When Daigo had the stun at 13.35, he calculated the exact amount of damage he needed for the kill. Crouching hard punch + hard Jinrai + EX Dragonlash + EX Jinrai + Level 2. Very smart and no fluke.
I know Capcom say Luke is the main character of SF6, but I feel like its more of Ken's story, since Ken kinda interacts with the villain of the story, and all Luke does is chase ken around.
Great sets. Looking purely at match results it seems one sided, but when you look at rounds it wasn't that far off from being very even. Many of these rounds came down to comebacks too, no smooth sailing for either of them here.
10:28 is Daigo using Light, Medium Or Heavy Kick for that move? 🤔 He almost never gets punish when using it but I always get punish when I do it :'( I'm learning this game.
That was the medium Jinrai, he didn’t get punished there because Luke’s 4 frame button doesn’t reach far enough to punish the light follow up. When he does it the second time he didn’t do the follow up hit, but this time he didn’t get punished because Luke was scared to press in case Ken did the light follow up again. Daigo is really good at mixing up his Jinrai usage so that the opponent can’t have one consistent answer every time he uses it
If you use a Drive Rush cancel mid-combo, then only Lv3 cinematic will start recharging Drive _during_ the animation instead of after it. I believe I saw an exception in a combo that started with raw DR, then did DRC and ended in Lv2, where it began to recharge part of the way through the animation-but normally, DR cancel totally freezes Drive recovery until the combo is finished, unless you do cinematic Lv3.

I noticed that! I also learned from this that you can use OD Jinrai after OD Dragonlash juggle and still get Lv2.
