and determination for the win!
Yes!
Great job Ash!

Yeah, this is a tricky one for sure
Very neat lockpicking tool.

Cheers Leon mate
Incredible! - You commentary reminds my of listening to my dentist..... 🤣
Eight Pins that entertain a lot, until you find the trick✌🏽
What’s the trick?!

It looks like your using quite a bit of tension on this one maybe I’ll try that on my Kaba 20 cuz nothing else it working 😂 great picking 👍🏻
Yeah, I DO Use a lot of tension on dimple locks

The only lock you are certain you can’t pick is one you don’t try
First!?
Now I feel the urge to try my little KABA again 😄
Do it!
very good lock. easily opened with a rake unfortunately
I have raked a Kaba 20 before. I think it depends a lot on bitting and a little luck
Great picking mate
Thanks 🙏

It does work, thankfully!
great pick
Thanks 🙏
Well done 👏
Thanks 🙏
My! Your left thumb is likely bruised after that pick. Take care, Ian.

Lol yeah 😁
Well done.
Thanks 😊
I love this lock. It was the first dimple lock, its from 1936.
I didn’t know that. Great design

cool looking lock... where is the music?
Intro?
@@LockNoob lol ha ha ha
And my father keeps boasting how this lock is unpickable 😅
I mean it’s pretty hard, but not impossible
Never picked one, add to the list. Not.
You should. Good fun to learn
