Very thorough--appreciate it when reviewers do part swaps, as that has definitely become one of my main interactions with my figures in recent years (Ravager Thor head has brought new life to my OG ML Avengers Thor figure). I also agree that anyone who wants to sell their Spinnerette should try reading the series first--though they're not the main 616 Peter and MJ, they may be my favorite versions of them.
I love seeing how diffrent hands, heads, and assessories can be swapped between characters. Hasbro doesn't often give the options imports do, but if you hold on to your figures, things add up.

These two look pretty sweet. Now I'm glad I held off on that retro Spider-Man in hopes of them releasing a pinless version down the road, because here it is.
I like the cell shaded version of the Mafex Spider-Man much better. His only downside is you need to be very careful with the wrist pegs to not snap them off. I suspect that's why that version seems to be overlooked so much. Surprised you didn't acknowledge that update.
I completely agree and I also agree with the wrist peg issue as they had to be replaced twice on two of my mafex comic version spideys which really sucks. I’m very happy that the mafex Ben Reilly version is awesome and mafex corrected the issue with wrist pegs and the figure seems much better quality and better engineered. I will say the Sentinel Peter B Parker is now my favorite Spidey figure and is a joy to pose smooth as butter engineering.
I'm really loving that 2 pack version, better head, body, spider logo and coloring. The legs being slightly less muscular is a good look. I sure wish he was a single release.

I'm actually getting this 2-Pack for Spinneret. I'm still very happy with my Pizza Spidey figure, despite all of the new upgrades they've given to this new Spider-Man figure. If I knew that I wouldn't get gouged on eBay for Spinneret, I would buy her from someone there without having to get another Spider-Man that I don't want and save myself a few bucks. 💵
Honestly don’t understand the Spinneret hate. It’s a comic figure people, they gave us vanilla Mary jane, Gwen Stacy etc there are people who will want her for a spider verse display. Yup same here love that Sentinel smooth joints and articulation is phenomenal! Love the poses you can get and super stoked to get the three web split to use as Spidey holding something together or saving the subway rail train!
I’m pretty much in love with these figures as well as the Knull/venom two pack. I was originally going to get both, but now I think I’m just getting Knull and venom. This is an awesome two pack but they just aren’t worth the money to me. There will be better Spider-Man figures in the future so I can wait. Spinneret isn’t all that interesting to me anyway. Knull on the other hand is awesome. That figure is decked out with detail, and the venom figure isn’t lacking either. The price is much higher but it’s worth it for me

But in the "modern" comics, Spider-Man's suit (specially the blue) is "shiny". I really like how looks the figure, if you want a matte Spider-Man you should check out the retro symbiote Spiderman, it's the best Spider-Man in my collection yet.
Mj head looks like the same sculpt as the Gwen Stacy one to me. Just different paint and plastic colours. I might be wrong but that's what it looks like to me.
I'm not going to lie, I really like these Marvel Legends Spiderman figures because they have their own unique designs on how many different artists who drew him over the past few years and his birthday is being celebrated with awesome figures in my opinion So that means, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPIDERMAN!, As always, I appreciate the updates Boog.
The major difference I have observed between the two is that new RYV SPIDEY: 1) has smaller hands 2) has bigger lower legs 3) bigger feet 4) bigger head 5) bigger shoulders. (I assume the used new arms due to the pinless tech). Thats about it. Everything else is the same buck as Retro.
@@warrenrohr yeah I feel the same way. I dont like the headsculpt at all, as well as the oversized Spidey logos. The only advantage this one has over retro are really the pinless joints and the toe articulation. I am going to pass on this guy, I still love my Retro and prefer the aesthetic design of retro over this. I am sure they will release another one in the future. But for now, I am happy with my Retro.

As you mention often and is certainly true, the heads and hands/accessories really make or break a figure for me, especially Spider-Man, and I don’t know why, but I generally don’t like the head sculpts Hasbro uses for Spider-Man. They have yet to nail a definitive look imo. But a question for you…it looks to me like the shoulders on this Spider-Man are slightly bigger than the Retro Spider-Man - can you confirm? Trying to verify it’s not the paint job that’s throwing me off, but they look more pronounced on this new pinless buck.
My thoughts exactly. It really does look like the elbows are painted blue, which makes no sense given the history of all other Spider-Man figures having blue plastic elbow joints.
With all the 60th Anniversary Spider-man figures coming out and plus the rest of the figures that the Hasbro design team will announce. I just might be broke...but you know what I don't care because it's Spider-man.

The blue is took dark for my liking and again, not a fan of the large eyes. I prefer the smaller ones. I just can't justify paying for this, 60? Not being able to visually see the product before purchasing it? I'm very worried that they not gonna be doing as thorough a job checking qc if the figures are inside a box. Don't get me wrong I'll always support hasbro but they don't really care about customers like me who do this on a tight budget. There has been a rise in interest in this hobby the last few years and companies are absolutely running with it. Going the extra mile stepping up their game and raising prices frequently making it even harder to be a player in this game. It does leave a sour taste in the mouth when I've been doing this ten years and really have had to work hard and hunt good deals make my own props and sets but now someone who's got a better job can just waltz in and buy everything they need and make me look like an amateur. These guys who are just getting into it don't know how good they have it.

I think I've noticed something that may be concerning for this Spider-Man figure... Are the elbow joints painted blue? There might be some paint chipping there within the bicep, but I'm not fully sure. If those joints are painted over red plastic, why would Hasbro do such a thing? That's a part of the figure that'll be moved all the time. It would make way more sense to just use blue plastic like they have for every other Spider-Man figure they've made. I hope I'm wrong and that's just red paint chipping over blue plastic, because I can tolerate that.

That Amazing Yamaguchi Spidey is seriously ugly. The problem with 2 pack Spidey is he looks a bit too big. Too tall, big feet, big hands, and big head. Mafex still looks the nicest in the lineup. I do like Select's white eyes better than all, generally.

I’m pretty upset that the paint color isn’t the same as the vintage version, I wanted to swap the limbs. Idk how to paint things I’m not good at it.

I'm very worried that they not gonna be doing as thorough a job checking qc if the figures are inside a box.
Don't get me wrong I'll always support hasbro but they don't really care about customers like me who do this on a tight budget. There has been a rise in interest in this hobby the last few years and companies are absolutely running with it. Going the extra mile stepping up their game and raising prices frequently making it even harder to be a player in this game. It does leave a sour taste in the mouth when I've been doing this ten years and really have had to work hard and hunt good deals make my own props and sets but now someone who's got a better job can just waltz in and buy everything they need and make me look like an amateur. These guys who are just getting into it don't know how good they have it.
I want this.... HOW MUCH?!!!! Hell no! I easily pass on these and all other Marvel Legends figures. These are not 30 dollar figures.
Okay seriously where did you get it did Hasbro give it to you or something or were you just lucky enough to find it because I would love to have that 2 pack and also is it true that it's releasing in December did you actually get that release date from Hasbro or are you just guessing and also I find it kind of weird that we have spinneret in a Marvel Legends Forum but we don't have spiderling yet in case you don't know she is the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane it's just kind of weird that we don't have spiderling in Marvel Legends form yet but who knows we might get her in 2023 and maybe we'll have Spider-Man spinnerette and their daughter all together

@@haidynsworld3820 dude I spell it out in the video. It came from Hasbro. Why is this hard to understand? If you actually watched the video you would know and understand this. It was a reveal and review set up directly through Hasbro.
I think I've noticed something that may be concerning for this Spider-Man figure... Are the elbow joints painted blue? There might be some paint chipping there within the bicep, but I'm not fully sure. If those joints are painted over red plastic, why would Hasbro do such a thing? That's a part of the figure that'll be moved all the time. It would make way more sense to just use blue plastic like they have for every other Spider-Man figure they've made. I hope I'm wrong and that's just red paint chipping over blue plastic, because I can tolerate that.
Finally
I'm realllly excited with this!! Hoping my custom MvC inspired Classic head will fit on it, specifically the Red paint scheme.. but I think it won't coz the 2pck was brighter red 🥲
Nothing sucks more than when Hasbro forces you to buy a figure you don't want because it includes a figure you badly want

That Amazing Yamaguchi Spidey is seriously ugly. The problem with 2 pack Spidey is he looks a bit too big. Too tall, big feet, big hands, and big head. Mafex still looks the nicest in the lineup. I do like Select's white eyes better than all, generally.

It's perfectly valid for some comic interpretations, especially as drawn by the Romitas. If you feel it doesn't look right, luckily you have the option of not buying it.
